I got a call from these people also and honestly didn't remember if did or did not get a loan.  I pulled my bank account statements and saw that nothing was ever deposited.  They gave me the same sh-peal about bringing legal charges and civil cases...yada yada....has anyone ever gone to court?  if so what happened?  I am worried that this may come back to Haunt me at some point in time.

Called stating I had a loan and they were going to serve papers.  Never gotten a personal loan and they called my sister house and said I used her as a reference.  Well I would have told her if in fact in was going to use her.  So she would also know about the loan.  The number they called me from was 1-716-312-6277.  When I told him I would have my attorney contact them they hung up the phone.

These people called my cell, my work , and my daughter phone with the same accusations. Then tried to get info from me regarding a loan I never had. I told them they had the wrong number and hung up. They then called back and asked for my name stating they may have Me or my daughter in their system. Fake. Do not call them back.

I received a call at my place of employment from a Diana with supposibly Garrett and Assoc about an very old payday loan, and she threatened that I would be served at work.

Received a call at work from a Miranda Jones who said there was a complaint against me. I don't trust these callers. They also left the same message on my phone.

I just received a similar call just now from a person by the name of Tracy Stone and this person mentioned something about processing a claim against me and left a file # starting with CR8. When I asked specific questions like the address of the alleged debtor and I asked for her to give me a break down of what she thinks I owe, she could not provide me with the information it was then that she became irate and began raising her voice at me so I hung up on her. She threatened to have me served at my place of employment so if it is legit then I will see how long it will take for them to show up to serve me.

I a message from Megan Green From Garret Moretti & Ross Stated I had a civil suit with my name and SSN will be filed claim number stated with a CR and she stated I could call her back at 713-588-2588 BE AWARE FOR THIS FAKE SCAMMING COMPANY AND PERSON

I received a call from Garrett Mooritti & Ross a claims company. They threaten to arrest me, and garnish my wages. I know this is a civil matter in the state of Texas, and that there is no value to make it a crime when involving payday loans. I have been a police officer over 12 years, and only got this loan when I was out of work on major medical. I requested there address, and they refused. I am the true victim being this company forced the check through my account almost a year after the check was cancelled...The bank gave me my money back after hearing all details agreed it was fraud. I am a victim of identity theft, and wonder if these or the subjects involved. Why cant they give me there address....well because they are frauds.

Same crazy nut called a family member in another state her name was Allison Mitchell and she too used threatening allegations which violates federal law. She also called from 713.588.2588 but on caller ID it showed a different number. They are probably using Magic Jacks to call across United States.... All parties call FTC and the State Attorney General to get them shut down. She claimed to be from Garrett and Assoc. as well. SCAM...SCAM...

Person claims she was Diana Connell, Claims Processor with Garrett, (something) & Ross. Pending allegations naming me as claimant. Need to hear from you no later than 6:00 pm on August 19. Idiot didn't realize she left the message on today, August 20. Think I should call back?  Naaahhh, I'm good.

we just received a call stating investigator william chase had a file with charges for check fraud regarding aloan.Is this a scam. I know we had a payday loan but I thought it was paid any suggestions.The callback number was 713-588-2588

Received a message from 206/430/5343 from Allison Mitchell stating that I had a debt that was 12 years old and needed to make arrangements to pay $384 before it went to judgement and I had 48 hours to respond. When I stated that this didn't sound legit and needed their address to send them a written statement of the proof I needed, she responded that they were at a remote location in Los Angeles (calling from a Seattle number) and couldn't give me an address but that the client would send me information.

Same message was given to me this morning by a family member of mine in New York. I live in North Carolina and have been here for almost 14yrs..... I will call them back on the next business day but thank God I googled the the name of the company and read plenty of comments regarding this same matter. They called from a (205) 561-2204. I will be updating this message tomorrow to share the outcome!

Same message left in my phone stating their office is working on complaint number cr62085 regarding someone who may be a relative of mine. The call came from Garrett Morretti and Roth but the telephone number was 213-995-6205.

Got a message from Natalie Lewis from Garret Moretti & Ross looking for a Clinton Powell who is a family member or associate of mine (never heard the name before).
Same deal call regarding a case number.

I received a call from this number a few weeks ago asking for my dughter-in-law.  It didn't set right with me, so I looked up the number and found this page.  I called the company back they put me through to a Mr. Johnson, he stated he was from Garrett Moretti and Ross and needed to get a hold of my dauhter-in-law for a civil matter that her social securtiy number and birthdate have been associated with.  He stated it was a time sensitive matter and needed to speak to her ASAP,  I asked him for his physical address and he said he was not at liberty to disclose that information because the call was not for me and that was personal information.  I told him you just told me you have a civil matter against her, but you could not give me your address.  I then told him I just googled this phone number and it brought me to this page.  I told him what some of the comments stated and he got very hostile and said he did not need my help in getting in touch with her and hung up on me.  I just received another call from a woman named Laura Bailey, she gave me the same spill as Mr. Johnson.  I told her I needed her physical address, so that I could look her company up to pass the information on to my daughter in law.  She stated they could only give out there address if you gave her your debit card number and agreed to pay $1000.00.  I told her that was ridiculous and she said that's just their policy.  I hung up on her.  These people sound so legitimate, but what company won't give out there address without you paying for it?

Similar messages being left on my cell...Allison Mitchell Claims processor from Garrett Moretti and Ross. This number called my ex-wife (who I've been divorced from for five years) and said they were calling about a civil case against me for a payday loan I took out in 2010. We weren't even married at the time. The first red flag was they disclosed the debt to my ex-wife which is illegal. The second red-flag was they said they were from the processing investigations division, but didn't mention the company or firm they worked for. They said I put her down as a reference, which I certainly did not.

When I called them back to tell them to stop calling me, they made threats of criminal action (another violation of the law). He wouldn't disclose any information about where he worked, his address or any information about his company.

I was burned by one of the private debt collectors in the past so I'm extra careful with them now. The best thing anyone can do is to educate themselves about fair debt collection laws. These people are ruthless and try to scare people by using practices that are not legal.

Debt collectors..but I think its fraudulent. They tried to say my car had been stolen. That car is sitting in a junk yard and has been for over a year.

So, my mom emailed me that she got a call from this number that my car, which I haven't had for a year because it is in a junk yard from the engine blowing up, has been stolen and I need to call them right away. If it is in regards to a title loan I took out approximately 3 years ago, that was paid off a LONG time ago. I am pretty sure I was laughing when I looked up the number and saw the variety of things that they say to people. I dare them to come after me...and they better have good proof because my attorney is an A***OLE.

the person calling left a message for me stating that he has a file on his desk stating that a claim has been filed on fraudulent activity under my ssn and they are filing with the court.  I have a chance to call back and keep it from court. A man named Anthony Allen called my cell phone and left this number saying it was a civil lawsuit, but the number he called from was 678-394-4263.  This man even went to great lengths as to call my mother at her house and when she asked where he got her number he immediately hung up on her.  I will be investigating this man and I will be taking all this information to my lawyer.  This is the 3rd time I have been harassed by these kinds of people.
