Got a call this afternoon from this number.  My caller ID listed the number along with the work Tennessee.  When I answered it was something about lowering my interest rate on charge cards.  When I hit option #1 a representative answered and when I stated ... NO! I don't want help I want you to put me on the ... do not call list ... she hung up immediately.

Got a call from these criminals about an hour ago, didn't answer. We are on the DO NOT CALL LIST, which all the crooks ignore and government never enforces the law for the little people (but endorses breaking for the fat cats, of course). Caller ID said TENNESSEE and we never answer calls with state or city names on the Caller ID.

Msg. on answering machine talked about credit card (debt).

Pre-recorded telemarketer call from "Account Services" with "Good news" for me.  We are also on the national and state no-call lists and always ask any live person who ever calls trying to get us to donate/buy to remove us from their list(s).  Yes, this particular company is violating all FCC regulations, as we have no previous history of business transactions with them, and there are specific rules about calling with pre-recorded messages (which seems to have helped A LOT in cutting those back) and calling cell phones (which is illegal for telemarketers -- my call was not to a cell phone, but I'm going by the previous complainers on this site).  These callers don't seem to care.  The fact that they are calling cell phones suggests that they REALLY don't care, as that is a big no-no with the FCC.  I wonder if they are based outside the U.S., as most legitimate U.S. telemarketers at least pretend to follow the FCC regulations.

Note that the area code (713) does not correspond to the caller ID (Tenessee).  I think I'll block all states that show up as the caller ID, as that seems to be a big trend for telemarketers these days.

Missed a call from this number today on a cell phone that is on the do not call list, and it is not the first time.

I"m on the no call list and have been for a while.  This company has been calling my cell phone and it's ticking me off!  I have no relationship with them nor do I desire one.

I missed a call from this number today and after reading this message board.  I was doing some online research, does anyone know the laws about prerecorded calls, it seems that they are only legal if you have a standing relationship with the company or have granted permission for the individual company to use prerecorded messages.  It appears that if they do use prerecorded messages and have not met the above rules they can be fined $16,000/call.  If we all turn them in maybe we can get the country out of debt, lol.

I wasn't sure if my phone number was on the national do not call list so I just added it again.  But it looks like you have a three month window before you can expect the protection from being on the do not call list.  

I can promise this, if they call again they will get an earful. :)

Answered it. No one was there. Heard a couple of beeps then I hung up.
