Got a call from this number, answered it and it immediately started ringing (I assume the telemarketer to alert them I picked up,) I then hung up before anyone had a chance to answer the other line

I got a call from this number and there was also talking in the background. I said hello three times before someone answered. When they did they asked it this was ***** company which is a company that I just registered. I said no and hung up. It is definitely some sort of phone sales scam.

Called selling a scam.

I just got a call from them where the guy appeared to be in the middle of a conversation.  After I said hello, he asked "is this Michael?"  When I said yes, he promptly hung up.  

Now, what kind of scam can they be running?

Hung up after answering. Line was busy when I tried to call back.

The guy on the phone seemed to be in the middle of a conversation.  He said something like this " ... and if they are still dumb enough to be on the phone after that, I put it to them".  Then he hung up abruptly.

Got a hang up call from this number.
