This number calls me daily.  I do not answer it and they leave no message.

I receive a call from this number a few times a month.  They never leave a message and when I have been there to answer it just disconnects.

They call weekdays. I have requested removal from their list a half dozen times.  I no longer answer.  

DR is correct. The list originates from the state when we apply to collect sales tax. I receive dozens of calls a day from various telemarketers asking for "owner, my legal name." I do not use the name anywhere except legal documents and have only used it that once in the last year when I took my county registered service-based business to a retail business. I also receive junk mail to that name/business now.

Having the state of TX sell my information is even more maddening than these calls.

it must be something with a texas public database.. im a business owner and they call me too... maybe its inmates looking up the numbers and asking for cash.. This certainly could not be a professional thing.. I believe if there is enough complaints to the texas attorney general they will prohibit whomever is doing this to stop

I just started getting this call and other unsolicited calls on my cell phone that I use for business.  The correlation is that I just finished my tax registration with the state of Texas and now I'm getting all these calls.  We must bond together and report these guys to the Do Not Call authorities.  This is ridiculous.

These bstrds have stared calling my cell phone. Probably inmates from a correctional facility. I'll be sure to send them a check.

They call everyday aleast 2-3times a day, I answered it once the guy asked for donation he said "this will help his boys in the PD when they die in a line of duty they money will help there family."

Thank you all of you for your posts -- I have been wondering what this callerid was, since I see it frequently but have never answered until today.  

They call looking for people by the name "Oh".  And whan I said that not the name, they start in with "calling on the behalf" of something like the "Policeman's Union" -- I don't recall exactly.  When I said I don't give over the phone, they hung up.  I never let anyone get very far with their spiel.

I talked to these people the first time they called. They wanted me to donate money in excess of $100 and wanted my routing number off my business check. I told him I had tried to be nice but that I would not give him that information. They have called me daily since then. I just don't answer the phone. I was hoping they would give up.

I went to the attorney generals homepage and filled out the form on this.  I asked the attorney general to check on this problem.  Maybe others will want to do the same.
Please ask your legislature to prohibit telemarketing.  I am paying for this phone and I am busy.  They are wasting my precious time and I will not be be giving money or buying ANYTHING from a telemarketer.  Most telemarketers are a burden on society.
The telemarketer asked for a specific person.  So the attorney general needs to find out the source of this group's call list.  The call list is being misused.
I believe their phone line should be cut because this company is acting illegally by failing to "cease and desist" when requested!

We get a call from this number at least once a day and lately when they call they hang up without saying anything. I told them one time to quit calling this number and he started cursing, and I told him I was going to call the police

called in looking to speak with the owner or the business manager - I asked him you don't know who you are calling for? He said the owner or business manager... really???  told him sorry & hung up.

I keep getting a call from them on my cell phone which I use for our business.  I do not answer the phone when I see this number and they do not leave a message.

I just received a phone call from this number asking for the owner.  I said she wasn't here.  They said they'd call back.  We're on the DO NOT CALL list, and they're still calling.

I got about a dozen calls from these guys. They claim to be raising money for the Texas Department of Public Safety. During the second-to-last call, when I said I had asked to be removed from the list numerous times, the caller said "well, have you helped us out yet?"   I said "I can't believe you just said that to me!" and he hung up.

I just got a call from them a few minutes ago. I didn't even say "hello" when I picked up the phone. I said "whoever you are, you better hand the phone to your boss right f*cking now, because I will NOT take another call from you."   I was transferred to a man identifying himself as Todd Broussard.  I explained that his calls were harassment, that what the previous caller said to me was illegal, and that I will call the police if I get another call from their number, at any time.   He was apologetic and said he'd take care of it.  We'll see.  If I DO get another call from them, it won't be pretty.

We are on the no call list so I'd sure like to know who this is and how we get it stopped.  Thanks

They call several times a day, almost every day of the week. Even when we are closed, but never leave a message

They call every day sometimes more than once for my boss, it's either before he gets in or after he leaves. I always ask who is calling because he likes me to screen his calls because of this very reason they are calling. They just tell me they will call back, so I ask them who the are calling with and low and behold they just hang up on me, EVERYDAY! If they were a lagitament company they would leave their name, number and reason for calling and not just hang up. I AM SICK OF IT!!!!!! BELIVE ME PEOPLE I HAVE PLENTY OF WORK TO DO, RATHER THAN DEALING WITH THESE JERKS EVERY DAY! YES I AM YELLING AT THIS POINT!!!!!!!

Simply tell the caller to remove your name from their listing, repeat this information twice....and I would suggest calling their number back and repeating the statement that you are contacting the State of Texas, Fraud Unit...I think that will work.

It;s sound like a police department, but I didnt call!

They will tell you that they are exempt from the national and state DO NOT CALL lists however if you call or email them and ask them to remove you from their list and they continue to call they are in violation of the law.

Some guy called me today, asking for money for some Federal Police Officer's charity, supposedly.    I was having an argument with my wife, and since I initially thought he was a telemarketer trying to sell me something, I was sort of rude to him.

He hung up on me.

(And I was worried that I was accidently being rude to a law enforcement individual.)

called my cell phone. when i picked up it rang several times, then someone picked up. did not say anything so i hung up.

The caller from this number hung up when I answered.

713-655-1771 have repeatedly called once to three times per day, 4 to 5 days per week for over one year! They are not only annoying but harrasing.

They claim to be HPD for donations - I always tell them to remove my company from their list...the response is always (must be scripted) "This is my first time to call you ma'am".

I wish someone would tell all of us how to get rid of them.

Did your email to their web site actually get them to stop calling? They call us at least once a day and have for months!

We are on the do-not-call list. At one point, while on the list, they caught my husband off guard and he ended up donating $25. This was about a year ago. They have not let us alone since. We've asked repeatedly to be taken off the list, we've hung up on them, we've not answered, and we've picked up the receiver and left the phone off the hook. They call at least once a day, if not more often. How do we get rid of them forever?
