I was called by Bruce Banks at "Woods Law FIrm".  He called over and over, but only left two messages.  He was very threatening and was telling me that he will call my employer and my references and tell them all about this investigation on my ssn.  He told me to call him back at 713-554-9856.  I reported it to the FTC.  After investigating what this was about online, I found out that this company has been calling people everywhere and threatening and harassing them demanding money.  So many people said they had to change their phone numbers.  I suggest if he calls you, that you should report it to the FTC also.  Maybe they will get these ignorant jerks.

I got the same thing. I received a message from a lady that sounded "Indian", but the number she called from was 858-2141 and no area code. However, in my voicemail she gave me this number 713-701-7037. Same story above. Called and I am assuming his name was Neil Johnson with a very heavy accent (also sounded Indian). Saying that he was from this Law Firm (assuming Wood, from what was being said up above) and a compliant has been file against me and that I needed to pay him 447 dollars. I was polite and I was trying to understand what the compliant was about. He claimed that cash advance or something was trying to pull out money that I owed them and I told him that I never did business with this company and it didn't make any sense. He quickly told me my email address and my last four digits of my account # and my bank name . He wanted information and I wasn't going to give it him, unless he  could answer my questions. I really had a hard time understanding everything he was saying and eventually he became upset at me because he claimed that I didn't want to cooperate with him and he hung up on me. Just beware.

The same "Neil Johnson" from "Woods law firm" called me as well.  He called me at work saying something about a fraudulant application placed in my name.  The number he left me to call him was 713-701-7037.  I called the number using *67 and asked who it was and why I was being called.  The person on the other line had a very thick middle eastern accent; he told me to give him my number and that he would take it off his list.  I told him I wasn't given him crap.  Then he spouted off some line of incoherrant jibberish, which I could only assume were curse words and hung up on me.  I thought this was pretty funny, so I spent my lunch break calling "woods law firm" over and over again until they were begging me to stop.

I got a call from the same number with a heavily accented indian man named "Bruce Banks" claiming to be taking legal action against my ss number if i dont call back within the next 24 hrs. Either saying Wolf or Wood law firm,  couldnt really understand.  And he has called me like 20 in the last 2 days and he leaves messages like he is yelling at me to call. Any ideas on wtf its about. .. ooo and also it shows up with no area code on my caller id either but it comes up as 7017037.

It sounded like he is saying he's with Woods Law Firm, but hard to tell with the accent. Several calls with no message left, and only once has anyone actually left a message. It's the same deal as with Samantha's experience, with the 713-701-7037 number being given but on caller ID 858-7037 shows up with no area code. Very odd.
