I have begged them to remove me, I have reported them to all the fed agencies, I have given them to whistle, for years they have bugged me.  like I think it has been almost 12 years.  I get 5 to 10 calls per day, they call on both of my numbers.  I get cussed and everything.  Think they would give up after a decade.  but no they continue.  the government does nothing.  so I have started a petition on the white house web site asking the government to do something.  asking them to do thier job.  we need 150 sigs in order for the pettion to show up on the general web site.  and we need 100,000 for someone to read it and perhaps do something to give us releaf in this matter.  the link to the petition is

http://wh.gov/meVa

please sign it and we can see if they help up  --thaniks doug--

I paid for ATT $4.99 a month to use a feature called "Smart limits" whihc has Parental Controls which let you block specfic incoming numbers. Guess what, it works. Blocks any number. BUT THEN NEW NUMBERS CAME IN! Block one and a day later a new number is calling..from NJ, TX, CN, Hawaii even. All scams and the FCC isn't helping at all!

If you have a Samsung or Motorola cell phone just add the number to your reject list and you will never have to be bothered by them again.........

Just received a call from this number.  Helpful hints:
NEVER answer a call from an unknown number.
If you do answer and they are offering to lower your credit rates, do not say a word and hang up immediately!  If you want your credit rates lowered, YOU must call the company that issued the credit card to you (credit card company, bank, credit union, etc.). By the way, not even the company issuing the credit card ever, ever calls you.

"Wish I knew who gave them my number in the first place!!"  Verizon Wireless did.  I received a letter recently from Verizon Wireless (within the last two months) telling me that their systems had been hacked.  "no personal information was breached, but the culprits downloaded your cell phone number."

The idiots at VZW see no reason to do anything about it.  Wanna start a class action against them?

In the meantime, if you do not recognize the number, don't answer.  Answering validates your phone number in the scammers database.

Good. !  That's what these a holes need a dose of their own medicine to see how they like it when we take up their time and keep them from doing things they need to be doing.

I agree with you but in the future, you might want to use spell check before hitting enter to post a letter of complaint.  I think it will have more impact that way.

Why are you contacting the Do Not Call Registry? This isn't an actual company. Therefore DNC can't do anything about it. They're not law enforcement.

Why would 60 Minutes care? The DNC does exactly what it's supposed to. It stops spam calls from companies. Since this is not an actual company, there's nothing the DNC can do about it.

Amazing, FTC takes all our tax dollars and provides consumers access to a Federal  "do not call list" and utilizes minimal if not zero resources to sanction companies. Better yet, our cellular provider "sells the service" and offers its customers an optional a monthly charge to block "more than five numbers" for more than 90 days.  The fraud rings are on to this. Everybody's making money at the expense of the victims.

This criminal network of oversea theives prays on the unknowing, elderly and young. In the US we regulate law abiding companies out of existence.

Don't depend on the federal government to do anything. Look to the money and complain to the phone company that owns these numbers. If the phone companies start getting hundreds of complaints, they will find a way to do something because it will cost them time and money to answer all our phone calls and respond to all our complaints. Put the burden on the phone companies. They own these numbers. They need to find a way to stop people who don't own those numbers from using them to harass others.

Keep getting calls from 713-705-6926.

I see many have been getting this call and when you call  back it says this is a disconnected number.

We are on the "no call" list.

Best thing to do is either blow a whistle or scream at them like a crazy person - makes you feel good to vent!
