Debt Collector
These are rude obnoxious people. There is no debt, have no idea what it could be related to and keep calling. When call back refuse to give information about who is calling and contact information for the firm. How can one obtain information what company it is, how to file a complaint?

Has there been an effort to have a law firm organize the many people being called by this group to file an action for unwarrented and repeated threats and intimidation?

The very rapid and difficult to understand recording is the Maximum Recovery Solutions and Ellion Law Group, but not sure of spelling; when a request for information about the calling company they hangup with a sarcastic "Have a nice day."

I received a message.  I have NO outstanding debt other than my recent car purchase.  I have an above average credit score.  I have NO delinquent accounts whatsoever.  I recently qualified for a home loan.  This company sounds like crooks.  I have no intension of calling them back.

Received a call at work from this number indicating that I had a "pending charge" in Harris County and that if I didn't call back to address the issue, they would be "forced" to render a judgment on my case.  What a crock of crap!  I agree with Barrowman, NO REPUTABLE LAW FIRM OR COLLECTION AGENCY WOULD GIVE YOU A HEADS-UP!  SCREW'EM!!!

No Zaidy, what you say is not necessarily true. Outfits like this sleaze bag company will call to see if they can get money out of you, even if you do not owe a debt. They are scammers out to make a buck on the unsuspecting and ignorant. Why would you defend an outfit like this? Work for them?

I received a call from this company. I called back and asked the receptionist what company it is. She would not tell me anything but transfer me to someone. Luckily, I did not leave any message. Then checked online only to come to know that this is a fraudulent company. Don't bother calling them back!

Many consumers meet difficulty in paying accrued bills. I am a collector and agree with the posts regarding MRSI. As a former employee, I know that the people that run this company are slimy. Regardless of financial status, nobody deserves to be treated the way collectors at MRSI are trained to treat consumers. There are regulations that prohibit physical and verbal abuse in this matter. From the looks of your comments, you would fit right in with the slimeballs associated with this company. You should apply.

Yesterday I arrived for work at MRSI for my first day. I am an experienced collector and, being a consumer myself,do my best to follow the federal guidelines set forth by the FDCPA.  During my first day of training, I witnessed extreme violations of the federal law and chose not to return today. I listened to a supervisor make fun of a debtor who reported being terminally ill and I listened to another supervisor threaten to come get money from a consumer who refused to set up a payment plan. Tony Diaz is the CEO of this company and during my initial interview he lied about my salary and about his regard for FDCPA regulations. In all, he proved himself to be a manipulative person with no regard for the law.
I am sorry to those consumers that have outstanding accounts that were turned over to this company. It is my suggestion that debtors learn the laws of their state regarding garnishments and statutes of limitations. Do not trust what collectors from this firm tell you, regardless of the threats they make. They have no more power than any average consumer and most of them report being delinquent on their own accounts.

Here is a novel idea. Pay you past due bills as you agreed to do in the first place and no one will ever call you to try and collect anything.

To many times the person actually doing something wrong (YOU) turn crap around and make it look like your the victim.

Example: You get a ticket for speeding and you get mad at the police officer for giving you the ticket. You should be mad at YOURSELF....you broke the law.....you knew what was wrong and still chose to do it.

I've dealt with these jerks: they're sleaze.  Like all lowlife collectors, they're always telling their victims, "we're sending the Sheriff; we're issuing a warrant; we're serving a summons, blah, blah, blah."  REPUTABLE LAW FIRMS AND COLLECTION AGENCIES DO NOT CALL YOU IN ADVANCE to advise you of these things.  You're simply served, assessed, whatever.  The only reason to call first is to induce panic and hysteria in the hope that you won't think clearly and will agree to their BS demands.  IGNORE THEM.

I got a call from 713-779-5600 saying that a judgement was pending cause of unpaid bills from the Home Shopping Network.  But would not provide any details just wanted me to settle. No purchases were ever made through the HSN and there is no charges made to my credit cards.  This smell like fraud to me.
