ditto. just got off the phone with them. Claims I will draw for either 52" tv, $2000 cash, mac laptop, or a trip for 2 to either hawaii or the caribbean. Called my company cell phone which actually showed the call originating from 276-415-6549
don't think i'll be going, i just don't trust it when i can't understand either of the two people i spoke to. poor english and sounded like they were calling from a cell phone in a cave about 200ft below the surface of the earth...

After more digging this is what i found on google maps. Destiny Vacations which had 3 reviews on it. Two of them look almost like canned responses from the same person who likes to overuse "..." the 3rd one is what sealed the deal for me:

I would beware. My experience or let me say my current experience I am having with Desitiny Vacations is embarrassing because I should have had my eyes open. In short I became a member - they got my money - I cannot book a vacation. My wife and I called Destiny Vacations and the cell phone of the Rep about 20 times leaving a messages that we were having troubles with the site. Asking for help because to assist my wife and I because we could only view the information on the web site but the website is not recognizing our access codes as a member, so we have to pay the same membership fee to access. DESTINY VACATIONS" ACTIONS - NOT ONE RETURN PHONE CALL. So then my wife decided to call the on-line customer support (toll number) on the website that we were to be members for vacation packages. The Customer Service Rep spent 30-40 minutes with my wife on the phone trying to locate the account numbers, search by company, search by sales rep, search by business address to verify to help us out in case there was a clitch in entering our data in the system, when to the next level supervisor, etc. There was nothing in there records - our account numbers (nada), our names (zero), Destiny Vacations (ziltch). The Rep recommended that this appears to be reported to the police. I have never heard a Rep say that before. I didn't do that. I wanted to give Destiny's Vacations the benefit of the doubt. I called a few times - no responses. I told American Express - Destiny Vacations sent a copy of the agreement now I will be paying for nothing. I filed a complaint with the Better Buisness Report - the Rep that I have been trying to get ahold of responds that the issues have been resolved - it was a customer missunderstanding and sent that same agreement. I just responded to their response yesterday. If it was as easy as a simple phone call to fix - they why isn't Destiny Vacations returning my wife's or my phone calls. I don't want to admit it, but I was an Idiot for joinning this package. I should have know better. May be my situation is a glitch but if the solution was simple then why wouldn't Destiny Vacations returm my calls. « Hide

Sounds like a timeshare crap meeting my wife and I sat through a few years ago. It was when "Vacation Clubs" started replacing these timeshare festivals. I'm not going to bother going to get my "free" prize. Sitting through 2 hours of the 1 we went through listening to the staged people who are so anxious to sign up, the 6 times we had to say no, it just isn't worth it.

Asked me if I was the head of household to claim the grand prize. I told him i was. Gave me two time perids to claim my prize and come with my wife or female partner to claim prize as there are other prizes that required both partner. told him i have to ask my other parter for best time avaiable. He gave me #713-893-7088 to call back with time for prize claim.  As soon as i hung up, I google and found this site for comments.  I will not be returning a call.

We also got a call from an Indian/Pakistani that I had won a 52 HDTV LG or a Caribbean cruise. I said I'll take the TV.  This call was from the National Souvenir Center which I cannot find on the internet except one that originates in Korea for souvenirs.  After a few questions it appeared that I would have to listen to a travel spiel. When I looked up the address I was given on the internet while still talking I found the address was for Destiny Vacations.  The caller assured that I would see the prizes on the left when I got there and gave me two important clam #'s which I was never asked for.  When we arrived there were about 12 couples in a room at small round tables with an assigned sales person. "Guido" (complete with pin stripe shirt, cuff links and double breasted suit) was our rep. A speaker spoke to us all for 35 mins trying to sell a membership to ResortOne which has a website but no contact info. Then "Guido" came back.  For $8995 we buy travel wholesale for the rest of our lives and  then will it to our children.  Many other perks were also available if we committed that day.  Each time we said no the price went down and perks cut off.  I asked about the chicken dinner I had been promised.   There was no chicken dinner. I didn't even smell chicken but I do smell a RAT.  "Guido" didn't know of any T.V.'s  When I informed him I would not buy without checking things out, He asked what I would need I told him a lap top he said I could use his so I said o.k.  We were ushered out of the room into a small room where a Mr. Paul (aka Ronald or Ronald Paul) Parry the manager talked to us.  I informed him that according to BBB Destiny Vacations was rated F.  He proceeded to inform me that the BBB was begun in Chicago by the Mafia and if he wanted an A rating all he would have to do is join their club and pay them money.  Again the price dropped.  We were given a scratch off game and won  - A Cruise- Small print shows that we have to pay all the port fees, some processing fees, registration fees, etc. for an inside lower deck cabin which can then be upgraded for a fee.  Availability isn't guaranteed.  Two hours after arriving home I was called by the original caller wondering how it went.  He was checking from just a few streets away at their other office.  (He couldn't give me a valid Houston address.  I said nothing he had promised happened -  no tv, no dinner yadayadayada.  He couldn't believe it and wanted the voucher number from the cruise brochure to report it to his manager.  I wouldn't give it to him.  I figured they needed it to get paid for getting people there or use the number to book a cruise and then resell it.  Two days later I got yet another call from what sounded like the same guy using a different name.  In fact that day I had about 5 phone calls each trying to get that voucher number. I kept asking questions and writing down the phone numbers before I picked up which I back traced to CA and VA.  Now he says the call center is Called the National Gifting Center.  Which is shown on the internet as a ripoff. We were also supposed to show a picture ID and credit card.  Why a credit card, to make sure you are a citizen he said.  I said I'll bring my passport, credit cards don't show that.  They did ask for ID and a credit card. (I think to make sure people could charge things on a credit card and/or to get their credit card info.  I've called the FBI they sent me to the FTC and to consumer protection in Texas and BBB.  I am following up on all those.
