I have been paying these people for 3 months!  They wanted me to settle, I was unsure if I ever had a payday loan from 5 years ago, so I tried to do the honest thing and set up a payment plan.  After further research, I began to feel uncomfortable about the arrangements.  I asked for email confirmation, and never received any.  Paul Christopher representing Alexander and Stefano did his best to make me feel guilty and then proceeded to say that "his client" was longer willing to work with me, and that they would be pursuing a garnishment of wages.  
Now, I'm even more confused.... is this a legitimate business, should I pay, is this a scam?!?!?!?!?!

They call and they sound so scared  but they are so full of S***. They call from Texas but related to New York or New Jersey. Bogus!

This number keeps calling me looking for a person I don't know on my cell number which I have had for over two years. I told them repeatedly to remove my number from there call list. It is a message saying some law firm's name threatening to take me to court. Who ever Dorothea is IDK.

Credit Collection Agency, Looking for Jeff Ramos, last chance for him to settle his debt before legal action will be taken without your knowledge.  I don't know any Jeff Ramos.  Called them back on 866-815-8647 and told them off.  They said they would take my number off the list.  We'll see.  I usually never answer these calls, but it just made me boiling mad that they keep calling.

This is a sneaky collection company or someone who hacked a database of people who applied for a payday loan in the past.  The loan can be over 3 to 5 yrs ago.  Even if I did get a payday loan  5 years ago, I'm pretty sure the company has written that off as bad debt. So why are they trying to get the money????
They will pretend that are calling from a lawyer office and today is the last day they are going to contact you before they take you to court.  Pretty clever but illegal.   All of this to get people to pay money that will probably go in their pocket.  I suggest registering with: www.donotcall.gov

This people are trying to scam my husband.  They are calling from a "mediation" firm called Alexander & Stefano and are threatening him about a 1099c for an alleged debt from a payday loan.  They originally claimed to be from New York, but I've received phone calls from cell phones (after doing a reverse lookup) and now they have this number from Houston, TX which is 713-929-3502.  Other numbers that they have called from are 716-735-1112 and 205-210-4143.  The person I spoke with is named "Paul Christopher." They also call me about another person who I've never heard of, in addition to calling about my husband.  After reading this, http://www.fbi.gov/news/pressrel/press-releases/paydayloanscam_120710, I do not believe a word they say and save their numbers in my phone to make sure I don't answer.  They are getting clever by adding a Houston number.

I been getting these calls also. reguarding a 1099c for one of my grown sons. I decided to call back. mr ciesielski(spelling may not be right) is trying to collect a debt from one of those online payday loans his  ex-girlfriend took out a few years ago. he wants to settle for alot less.

I received a call from this number at 5:30pm April 17th. I am from southern texas. I didn't answer and they didn't leave any voicemail. I rarely give this number out to anyone but family and friends.
