Just got a call from this number on my work cell phone. I answered and after a few seconds heard a click and the call ended. I won't be answering next time now that I've checked this site.

Answered the phone with the name of our home-based business. It sounded like a real person on the other end saying "Hello" but as soon as I said the business name they hung up. This may have been a legit wrong number, but I suspect it was a scammer.

My husband got this message today on his work nextel phone.

"SUNCOAST SCHOOLS F.C.U - Message. Your Card is Locked. Call 713-955-0139 to unlock it."

He called me and asked if I knew anything about it. So I called our Suncoast local branch because this would not be the first time someone has tried to get our account information stolen from us. Suncoast confirmed that this was a scam and to not answer calls from this number, to not reply to the text and they were checking into it. They also told me that our account was fine and that several customers had started to calling in about it.

Beware people - These jack***es are trying to scam you !!!

The message I received today at 2:53pm EST was:

"SUNCOAST SCHOOLS F.C.U - Message. Your Card is Locked. Call 713-955-0139 to unlock it."

I'm assuming from the above comments that this is a scam.  Obviously I did not reply but thought i'd share my message in case anyone gets something similar.

I received a text message stating:

(9179913671) H&R-Block LYSF alert 441476.Please call 7139550139

I have never worked with H&R Block with anything. Based on the number of different messages that have been received, I'm quite sure this is phishing.

My wife got the h& right block spam. My guess is the 'from' number is spoofed, so harassing the owner of the number won't get people far. Calling your cell carrier might be able to trace it.

I got this as a text: Anonymous: [Unferified- .....

First thing I did was call Verizon's Global Technical support number.  And, the customer service rep conferenced me in and we called the phone number and heard the phishing scam delivery.  So, he is now trying to find out where they send stuff to to make sure this stuff doesn't impact customers.  But, really the best thing to do is to call the police, and since this is faud, it's the FBI's responsibility.

#1 - call your phone provider and work with your spam filter option (for Verizon it's $4.99 for finite spam control.)
#2 - call the police dept.  I'm in Texas and not familiar with the local laws,.  But, I plan on calling to ask who I should call and complain about this kind of crap.  Because, this is a growing market that I want to help nip in the bud.

Got a text message from 713-955-0139.  "EPPICard Florida-Message .EPPICard is Locked.  Call 713-955-0139 to unlock it."   When I called the number back, it prompts you to type in your 16 digit card number.  I have several cards. The text message did not identify the sender. This is a scam!!!  Do not type in any 16 digit number for anything.

Got one of these text messages on CELL phone this morning.  As we don't have a massive texting plan set up... this little piece of garbage will cost us an extra 25 cents or so.  Of course, that is on top of the chest pain experienced when seeing something urgent pop up from (supposedly) our current bank.

<<<RAGE>>>

I took the time to call Bank of America directly... at their REAL NUMBER.  The rep confirmed that this is, indeed, a phishing scam... or social engineering scam... or whatever buzzword you want to associate with ILLEGAL ACTIVITY meant to ultimately rob a decent citizen of his hard-to-come-by dollars!!!

B of A advises "Do NOT respond to the text.  Do NOT click the link on your SmartPhone.  Do not give ANY information about yourself or your accounts by phone."  B of A has received numerous complaints about this bogus outfit -- with several different phone numbers.  Any message that you receive by email or text message or phone call, that begins to ask for personal/confidential information, should be very carefully considered.  Activate your common sense.  Think!  Examine the validity of the request.  Sniff out these criminals before you divulge ANYTHING.  Hang up on them if you must, but it's best not to even respond to them in the first place.

If ever in doubt, call your financial institution DIRECTLY at a known "good" number.  I am so glad that I did this today.  Whew!

Let's all be a good steward of our own assets.  We worked hard for them.  And... be a good citizen, and share your warnings with the rest of us.  I appreciate ALL of you who have taken the time to report on this bogus, scummy, scammy ripoff scheme.  THANK YOU -- to ALL of our good citizens!

Wishing everyone all the best in 2012!!!

I just received a text message on my cell phone that said; Bank of America QPDX alert 518424, please call (713)855-0139.  I called the number since I had an account with Bank of America many years ago, just to be on the safe side.  There was a recording that said "welcome to Bank of Atlantic", your debit card has been locked.  Press 1 to unlock it, 2 to hang up.  Well....since the text said it was from Bank of America and the phone recording said Bank of Atlantic, I knew something was up.  So, I selected 2 to hang up and immediately googled the phone number and found this site.

What crap, these scammers must think they are dealing with a bunch of idiots.  They're WRONG!!!

Both my wife and I received text messages similar to those posted from Bank of America... we both received different letters in the message alert code. I think we both got messages because we both have access to one account with 2 differently numbered debit cards. My wife has already had to replace her debit card within the last 6 months because we reported a fraudulent transaction in New York and we have NEVER been there before. Funny that the phone number is from Brooklyn...

My wife called BoA about this matter and they said we did the right thing by not responding, and that they won't send a text alert about your account unless you set up a banking app on your phone to alert you when certain account criteria are met (low balance, etc.).

I get a text to call this number 713-955-0139, as my Bank of America  - Gold Debit Card has been locked and once called they will unlock it. Once called Voice message says to key in credit card number. Such a bunch scammers trying to steal.

After getting the first text, which I ignored they continued to text until they were told not to text anymore. After googling the number they are using everey trick in the book to steal from unsuspecting people.

These are rip-off artists, trying to rippoff, con, etc.
