I agree with you on the nature of the harassing calls, but if you for a moment think these calls are coming from a State Trooper, or any agency sanctioned or hired by them, you better think again.
This is NOT the DPS, State Troopers, or anyone directly (or indirectly) associated with them. This scam has been in the news off and on for several years.  NO money of ANY kind goes to Texas Troopers or their families.

Texas State Troopers professional "fundraisers" alienating people against the DPS by tele-harassing the public again.

The group that does this reportedly keeps most of the money they collect. Seems like it should be against the law, but the Troopers allow it because they get free money. I should think the harm done to their public relations would make their cooperation with this effort not worth it overall, but I guess they don't care.

Just imagine if perfect strangers kept coming to our doors and ringing the doorbell over and over and over again to solicit donations to a dubious "charity". Well, that's exactly how obnoxious these people are.The DPS should arrest themselves.

Still getting calls from 713-955-5514.  I have told them many times before to stop calling me.  They are soliciting Texas State Troopers wanting money.  I have told them in the past, they are scamming which is why they block their caller ID and if trying to call the number back, you get a message that the number is no longer in service.  Big Scam.

Got a call this morning.

This leach called me wanting money for the Texas State Troopers Assoc.  When I told him to take me off
his call list he just kept talking. These people are members of unions of some kind or another, let them
mooch off them. Don't breed what you can't feed, it reduces unwanted telephone solicitors.
