I would advise people this is a BLOGGING SITE!  Not to be a consideration for payment.  You signed a LEGAL DOCUMENT that is enforcible in the courts in your county!!!  READ THE CONTRACT!  If your looking for a valid excuse not to repay there will be CONSEQUENCES as Clearly Stated in Your contract!  The Judge must enforce same by his oath of elected office...Period.  They do not give away free money!!!  You are paying outragious fees , finance charges, Attorney fees, Court costs, Filing Charges, and Court imposed Fines and State surcharges!  Why would you place yourself in a position where you would be Garnished for 10 times the amount owed?  If You Want reliable advise...listening to these loosers on here will make you situation 10 times worse!  People on here often complain because they were found and caught and had NO INTENTION TO REPAY!
Noteworthy too are those of you that take out payday loans and Close your Bank Account so the lender cannot get there money back plus their Fee for services.  THAT IS A CRIME!  Its Wrong to do!  You will be caught and prosecusted to the full extent of the law!  It does not matter if the bank closed your account either due to Insufficient Funds because you thought you were slick changing your direct deposit!

Obviously CMCE has its own Department of Precrime. Its Precogs specialize in predicting cases of check fraud. They are kept suspended in the ninety gallons of bong water required by collection agents and support staff throughout the workday. For some reason they keep generating Minority Reports depicting all its executives and employees being hauled away from the building in handcuffs, just before the office door is locked shut behind them.

Served one day and had to appear in court the next?   But you got the call TODAY?   Wouldn't that mean the courier shows up tomorrow and you go to court the day after tomorrow?  But you already lost and had to pay fines and attorney's fees?  Einstein was right, time is relative..., especially when you're doing crack.

Really?  I can't quite follow your post, could you please exactly specify what you were served a bench warrant for?  Who served it on you, the courier?  Which exact court hearing did you miss and what state are you from?

Really?  Let's pretend I wanted to believe you.  What was the actual amount of the debt if it cost you $6,000 in fees? What is the actual name of the company that sued you?  What type of court did they summon you to?  Civil, small claims, or criminal?  You say they served you at work, what type of job do you do with your despicable spelling and grammar?

i got the same phone call from this same number today and i toatally thought it was a scam untill i went to work the next day and there was a currier that went to my home then to my work and served me with thispaperwork i was schedualed to appear in my county court a day later and when i went i had to pay for not only my attorney but for there;s aswell i only took out a 500$ loan and i ended up payin 2,789$ in the end.. so my best advice would to be just pay them and get it over with because they will eventually show up and if u miss that court date they will serve a bench warrent and they take it more seriously than u think

My kids are getting calls on their cell phone's stating I need to be home @ 4pm or work between 4-5pm to be waiting for a process server, so I looked up "CMCE & Associates" and if you have ever done a payday loan over the Internet, in person, or have filed bankruptcy before. These people don't even have permission to collect on this debt & it is probably old debt and the "statute of limitations" have run out. I know in Utah it is Open Verbal 4 yrs, Written Contract 6 yrs, Domestic Judgment 8 yrs..  I just filed a complaint with FTC against these people. Maybe if enough people file complaints we will see them in court!!!! I wouldn't speak to these people & if they honestly have a VALID DEBTOR, SUMMONS, or any other LEGAL DOCUMENTS for me/you they would have it delivered by a VALID CONSTABLE OR PROCESS SERVER..

I believe you must work for the scam company and are trying to convince people that this is true. These people just called me claining I wrote bad checks at Suntrust (I have never had a bank account with Suntrust). when I denied the claims the guy on the phone got very rude calling me ignorant and telling me I knew I wrote those checks. This is fruad at its worst and I have actually had a friend that paid the money and got cheated.

Don't forget that there are Statute of Limitations (SOL) in each state on collecting a past due loan, etc.  While they have no legality in collecting, they can most definitely scare you into paying it.  Ask them for a "Debt Validation Letter," by LAW they MUST provide it.  If they say they don't do that, I WOULDN'T GIVE THEM A DIME!!!  If you chose to pay it, don't give them a credit card number, checking account number, NOTHING!  They will drain it!!  Tell them you will send a money order.  If they say they don't accept that, then tell them "too bad, that's the only way I pay."

These people called me also yesterday and once again this morning. Just to give everyone a heads up that thay  are calling from a private number. Also be on the look out for (513) 824-8272 being left on your voice mail asking you to call them back asap. What ever they tell you do not give these people anymore information about you let alone any MONEY.

spoke to the bank i supposedly have a bad check with, made whatever payment arrangements that were needed. BUT, they also told me, there is NO civil lawsuite that they have started against me at ALL. so people, do not listen to these calls, tell them you will contact whoever  you supposedly owe direct and actually do that, tell them of the call as well. these people are frauds big time, the bank noted on my account about the call including the name, phone number, and company name just in case. so make sure you give all that information to whoever you supposedly owe so they will know as well.

Consumers across the country report that they're getting telephone calls from people trying to collect on loans the consumers never received or on loans they did receive but for amounts they do not owe. Others are receiving calls from people seeking to recover on loans consumers received but where the creditors never authorized the callers to collect for them. So what's the story?

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:
Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.

Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.

Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.

Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.

Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.>

My Mom recieved a phone call from this # 713-690-4482 telling her that authorities were going to be coming to my home in my "county" to give me a summons for a bad check. I really hate to tell these people, but i don't have a checking account and haven't had one in many years. they left a message on her answering machine with a phone number. but the funny thing was when she played it for me, the guy leaving the message took breaks between leaving the number like he had to look at it and sounded like he was reading from a script while leaving the message. the police do not have some company call you from out of state to tell you they are coming to give you a summons, so blatant scam. these people really need to learn about things before actually trying to do something like this. major DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! on their part.

I got a call from the same girl but with a different number.  It first came to me as an unknown number threatening that they were going to pick me up at my home or place where I work.  The number they left for me to return the call is 713-960-4482 the guy that left me a message was a don or dan miller.  When I called the number it was a Jennifer Goldstein.  Very rude.  They even called my relative and left information with them also.  I called back in the evening and noone answeres the phone and I left a message stating that if they called me again or my family I would call my attorney and that I have taped voicemails from them with this number.  Lets see what happens.

I received the same message as the people above, "This is Jennifer Goldstein, legal advisor. There is a civil claim against this phone number..." Clearly that is rediculous; there cannot be a claim against a number, but a person. I am not in Texas, but California.
