"Your Google customer service..." Really bad thing about this call I keep receiving is that when I hang up, I can not get rid of the call. After waiting a few seconds, when I try to call out, the recording is still going.  My husband is having some real medical issues and I swear, if I needed to call 911 at the time of receiving one of these calls, I would not be able to - why do companies feel it is alright to tie up someone"s line?!  It should be against the law but then its against the law to call someone on the Do Not Call List and a lot of good that does!

They have called once a day for the past week.  We don't pick up and they never leave a message; I assume they'll eventually tire of this game!

I called back punched 1 for remove. They said please allow 72 hrs for removal. We'll see.

oh yeh STUPID call season, these caller come up like weeds in spring.....they were hibernating for the winter season, I feel so blessed I get calls from people I never heard of & don't know from all over the country in one day. I have stopped answering the phone for these people, I don't ever bother to opt me out or not its a joke, they seem to be doing whatever they feel like, so why ever bother I just look at the caller id to make sure it is not a REAL phone call, I just let them ring till they hand up........they call in a few days usually any way so why bother arguing with them? they get the message however new ones always come up like weeds............

No, i am not saying they are making the calls. I am saying their software is providing the means for the scammers to make 1000s of untraceable spam calls... Big difference...

They need to restrict the software from dialing any number on the DNC list, or be restricted from doing business altogether..

As far as spam goes, i am only trying to point out that this site is adverting a company that is facilitating the means of the problem that this site is trying to prevent... I am saying, remove the ad.. Replace it something that helps society in a positive way...

8x8 (dot ) com is a site selling voip/cloud based phone systems. They're not making any calls. So are you warning everyone? Or posting SPAM disguised as a warning?

The source of all these robocalls is facilitated by computer software that is being advertised on this site.. here is a copy of their ad..

This software can make 1000s of scam calls at little or no cost to the scammer and assign any fake caller ID number they want you to report on this site... So please remember when you get all hot under the collar and bang your phones on the tables like chimpanzees, who are you hurting but yourselves... What you need to do is get laws passed to prevent companies like 8x8 from using numbers on the do not call list...

I told the scammer I would tell them whatever they wanted to know if they would answer one question. The scammer agreed and I asked how do you spell your occupation of "scammer" with one or two "m's"?  The genius responded "that's a trick question, isn't it? With one "m" of course!" I told the scammer they were correct and I  promised to call them back at least two times a day. Actually they'll be contacted by an automated system frequently.

Caller ID showes "Huntington Beach", but the caller did not leave a message. This is the second time this has happened in two days.

They called me twice within a couple of minutes yesterday, must have been desperate to steal some money.  I really find it hard to believe that business owners actually fall for this garbage.  I would be willing to bet that if you simply asked them for the company name and then "Googled It" it probable would be one one of the back pages.  Then they lie to you by saying they are Google, when they are not even affiliated with them.  This country is in a sad state of affairs when honest, law abiding citizens have to put up with these dregs of society and there is nothing that can be done about it.  Call blockers only work in most cases when you have a residence line since many businesses cannot arbitrarily block numbers or else they will lose business.  Call blockers do not work on cell phones, and unless you have a smart phone there is no other choice but to simply assign the number to a no ring category  Most of the calls are from overseas countries that could care less what these people steal from us.  The ones that are in this country get a slap on the wrist, have to maybe pay a few dollars in fines and told not to do it again which they of course ignore.The problem is that even if we gave them jail time, where would we put all of them?  We would also again be supporting them for as long as they are in jail since it is costly to run a prison.  Ah for the good ole days when we could just take them out back to a tree and string em up.

I have been getting these calls from these people for years.. did the message say google and bing? They are competitors.

so i looked up google's real phone number and called them directly. Google said they had nothing to do with the calls and would never include bing in any offer Google has...

These scammers are getting your number from your website or domain whois listing...

The FTC needs to file a lawsuit against google for these violations, They have been calling us non-stop for 3 or 4 years now. We block their #, they just call from a new # a week later.

It's unlikely the spammer/scammer is reading this page.  Nobody in the forum  can actually stop those calls. You have to protect yourself.  Call blocker might be in order.

Large operation with caller id spoofing. The numbers rotate around some but they do come back to the same ones. Nothing anyone can do but take your frustrations out any way you feel comfortable. I guarantee we will be reading about them in the papers someday getting busted by some federal agency IF they even reside within the US.
