Collections, "Ray Lean" (not his real name) is breaking numerous laws by threatening to issue warrants if ya dont pay. Discuses information with people who arrent associated with debt. Has claimed to be the Sherrifs Office. Asks you to pay by Credit or debit card, wont give his addy. (Santa Ana Ca.)Its but a matter of time before this fella gets a taste of the legal system.

these people from 714-263-8626 keep calling my work and wanting to serve me court papers but never shows up!!! This is HARRASSMENT if you ask me.. Especially at my place of employment, this has to stop!!! They never leave a name only a case number and the phone number.

Same guy, Robert Hall, same number, 714-263-8626--calls my cell phone, asks for my wife by her last name before we were married--been married 12 years. Same schtick--"tried to deliver court papers"...bull crap.

said his name was Henry Camton, calling regarding an upcoming court date and the fact that they needed to deliver summons.  Also said that the phone message (on my machine and I have saved it) is proof of contact and I needed to call right away.

got a call from my mother saying they had contacted a relative of mine whom i have not seen or heard from in 20 years. they said they were contacted by this number regarding a pending legal issue. how in the hell did they even know we were related? very scary and yes its a scam!!!

Called and left msg with the name of Robert Hall.  Said several attempts had been made to serve a summons to appear in court.  Don't know who this guy is but gave number to call back with a case number...and as far as I know..no attempts have been made to serve anything...think this is a scam.

Caller identified his name as John Bowman and called to inform me of a legal action taken against me and gave a case number CRT 17820. I was also informed to call 714-263-8626.

He used the name Pete Mitchell. Said he was a contractor (did not say company name) to deliver a notice to appear in court. Gave a cause number & said call that courtesy line, give them cause number & daytime address & they will deliver your "paperwork". I do have this message recorded. But I didn't call back since he ended his message saying "good luck". I googled first & see he is likely a fraud. I have sustained no damages but am willing to assist any police dept wanting to go after him.

Got a call from "Thrower Devan" (clever name), claiming my wife was being sued by a bank she used to use and that he was just confirming the address to send out the summons to appear.  However, when she said she didn't know about it he gave her an offer to pay it off without going to court, which would avoid the extra attorney fees.  The catch is we had the afternoon to decide whether to go to court or not.  I spoke to "Thrower" and he could not provide any details as to the nature of the supposed monies owed.  I told him we would see him in court.  I also did a search of the phone number, the name on the account was Habor Newport and the office he called from is located at 17310 Red Hill Ave
Irvine 92714 which is about two miles from Newport Harbor.  Sounds like a true scam.

One of the names he uses is Ray Lean (obviousely not his real name) out of Santa Ana Ca. This fella's BREAKING THE LAW on many counts. Its but a matter of time before the legal system gives him a healthy taste of reality.
Please help by giving any info here.
  Take notes of his conversation.
  Record it if you can.
