Caller ID says Brea, Ca. I answer and there is silence and then a click. I call the # back & a recording says this party is not available at this time (or something like that).

Debt collector that leaves a message that a merchant has filed a claim against you for fraud using a credit card. ..which I have not used in 4 years....my guess it is a scam or my ild debts got bought again.

I answered without checking the phone screen for an ID and heard dead air. As I hung up I heard a transfer click, so I was probably being passed off to a yak. My call recorder showed the idea only as BREA CA. Number now blocked.

Called and left no message.  Called back and number probably spoofed.

I just got a call from this phone number.
