be careful, it's not wachovia, it's a spam. They want to take your money. if you receive a text message from this number, call to wachovia (telephone number on the back of your card).

I received the same message on the 12th.  What was the outcome of your trip to the bank?

i just got the text and i knew it was a scam...but whats scary is that i get these texts about once a month i do have a wachovia..that start with 4828..and i have sprint..i did make an online transaction last night...feel like i have to check my balance everyday...sucks!

I got two text this morning.  I called sprint to find out how to block the messages.  you can forward the text to abuse@messaging.sprintpcs.com to report it as spam

States my Wachovia Card has been limited. Call 1-714-362-0370. I always call these numbers and give all kinds of made up account numbers. Makes them work for nothing in the end.

Got text msg late in afternoon.  Message read:  YourWachoviaCardHasBeenDeactivated.  PleaseCall: 1(714)362-0370 and everything was slammed together as I have indicated here.  We did not return the call and also noted in the text Subject line (SPAM).  So, that alerted us and we knew we had not given any bank the phone number this message came to nor the person's email address.  Headed to bank in a few with the text message and a copy of these postings.

my son received a text msg to call this number, because Wachovia had suspended my debit card.  when I did they claimed they needed my acct # to reactivate it.  Scary because some elderly people may give out this information.  It even says its a Wachovia Corp Center...sounds really legit.

I made the mistake of calling and now I have had to cancel my debit card. I was at work and didn't have the resources to check if it was real or not.  Oops! Learned my lesson!

Also got a text from frdjxi@messaging.sprintpcs.com stating the same thing.....They want you to enter in your account number but can never speak to a representative. DO NOT KEY IN ANY OF YOUR ACCOUNT INFORMATION

Received at 8:00 P.M. on one of my Sprint phones

I got a text today from ryeciz@messaging.ntelos saying that Wachovia has limited my debit card - starting with 4828.  I'm glad I looked here online before trying to call back.  I do actually have a debit card with Wachovia!  Scary.  Thanks to all of you who post here.

I got a text from them this morning as well saying that my wachovia has limited your debit card starting with 4828... I don't even use them. Never have. Other than for my EPI card from Child Support and that is Government issued.
