There is no such thing as a California State Trooper, so I am not giving anything and I suggest ya'll do the same! There is however California Highway Patrol Officers and I also suggest that if you get pulled over by one you don't start the conversation out with, "Hey Trooper!"  ha ha!

Two calls within 15 minutes of one another. First call they hung up the second I answered the phone, second call individual on the other end is talking like he is in the middle of a conversation with someone else- then he hangs up again.

Get 7 or 8 calls a week from this number 7147-364-4400. ID says it is AASTSCA. They never leave a message, I don't answer it.

Just received a phone call from them I picked it up as to not to waky my elderly father. They asked for me, i responded with "who may I say is calling?" in turn the man says "Neil, I'll call back at another time." Have any of you actually tried calling this number back and tell to hit the road and remove your number from their log? If so did work.?

We received two calls from phone number 510-373-3848 on 06/05/2010 at 9:21am and on 06/02/2010 at 07:30pm. The Caller ID showed `AASTSCA`. I would pick up the phone and hear nothing.

Have received a least one call a day for the pst week from this number. They don't leave a message. I don't recognize AASTSCA as anyone that I am doing business with - so I have not been answering these calls.  I am on the Do Not Call list and every charity that does call me, I request to be removed from thier list.

The lasr call was at 8:49 pm on Friday 9/4/09.

6 calls in a week. No messages, have managed to ignore/miss them all.

I am an investigator with the CHP, investiagting these calls. We DO NOT call and solicit money from people, this money does not go to Scott Russell's wife and family. If this person gives a name or any important information, I.E., where to send a check or a mailing address, could you please e-mail me any information you have. Oh yeah, 714 is an Orange County area code (I have family that live there).

Called earlier this afternoon, but I did not answer.  Called again at 8:30PM, my husband answered but there was a long pause so he just hung up.

I just checked my call history (I have Comcast digital voice service).  I have actually had a total of 8 calls from this number.  Never answered or I was not at home and they did not leave voicemail.

Well, only the second call and it came in while I was at work.  No message left for me.

I receive phone calls from this number EVERY DAY (usually 2-3 times per day).  I never answer, as no name is listed.  No message is ever left by the caller.  

I have, in the past, answered the phone in similar situations (but different phone #s).  It has always been someone claiming to be fundraising for the local police/CHP/firefighters, etc.  When I tell them that I can't make a donation, they continue to pester me, saying things like "well can't you at least donate $5?".  I believe it is a scam.

I got today morning. i did not pickup.

Have had numerous calls from this number.  Most calls have been no one on the other end or hang up after I answered, however, last night a woman, more like a girl called me by name, or what she thought was my last name according to the phone listing and just received another call with a younger sounding man, asking if this was Mrs. --------.  So they have the name from the phone book listing.

Additionally, if you get a call from this number, call the CHP and report it at their non-emergency phone number 1-800-TELL-CHP.

Trying to raise funds for the CHP they claim.  I contacted the CHP and they said they will NEVER use phone marketing to raise money and that this is a SCAM.  Also, here's a website showing that scammers claiming to be raising money for the CHP are not uncommon: http://lakeconews.com/content/view/1336/554/

Called early on a Sunday. No one on the other end.

I was getting calls from this number every day for a few weeks.  I picked up, nobody there, hang up.  Then I ignored the calls.  I figured they'd eventually give up.  Nope.  So I blocked the call.  Silence is a wonderful thing.  :)

If you want to block the call too, and you have the service in your phone package, pick up the phone, dial *60, then follow the directions in the recording.

The phone rang twice and I answered but no one was on the other end of the phone.  If this is a fund raising call from State Troopers like Alice said, I don't think I will give them any of my money!

I just got another call but did not answer.  No message was left.  I am fine with the California State Troopers but about a month ago I got a call for a police charity and found 80% of the funds went to fund raising.  Sorry, that is too much for fund raising.  I look for about 15% or less going to fund raising.
