I too have been getting calls from this company.  I have Selective Call Blocking  on my home phone and Call Reject on my cell phone and they STILL get through.  I've had it.  I am so glad I am not the only one.  I have on screen caller ID on my TV and I am keeping a record.of the calls. I called the cable company, because my phone is through them.  They are trying to help me.  But, from what I understand, this company is a sham, trying to scare people into giving them money for false accounts, which they say people owe.  Call the Attorney in your state and fill ou ta complaint.if the calls continue..

Wow I received a call from today at work asking for me using my maiden name i havent used that name in years. He asked for my fax number and mentioned me being garnished. SCAM huh?

These people called saying that i am being sued and that they wanted me to call them back so they could help. I do not owe anyone any money. And now they called my brother telling him the same thing. These people are scammers. They have fake case numbers. Do not give them any info on you.

i got the same  call said I was tracey becker  Im not  then he was asking me who I was   and threating me with the U.S. marshals I told them to bring it on   Today they started the same s***  . I exploded on there answering machine . What joy are these guys getting from this .

they have called me  4 times saying its important  that i call back. i blew them off for a bit  then thinking i have  family out of state  it might be important  . There telling me that IIIIIIIIIIII am Tracey Becker and i have a warrent out on me and there sending the U.S. Marshalls out to my house . there gonna condiscate my Pc and then I said bring it on i have every thing I need to prove my self . Didnt hear any thing for a week .Today I got a message to call them back  SOOO I let my Italian  Native American out on the answering machine  . Dont think they will call me again  If they do  IM gonna turn them in for PHONE HARRASMENT

(714)975-7600 World Wide Reco  called and left a nasty voicemail didnt say who they were looking for or what it was about but "we've been trying to reach you several times and no response" which is BS...my voicemail dates back to nearly beginning of november and this is the first call....and also he said "you better call us by end of today"   so i said hell no....called them back and got a lady on the phone....she was nice enuff and apologized for the rude message someone else sent...she said it was from another dept. or whatever asked for my brother who has never lived here...i've been at this phone # and address for 16yrs, she said she'd remove my # and asked that i have bro contact them...no idea

they called me about an x wife and asked if i could give him any info. I said yes(f off)

i get these calls everyday.they are all from 714 area code but dif. numbers.i just hang up....very annoying.

THESE PEOPLE KEEP CALLING AND SAYING TO CALL THEM IMMEDIATELY THAT IT SI URGENT, BUT I CALLED THE POLICE AND FILED A REPORT.

Called my wife's cell phone, hard to decipher the Dude's name, but very threatening tone.  Either a scam or a scammy debt collector.  eF em!

Similar call to the previous people who have posted to this inquiry.  Received a call a couple of weeks ago from a woman who said they had talked to me recently. That was false.  Then told me they had filed papers with the sheriffs department and I was probably calling to question the court summons.  That wasn't even close!  She said it was about a credit card with a company that I have never had an account with.  She transferred me to some guy who said he was a lawyer.  When he started making threats, I yelled back...He then asked why was I yelling.  I told him I would yell all I wanted.  And I would hang up on him when I was ready, and I did.  Now, I just received a call from the exact number and the same name given in the email posts, "World Wide Reco." At first the person seemed to be trying to help find information.  Then he asked me where I lived.  I did not tell him, but he had the county from my phone number and area code.  He then stated that the papers had been filed with the county and I would be receiving a summons for court, that they were prosecuting me for harboring someone from them.  He rattled of several addresses.  I told him I had never lived at any of those addresses.  That I had lived here over twenty years.  Then he started asking about my kids and where they lived.  Now, I started yelling that it was none of his business. Besides I told him I was not liable for any debts other than my own.  Then I started yelling at him, since that seems to be all they understand!  He told me again about the court summons and that I was being prosecuted for harboring a fugitive from their justice.  Then I hung-up on him as he is trying to intimidate me on the phone.

Asking for my sister in a nursing home (by name), ill.  Said I don't know any one by that name. Is this Wayne Simone's phone.  I said yes, anyone would know that we are listed in the phonebook.  He wanted to know about my sister who has dementia .... I have seen this number on my caller ID four times in the last 3 days, and didn't answer it because thought it was advertising.  I don't want them upsetting my sick sister.  They have also called in the pass and gave up?  What do I do?

he said he was going to sue me for a credit card in 2006 and that i need it to pay otherwise he was takng me to court..its a scam...credit card companies or collection they will negotiate .. he also said my kids were driving him crazy.LOL

I have been receiving calls from them at the 714-380-5873 and also from UNKNOWN (they will block the number sometimes, but it's the same person) They've been calling my mom's house and telling her it's in regards to an "investigation" and i need to call them back before the "summons" goes out. I then called them back. At first, Jonathan was being friendly and was asking what I could offer to pay. When i spoke about a payment plan of $20 a month he said they could issue a "financial hardship". I asked what that consisted of and he said he'd need a lot of personal info. Work info, financial info like our bills and income, several addresses...ect! He said it would take 2 or 3 minutes over the phone. UUUUMMM NO! i don't think so. When I told him I wasn't comfortable giving him all of this personal info over the phone and that I wanted some documentation of their company, he transferred me to THE DEVIL! who stated that he was the CEO of the company and proceeded to harrass, treaten, and talk VERY RUDE to me! I was being so cooperative up to that point and he was having NONE OF IT! He was out for blood! Asked if my husband knew about the debt and didn't I want to save him the embarassment of getting his wages gaenished. After going back and forth for more than 20 minutes and him asking me the same questions over and over, we were getting no where. So i told him to do what he's gotta do and so will I. He called back (UNKNOWN on caller ID) and i knew it was him so i answered with a pleasent voice. He said to take his number down in case i had a change of heart. I politely told him to go *BEEP* himself.

We received a call from this number as well and it appears to be a scam artist.  I will check with the police department to confirm.

I have been receiving many calls and the last one, the guy sounded very angry that I wouldn't call him back because he was just trying to help me.  
Got called again today, a lady calls and asks to please call she gave me an extension.
I called and asked what the heck did they want from me?  
Connected me to someone by the name of J. Stone.
I left a message asking what the heck he wanted from me.

He keeps calling me, asking me for information regarding a person with my same last name. So far all his gotten is vmail, but it sounded weird so i googled him. From the comments below it sounds like a scam artist.

Have also received messages from "Chris Myers" from 714-380-5886.  Identifies us by mispronounced name only vaguely similar to anyone here, says he has repeatedly tried to reach us (he hasn't), and that we must call ASAP.  Caller ID only says "California," and can find no further info, so I may run a call trace if he calls again.

Interesting thing is that this was an automated recording, even though I answered personally and not my answering machine.  

I'm sure it is illegal to call without leaving sufficient ID for someone to serve you with the proper "I'm not who you're looking for so cease calling" legal notice.  I will investigate further with phone co if he calls again.

Beware he is also using the name Chris Toser saying he is from  the Sherriffs Department!  What a jerk!  It's the same thing listed here as well,  he says he will file a lien against my home and garnish my wages...keeps asking for checking account information...It is unreal..

This is the SAME story they gave me!  Makes me angry too!  Can't you send a letter now to get them to stop calling?  It is very disruptive and upsetting at work to get these calls...

These people have been calling me every day asking for the person that used to have this phone number.  When I talked with them today, they tried to trick me into saying that I know this person.  I don't.  The first person hung up on me when I said they were harrassing me, and when I called back, the second person told me he was going to do the same thing - and he hung up on me.

This Chris Myers is a tool, he is calling from the number of 714-380-5886. He is calling my Mother in India looking for my mother in law in America. He's calling 4-5 times a day. Wonder what his phone bill is like. He is rude and using profanity to get information from my mother. My mom keeping telling them that he needs to stop calling but this guy is persistant. I logged a complaint with the State Attorney General's office. I cannot seem to find an address for this person. If anyone have any additonal info. I would love to file suit against this guy.

does anyone know who this is? rec a suspicious call at work from this number today, they are claiming to be calling regarding a bank of america account that had almost $5k charged in my name.... anyone else have this problem?????

i received a very strange call from this number, which says its a cell phone in santa ana, ca, when i do a reverse phone inquiry.  states they are following up a supposed investigation about papers they forwarded me a week ago.  i did not receive any such papers.  call gave me a weird feeling.  they called me on easter (yesterday) too.

he keeps calling my sons cell phone asking for different information.i contacted the police dept and filed a report.there are 5 other cases with this phone # from other people so beware of this guy sounds like identity theft

This guys is calling in regards to members of your family.  He and his boss will threaten you with legal garnishment even if you are not the person on record but now related to the person they are calling for.  I had to finally state that my lawyer would be in contact with them regarding the issue.  Their tatics are very harsh and no likely to benefit anyone.  They will tell you that they will but liens on your property and pay.  These guys are the lowest of lows.  I have no problem paying for "MY Debts" but not someone elses.  And never threaten my pay or contacting my employer. These guys will do that.

These people called my work and tried to get info out of my boss about me.  DEF a scam. Avoid it

July 22, 2010 4:15 P.M.  V.M. from Chris Meyers.  I called back the guy said he was trying to collect a debt from Hsbc Bank and knew my busiiness name and said I owed taxes.  I told him not true and the 3 year old debt for $1000.00 was on my B.K. on August 10,2010.  He was yelling and screaming at me and said he would lein my Bank accounts.  When I laughed at him.  He hung up yelling at me.  One more call, I will file a police report.  Unprofessional Scammers.
