I had a similar problem with this company. I happened to run into some credit issues and my checking account was frozen and of course I was robbed by a creditor.  ( yes I did owe them but I don't make enough money to pay off all my medical debts so they take what they want and how they want to take it). I'm not an irresponsible person.  I have had an account with Fireside for 2 years now.  Never missed or made a late payment EVER!  However, when seen that my checking was froze and my car payment was sent back (bounced)  I was very upset but immediately called Fireside to let them know what happened and arrange payments to pay them back.  They tried to tell me that they would not accept payments.  They need all payment up front.  Well if you are like most single parents we live from paycheck to paycheck and we are lucky if we get to splurge any of it on ourself.  I told them that is how it is going to be and if they didn't like it they will have another car to try and sell since they financed a car to me that depreciated half the value once I drove it off the lot.  Anyway they said they wanted to keep me in my car.  I told them they will have to accept payments until I get the back payment caught up.  Every day for the last two months I have been harrassed.  They called me at work and I quickly called them back and told them that is NOT ok and they better not do it again.  They must have several people working there because every day it's a different person calling.  I have left to pay 50.95 cents on my back payment and today I recieved a call and was told it was to the ut-most-imporatant that I call them back immediately.  It's hard to hear the names when they say them but I believe her name was Jannis.  She was not so rude but it sounded like she was un-aware of the harrasment calls.  I told her of the promises that were made to me and the lies I was told.  I explained that for 2 years I have shown very good responsibility in paying on time and over the amount I am supposed to pay.  That should say something for itself.  I told her that I was lodging a complaint against their company and that obviously many others have experienced the same thing.  What she was worried about for me was that my credit was docked for being 30 days late.. (at this point who the hell cares about that)  She told me that the reason we were receiving the calls was because FireSide is a second chance Finance Co. I said,  "Oh I see so that gives you reason to treat your customers like S**T?  She finally told me that she could stop the calls by a cease and diesis but this would also mean that if I was getting my car repoed they would not call me.   I said, "again you are dishonering by saying that".  "If anything happens you will find out by me first"!
She promised I would not get any more calls from them anymore.   Oh yea she said it's the law that they call everyone.  Sooo.... yes that is true.. however, it is not the law to harass.  Us consumers do have rights and if you can prove that you have been responsible then you have a leg to stand on when you file a lawsuit or lodge a complaint to the BBB or with the Governor's Office of Consumer Affairs or the Office of the Insureance Commissioner.  You tell them that you are filing a complaint against their company to these places and you will reluctantly get someone to listen to you.

First Jim Dough why do you keep defending fireside its like your on their payroll or something....I've never been late for over a year then one day my grandmother was on her last days (death bed) I called fireside if I could deffer one payment so that I can travel and say goodby.They said yes I went through the application process everything look good so I thought..soon as my payment date came, I was bombarded with calls at least 8 a day from fireside after explaining the situation..They said there was no deffer program and the agent lied to me! and now that was my problem and to deal with it...Needless to say I couldnt get help from anybody from fireside I ask about a recorded call they pretty much ignore me nobody even heard about the agent that helped me...They reported it to my credit and evryday for the next 6 months I recieved at least 8 calls untill I finally made a double payment....They talked to my wife and I rudelly and very unproffessional and I also caught them in sevral lies but of course they cover each others a**es!! I suggest for anybody wanting to do anything with this A-HOLE of a Company record every conversation...Really just stay away!!!

Dear Jim Dough, Although financial institutions verify information, Fireside does indeed go through 20 questions exactly as "fireside customer" outlines... They will call you 15x in 1 day with their automated system & they also have 2 numbers they spoof to appear as cell phone numbers from different states. I call them back and tell them I will pay prior to the 30th day to avoid credit reporting issues & they tell me they can not remove the auto dialer... I have logged over a thousand calls now. Dear Firesude Customer: They asked you all of that info due to the Privacy Laws! They needed to prove that you were who you said you were! It's common practice with any financial institution! They're just protecting you and themselves!

I just called them because I needed them to change my address -- they had to verify all of this information like I was going to skip town or something (my employer, etc.) -- even though I have been a customer of theirs for 3 months now, and always mail my payment (due on the 30th), on the 20th.  Luckily, I have always been on time, so they have never called me, but when I called them to give them updated information, I didn't like how they lady acted like some detective hunting down a scumbag or something.

Oh, yes, the calls from this number and about ten other numbers from Fireside bank continually call and harass. Fireside Bank is HORRIBLE to do busines with! They need to teach better customer service skills to their employees and actually listen to their customer's needs. After all, if you want people to keep coming back for business then you need to treat them nicely and not harass them!I don't pay them any faster when they continually call and harass me and are so rude when I'm trying to find out what they need from me. I work nights and have to turn my phone off just so it doesn't ring continually, every 5 min.sometimes, literally. I have told several people at Fireside to call between certain hours if they need to get a hold of me and to put it on my accnt. info. I work as many as 6 12hr night shifts in a row and they always leave messages for me to call them by a certain time. Hello...their 2pm is my 2 am, I don't answer the phone or care to chat with jerks in the middle of my night,Especially when I'm bustin my a** to pay them!

It is fireside banks automated service and it cant leave a message . They are just giving you a courtesy call . If you were extremely late or if there were a problem they would call you personaly  .

This number called me , and if it is truly fireside bank then Im annoyed as well . Ive never missed a payment to them nor have I been late . And they call me the day after my payment is due , which I paid on time . They leave no message . and when you call them back they dont Identify themselves and their mail box is full .

What's even worse is that the reason why they're calling MY house is 'cause my mom has a loan out for them either on her camper or jeep, she pays it off in June, and she just got done calling them yesterday and telling them she gets paid Friday and that's when they'll have their money. She's now only **three days** late. The greedy bastards.
