Man called what was formerly our home phone number (now our cell number) and asked for my husband. I told him (honestly) that he wasn't at home and asked him who was calling. The man said "he's not available?" and I answered yet again that he was not a home and asked who was calling. He said "That's alright, we'll call back". I don't know if he heard me or not but I informed him that I would put his number on automatic reject unless he told me who he was. He hung up and I set up the auto reject on my cell phone.
I LOVE having a cell that can block these idiots from calling.
You can report them to your states Attorney General if you are on your state's do not call list and I've done so for other repeat offenders, but I've found that when I have reported the same number multiple times I get no response from the Atty Gen.
What ever happened to "If they call you three times in a year they will get a fine and $500 will be paid to you?

This is a scam don't do it. They tell you they are going to send study materials and nothing is going to be charged. IT IS A SCAM!!!
Bill 2011-08-04 14:40:08 Unknown
I have already filed my complaint against them with the CA BBB and the Attorney General of NC. MY next complaint will be to the FTC then the FCC. If this company wasn't a fraud or scam they would return phone calls and respond to emails. They started charging my credit card for "recurring order" that I was never aware of nor authorized. If that's not a scam and fraud I don't know what is. 25 complaints with the CA BBB in the last 12 months (not including mine), and only about half resolved satisfactorily.

R U SERIOUS ? 2011-06-06 20:55:20 Unknown
It's a company that sells software to improve college bound students' testing results. Real creepy(lol!).
Gene 2011-06-06 20:55:20 Unknown
What exactly were they supposed to do when you told them that you weren't home ? Leave a message ? You lied to them.
Albert 2011-06-06 20:55:20 Unknown
The school providing info to a company that specializes in improving test results for college minded students ? String'em up ! (lol!) I suppose we should all keep our heads in the sand and pretend our global ranking in education is still in the top ten. Make no mistake mom and dad, We're competing with theworld now for jobs. Just ask the '88-'98 graduates who were told they would have a life long , secure, prosperous career in the computer field. Save your skepticism for our politicians.
Doc 2011-06-06 20:55:20 Unknown
It's not illegal if your child expresses an interest in improving his/her test scores. I mean, really. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF FOR SLANDERING A COMPANY THAT IS PART OF THE SOLUTION FOR OUR EDUCATION CRISIS. Now go back to your newspaper or your fling on the side and pretend everything is on the right track (lol!).
Doc 2011-06-06 20:55:20 Unknown
Shame on you for slandering a company that sells a product that helps students get into better schools. With everything going on in our country with educatin and our current ranking worldwide. I hope your child likes working at Walmart ! Genius.
Wow ! 2011-06-06 20:55:20 Unknown
It must be one of those "get your child into a better college/university by improving their test scoring " scams. Maybe it's one of those gosh darn " boost your childs confidence even more and improve the quality of their piergroup tricks. I mean, really.

Several calls and finally answered. I couldn't understand the man only heard my daughter's name and I said excuse me? and he hung up.
Michelle 2011-06-06 20:55:20 Unknown
They certainly are annoying and creepy and they do not stop. I called back from a different number and left a message stating not to call us again. My daughter is a freshman and has not registered for any PSAT's or anything so I am trying to figure out from where they bought a mailing list with her information. Hopefully not our school!

We received a phone call from this number tonight. It was a man asking for the parents of our daughter's neighborhood friend!?! How did he get our phone number, linked to our daughter's friend? Both of the girls are in middle school (6th & 7th grade). My husband asked the caller why he was asking for our neighbor's parents at our phone number, and the caller hung up on him. Disturbing and annoying...

It's a scam company in CA selling PreSAT software. You must have a child in early high school? DO NOT do business with this company - they are known scum and there are many complaints out there on them.
