These guys are definitely bullies. Or try to be. You just gotta show them who is boss. The guy that calls me is named Joe Morgan. And I've even talk to the guy that is/was trying to serve me who's name is Bob. I'm dealing with these guys for an old Discover debt that is legit. They do offer you the opportunity to settle out of court, which I did. And they'll offer you a payment option. Which I set up. But like I said, they ate bullies but I can be a bully too :) Anyways, dealing with Joe Morgan, he was aggressive, but I was aggressive back. He tried having control over the call, but he didn't control s***. I eventually got my out of court settlement payment plan set up, and out of principle, I made sure the first payment didn't go through. Joe starts calling me off the hook and we eventually are back to square one. Bob (the guy trying to serve me) shows up at my work but I warned the receptionist at my work he might be showing up, which he did. And he got shut the-f*** dooooown. He calls me up trying to bully me and I just laughed in his face and started talking crap. He told me I was screwed, I lost my out if court settlement and that he/they will eventually get what they want and he hung up on me. I laughed. He had mentioned he had been trying to serve me for weeks apparently but was unsuccessful, obviously. He was apparently pretty bitter about it. Anyways, so the weekend hits and Monday rolls around and guess who calls me. Mr. Joe Morgan. By the tone of his voice, I could tell he was annoyed but he was surprisingly not aggressive at all! He wasn't being a bully or anything hahaha. I had control. Remember how Bob said I was screwed and I lost my out of court settlement? Joe offered a better out of court settlement and over more payments. I have the means to pay this of in one payment so what I'm going to do is this coming Monday when he's expecting a partial payment I'm going to call and pay the entire "out of court" balance off, which yeah they'll get what they want. But it's less than what they wanted. And they had a hell of a time getting it :)

Received a call on my work phone and a female left a voicemail regarding the "property at 115 124th Street SE, unit M1 in Everett, WA".  I have not ever lived at this address and they said that this is for "Jason D Mutler" - a name I don't know.  She was talking about the owner of the property or something like that.

The message said to call the offices of John Harden and reference case number: "CRT-1959793-WA".

I won't be calling back, but they seem to have the wrong number.

A woman named Sara Hart called for a man I have not seen in 20 years! She gave me a file number and told me to verify an address for this person.  She said I need to call her back voluntarily but that they would proceed with or without me.  What is this crap? She left a message and said to call John Harden's office at 714-415-3948.  She said that this had to be done today.  I would not give them ANY information.

I got the same call everyone else got ("by the end of business. TODAY.") from some snotty sounding surfer bro a couple of weeks back.  I actually thought he said CPS instead of CCS, and being as I have no children, I ignored the message.  I got a call from Adrianna Martinez on Friday saying if I didn't call back, all decisions would be considered final, etc.  So I call back.  Adrianna was very nice.  She told me she worked for the law offices of John Hardin, and that I was being sued by USBank for breach of contract on the grounds that I had defaulted on a credit card (true story, except that I settled it and paid it off almost three years ago).  I explained to her that I had paid that off, and she told me she could put a 72 hour hold on my case if I would look for my zero balance letter mailed to me when I paid off the debt and fax it to her.  I found it and faxed it to her the next day.  I called her Monday morning (today) to make sure all was well, and no one answered.  I left a voicemail.  Adrianna has not called me back, and after discovering this thread, I know why.  Someone did call me a couple of hours ago claiming to be "John Hardin" from "corporate" and asked to speak with me.  When I said, "This is he," "John" hung up.  I called the number back and got "Dave" at CCS.  CCS isn't even a real collections agency--this is a scam 100%.  While I think the claim of "threat" based on the voicemails we have all received is a stretch, I can't imagine that it's lawful to impersonate an attorney on the phone for reasons of obtaining information.  "Adrianna", "John" and SurferMan, you can  [removed:lang]

Yes they called....again! First it was about a US Bank account that I closed well over 5 years ago, now it's about property I have. Wow they must really need this money! Oh, and if I don't call them back (which I didn't) they will proceed without me. Never mind the fact that I NEVER received any paperwork from them regarding the account. I called the bank, they couldn't even open the information to see anything the account was purged.  Really!? What people do for money.

I received message from John Hardin office today, said I had 24 hrs to call them back to resolve financial issue concerning my property, which he named,

That exact company called me claiming they needed to talk to my grandpa about some "legal" issues.
I knew he didn't have any and knew these people were fake! Claiming that they needed him to get in touch with "John Hardin" thank god I googled this number up and found all this information

I've never answered their calls but they have been calling for a month. Several calls from several different people claiming they are gonna take me to court and do this that and the other if I don't call back by the end of the day LOL and a month later... So I decided to buy a cheap little pre paid cell phone and call them and we have some wonderful conversations because they are dying to know who I am and wellps their just never gonna know :) Its a BS scam debt collection agency who isnt hired by whom they are collecting for. They purchase the debt from whom you owe it to and then they act like they have the power to bring the hammer down lol come on people if these were legit legal claims they were making you would be served a subpoena at your door and last but not least lets not forget after 7 years your debt falls off your credit record. There is no legal process where they take you to court etc. Stop being scared of this debt collection company who operates illegally and give them a call from an unknown number and waste their time ;)

Shady, shady, shady. Called my daughter and left message that it was important legal matter concerning my property. I called the number after giving them the case #. Was on hold for 5 min and hung up. Called her again next day, I again called, put on hold. Found this forum. Just waiting for them to call me again now. When they send me something in writing then I will discuss with them, until that NO. Told my daughter to tell them not to call her again as they do have my number. I have not had a US Bank account for 9 years since my husband died. And filed bankruptcy the next year due to medical bills.They threaten to proceed with legal course. PLEASE DO. Have my lawyer just waiting! By the way they did not say they were lawyers, but did everything but say that.

This number for John Hardings office keeps calling my moms number for my husband. I believe it is a scam but when I call back all I get is a message. The number is 1-714-415-3948.

DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT give this man any info!!!! Hang-up!!!! I put in the work today and found who REALLY has my debt and it was 900 less than what this guy is asking for!!! WOW!!!!! I'm taking care of it today and reporting this man and phone number to the FTC and the attorney general!!!

From my personal experience, Kathy is NOT blowing it out of context. My experience was almost identical to her. Ive been researching all night and as far as I can tell what he is doing is illegal and this office doesnt exist in Santa Ana. Im ignoring him and dealing with US bank directly. Im taking care if this now before these ppl get away with this!

Received a call from this number today! The same man all of of you are speaking of was so rude to me. Refused to tell me what the matter of this suite was because I was angry for being misled by the message he left on my phone. He stated it was regarding my property which was a lie. The account he referred to was real but they want dbl. the amount i owe to begin with. I am contacting us bank when they open to find the correct number for my debt and paying it straight away. Then I'm reporting them to the state as well as us bank corporate! So glad I found this page!!!! i would have never known it wasnt a real lawyer or office judging by these statements and results.

I have received two messages from this same number, first from a woman named Jamie from "the offices of John Hardin" who claimed that I am being sued by the owners of property I once rented from and that I had 24 hours to contact them regarding the pressing matter. When I returned the call, she didn't let me speak at all and when I did, I was told to be quiet. She said the matter regarded an old account with US Bank and then threatened garnishing wages, etc. She hung up on me. My second message was from "john Hardin" at the offices of "W. McCain" When I called him back to explain that under the federal fair debt collection practices it was against the law to call and threaten me or provide false or misleading messages, I was told to shut up and that he "knew I wouldn't do anything" So I reported the number as well as all information to the FTC

Call for unknown person fron Burton Roy??? from John Hardin with a case #. Very rude and obnoxious.

I received a call from a threatening caller you wanted to release information about my son. Who is an adult and does not live with me.  Told me he had a law suit which is in violation of  my son's confidentiality.  Caller did not provide his name.  Called twice during out dinner hour.

My mother (84) received a call on my behalf and they were very rude and threatening.  I called back to tell them to remove her from any contact information (I am not hard to find directly) and to tell me what this was about.  I raised my voice some because the man was interrupting me and he told me to SHUT UP.  I hung up.  He called back, was rude and angry.  Opened the conversation by saying "what is your major malfunction" (that was in place of hello is this ______?) I said, you're very rude for someone who is trying to get money from me.  He said, "nobody's trying to collect money from you, don't make assumptions."  When I said "then what do you want," he hung up.

I just received the exact same message.  Stating it was regarding the property of my address, which I am renting,  I had one day to call bask.  Very rude.  So  I called the number back and got a voicemail.

Just got a call from this number and was told that it is pressing matter regarding the property. I don't own any property so have no clue. Really rude message though.

Received a summons from this people and they refused to talk to me until the court hearing.  Do I have to show up?  Will they issue a warrant on a civil matter?

I got the same message from the office of john hardin... can't verify a john harden on google... said it was referencing a complaint... I am calling the back tomorrow... will log what I find out.

We're trying to get real information here.  Don't lie or exagerate
