I got a call from a woman asking about our toner and getting us a better deal. Our corporate office is in California so it didn't shock me. I gave her my name and FAX number and waited for the FAX. Once we received the FAX, I found the prices to be extremely high plus we don't do any of the ordering, our Owner does, so I did not sign the paper. We have been getting calls from a man (who I assume is David) and we have just been ignoring them. Weirdest part is, he called my house phone last night. I ignored it again but I am majorly creeped out.

David Clay is at it again! Called to say our toner prices were going up and we would get a package at the lower price. Represented self as the distribution center for our vendor, which of  course he was NOT! Our folks unknowingly signed the document he faxed to us and sent it back and then a box of toner arrived that was compatible with our machines. When we called him back he played very innocent and stated he would e-mail us a return UPS tag to send tonner back. Time will tell!

Same old scam, calls into the facility gets a name and sends toner without getting a PO. We will not pay. These guys are parasites. David Clay must be some super tick on the a*** of american business to be scamming on a coast to coast basis. His reign of fraud stretches back to 2011 in these posts, he should be in an overcrowded California jail by now.

We are an IT services company. Someone from Network Imaging contacted a client and social engineered the printer information from them. thankfully our client became suspicious and contacted us before authorizing the transaction. Called the number, 1-800-217-5729, and the call was answered by someone saying only "helpdesk". spoke to this person for a few moments...no further info from him. Googled address; found it is, in fact, a UPS store. spoke to the manager. she was unaware of the fraud being perpetrated using their store as a front. address is 16478 Beach Blvd. #200 Westminster CA 92683 Tel: 8002175729 fax: 1-800-217-5734

Total scam...their "mailing address" is a UPS shipping store.  Wonder why CA authorities are not after them for "tax" evasion.

same deal, same number, same guy.  he had info on makes and models of our copiers but his invoice was sent addressed to a small LLC we use for training and support.  this originally tipped me off to the scam. they were pretty convincing but tried to move too fast for me to not have some red flags go off.

This company has no limits... avoid them by all means. They are scammers and if you give them the time they might make you think for a second they are a legit company. How does someone report them with local authorities? Hang up the phone and don't let them even speak that's all they deserve :)

David Clay, Network Imaging... our folks know better and transferred him to me.  Gave me the scam spiel described by others here.  I told him to take us off his list, and he hung up.

Theives. DO NOT accept any packages from these people, DO NOT pay any bills they send. They word their "returns accepted" so that they can accept your return, without providing a refund. They actually told our accounting department "Of course we said we would accept a return. We never said you would get a refund. If you don't want it, send it back. We'll take it." Poor excuse for humans. BBB has had so many compaints it's ridiculous.

We were duped as well. We had recently signed a new contract with Canon and didn't realize our toner was included until a service call with them the other day. Network Imaging had just been calling us up saying "Your next shipment is on the way!" We thought it was part of our service agreement, but nope, looks like it was a scam.

I received a call this afternoon about our copier.  When I said which one caller said "the big one".  I still hadn't caught on and said the Toshiba?  Caller said "yeah can I verify the model number".  I still didn't catch on and gave him the model number.  He said that toner is going up almost 100.00 due to rising petroleum prices.  Said he had one put aside at the lower price and since they failed to notify us, would we like it? I said yes.  He then took my name and sent a FAX (asked for the fax number) which he told me to sign and return.  I finally caught on when I saw the company was in California-we're in New York and I knew the company who services our copier is in New York.  Well I finally caught on, better late than never and did not sign and return the FAX.  He called back and I told him our toner is included in our contract and he got off the phone quick.  I hope others don't fall fro this scam.

SCAMMER!!!!! BEWARE: They just called me today. They say that the price of your Xerox toner order has increased and once you accept the new price, they mail you out toner for the xerox machine your office has, but the catch is that they mark up the price of the toner to 3x the actual cost from Xerox. This is a scam and they will try to exploit you at all costs.

On 04/26/12 we received a call and fax from Network Imaging, 16478 Beach Blvd #200, Westminster, CA 92683 with a printed telephone number of 800-217-5729.  The fax originated from 800-217-5734.  Luckily our staff knew not to sign anything or agree to anything.  They told David Clay to contact me, which he did.  When I told him we had contract pricing already, he quickly said that the toner sale wouldn't benefit our company and then a click.  He definitely does his homework.  If your staff isn't trained to refer accounts payable and receivable issues to the appropriate dept., you can get caught very easily.  A good rule of thumb...if the business isn't an approved vendor, you can be pretty confident that they are trying to scam you...

Toner scam from David Clay, Network Imaging, 16478 Beach Blvd #200, Westminster CA 92683.  Claim they are from your copier leasing company (knew my name + machine model #), and says there has been a toner price increase but they are going to lock in the lower price for the next couple of shipments if we just sign and return their fax.  Red flag:  toner is included in our lease, West Coast area code when the company we lease from is in the Midwest.  The fax they send is an order confirmation form which, if you sign and return, authorizes them to ship and bill toner to your company.

Wow, there are people out there still doing the toner scam??

Called and said they were calling regarding our recent copier problem and needed to talk to the person who handles that.  I asked if they were with Konica Minolta cause man it SURE sounded like that scam that went around a long time ago.

I just have no idea why he hung up.  *grin*  Anyhow, the scam is back out there so warn your bosses/fellow admin assts.
