think about this people. If it truly is a market research firm, they usually put an add in a newspaper to hire people to test product against product. And they usually pay these people very well for comparing product to product. With these phone calls coming in anonymously they're not comparing anything, but snooping to ask you personal questions.

a true market research firm will give you a location to go to, you'll sit in a room, the owners of the company will be behind a dark glass window listening to your comparisons, so they can compare the products being researched,

This go online and take a survey for me, is nothing but snooping. gathering information, possibly to be sold to someone you'd never ask to even get to know.

If dunkin donuts needs to evaluate their employees, let them do it in their franchises, by their bosses, in a performance appraisals. Don't harass people because you learned how to use a telephone. Today they weren't taking any credit cards, or their own gift cards.

The calls that is from DATASCENSION is directly from Costa Rica. Most are native from Costa Rica and most are Americans.... So that is why most calls are not native english speakers! We are obligated to dial some stupid projects, some are worth doing. Also when you get a call from Nelison movies it take close to 30 or 1hr long....  Its the worst company to ever worked or be part of!!!!! (NADA)

I have answered a couple of times and they hang up. In the last two weeks they have called us 25 times. We have caller id and are keeping track. Sometimes calls coming in are 5 minutes apart. Annoying!

I got a call from this number and the guy tried to do anything he could to keep me on the line. He tried to ask me random questions. I told him whatever it was he had to say I was not interested. He was rude and anoying!!

I just received a phone call from this number.  I did not pick up but the caller ID said DATASCENSION.

Called and hung up.  I suspect trouble....

this number called me and I acted like I was the blind/deaf, with alternating blind deaf syndrome that would randomly switch between blind or deaf at any moment. Then I would sing the Calypso songs "shake shake shake senora, shake your body yo!"

I love them, I can't wait for my next call! Screw myspace! I am threw with those ungrateful aholes! now I have a captive audience all my own! MUWAHAHAH!

Got a call this aft from 1 714-482-9769 on my business line and the woman stated she was from Qwest telephone company and I was eligible for rate decreases...but she wanted all my info. I asked for her CUID number which every Qwest employee has and she didn't know what it was. Obviously this lady was fishing for info to sell to other harrassing telemarketers. I have signed up under the do not call registry on both business and house numbers yet I get calls daily as well as unsolicitied faxes. Frustrating.

This number is calling me all hours of the day and night

The name of this company showed up on my caller ID.  They have a website- it's a merketing copany so they are calling for different reasons but- always to collect marketing data from you it appears.

I got a call regarding dining out.  yeah, I like the loud whistle idea.  Interesting!

They keep calling me too. Never a message, just the number on my ID. Twice I was home and took the call. Both times I told them I do not participate in surveys on the phone and asked them not to call me. No such luck. (By the way, I can't understand their accents either. You'd think they could at least speak proper English if they wish to torment us.) I tried that e-mail address twice, but they keep calling. Maybe I'll play with them. First answer: potato, next: blue, etc. Drive them as nuts as they do me.

This nuisance number keeps calling me daily.  I do not pick up, and a message is never left on my voicemail.

I have been getting phone calls from this number almost everyday and when I pick up it usually gets disconnected.

i got a call from this number this afternoon and missed it. no message, but after reading all these comments i sure am lucky i wasnt in the car. a word of advice, if people call your phone wanting you to do a survey, say you are 15 yrs old and this is your cell phone and your a foster child(if they ask for your 'parents') . i guarantee you wont fit into any of their demographics and no more calls, but be nice and innocent ! if they act up tell them your scared and threaten you will hang up on them and dial 911 because you have their number!

Apparently this is some survey company. I told them I wasn't interested in answering the questions.

They have called numerous times. Twice yesterday (Sunday).  We don't answer.  Never pick up calls that we don't recognize the number.

These people are EXEMPT FROM THE DO NOT CALL LIST.  Take the time to read some of the previous posts, a lot of folks have passed on information about this company. They are a nuisance (to put it mildly). I second the idea of flooding THEIR TOLL FREE NUMBER and giving them a taste of their OWN medicine (at their expense):

I've gotten 4 from them just tonite alone. I do not answer it. Nor do they leave a message. I am getting ready to block them from my phone. Hope that works! I am on the Do Not Call List as well but what god does it do? NOTHING! I've gotten 3 from Japan this week alone. Only know from checking the number here. The list goes on...

Twice on 10-2-08 they called.  I tried calling back even tried to send a fax to tell them to stop.  Finally found a toll free number 888-996-9238 and told them if they ever called me again I would file a harrassment lawsuit and finacially break them.  I have good attorneys on retainer.

I intend on calling them on their coin using the toll free # every day for a month.  Let's see how they like the harrassment!

And let's work to get the law changed so that if you are on the National Do NOT call list, that means everyone is forbidden to call you.

I'm from Spain. I live in Madrid and I have received a lot of calls from this number in the last 10 days. It's very annoying because they call very late in the evening. I told them yesterday not to call me anymore. I don't know it is going to work.

I received 3 calls from this number in the past hour.  I don't pick up "unknown callers".  No message left.

This is from their website:

The problem is they have your email, so get one you can toss

I have found an exotic number in my phonelist, 0017144829769, and as I use to do I have just checked internet for info. I am in the Canary Islands (Spain) and I have found it really strange 'cause it´s an international call. Is it from Canada? Is it a scam, cheat or anythig?

I get a call at least once a week from this number.  Its always a different telemarketer.  There has to be a law against this.  If its some loophole, it needs to be addressed and tightened up.  I'm ready to shoot someone for the continual annoyance.  Reporting it doesn't seem to help anything.

I don't know how these companies can keep calling under the summize that it's a survey or charity. But I've come to the conclusion that the Atty General isn't doing enough about it. Therefore, I've instituted my own plan of attack against these companies. I don't always answer. Yes, I know it's irritating when they constantly call. I've gone so far as to turn the ringers off on my phones when the constant calling won't stop. It truly is harassment. My plan of attack when I do answer: BLOW A WHISTLE AS LOUD AS YOU CAN WHEN THEY ANSWER and then hang up. I guarantee the calling will at least slow down. My solution isn't 'fool proof, but # of calls has definately slowed. I checked my call logs and found that 80% of the incoming calls to my home landline were form these types of pesky companies. I don't carry a landline to be harassed and I'm supposing you don't either. The whistling is cathartic. I had 1 caller ask me not to blow the whistle after the compay called me 5 times in 1 night and all of the 'agents' had discussed my number. You know what ... that company # doesn't show up on my caller ID anymore!!!!!!!!!!!

Never gave them a chance, the fact they were calling at close to 9 pm sent me over the edge.  I cursed, then hung up.

I have received a couple of calls from this number and I finally answered the call this evening.  It was a foreign-sounding woman who said she was conducting a movie survey - did I mind answering a few questions.  I participate in multiple surveys by mail, phone, in person, and on the internet, so I didn't mind answering her questions.  Her questions were typical questions I've been asked on various other surveys; however, when we got to age, she thanked me for my time.
