Received call on July 14 9:40 AM ET from 714-499-5042.
"This is Michael calling in reference to your credit card services......."
I hung up.
Very frustrating.
Appears these telemarketers get around the DNC lists by working cross border.
Need treaty legislation to legislate that Canada and US 'do not call lists' apply cross border.

These idiots keep calling - have asked to be taken off the calling list 6 times. - Search indicated the number is originating from Anaheim California.

... 6.9%!  But my eligibility is running out.  Whatever the rest of the message was, my answering machine cut it off.  Wow, I better call back right away!

714-499-5042 called my phone just now. I did not know anyone in the 714  area code so the call was not answered. The LoLife did not leave a msg.

I just looked up this number through a company named Intelius (www.intelius.com) on-line.  The info below says that this number comes from Orange County, Placentia, CA.  I'm not prepared to spend in order to get further info but this site tells you a little bit of information.  If interested please see below.  I just copied from the web page.

I had a call from this number this morning.  I picked up and got some dead air.  Upon calling this number back I got some guy supposedly on his cell phone and some sort of mumbo jumbo about interest rates.  When I asked the guy why he was disturbing me at my home, I got the old WTF and he hung up on me.  I've decided to bug these people just like they bother me.  I will periodically throughout the day call.  When I do I get a message stated that states ' LA 02 message 3 the mobile number you have called is no longer in service ' same as 'netgk' above.

We are so tired of getting calls from this number.  Usually 4-5 times a day.  I only answered once and hung up once I heard recorded message.  Since then I let it go to voice mail but they just hang up.  Would like to know how to get them to stop!

we've been getting this call 2 to 3 times, sometimes 4 a day..grrrr! i'm at the point where i press talk and off just so it would stop ringing!

Had a call from this number tonight.  no message was left.  glad to see that I didn't waste my time by answering.

We have been getting these calls and recordings for several weeks and we always press "take of list" option, but the calls keep coming.  Tonight my daughter decided to press the "talk to an agent" option and the most strange conversation took place.....
When my daughter asked them to take us off the list, the agent started talking over her, asking what her problem is, why didn't she want to save money. When my daughter started getting very angry, the "agent" started saying he didn't understand her, and could she not understand English. he went on that he couldn't understand her German.....?; on and on like that until she hung up.  What is strange is, we are English speaking Canadians for 6 generations, there is not even a slight accent in our speech, and even if there were, it would be Irish.... Very bizzare!  
We have to get rid of these companies, honestly, how do they sleep at night?  We had to do the old *69 to get the number as we do not have call display.

I was in a meeting and couldn't answer the phone.  I called the number later and got a recorded message saying, "L.A. 02.  Message 3.  The mobile number you have called is no longer in service."  Then the same message is said in Spanish.  Then English, and then Spanish again, and then I hung up.

Called my skype #, left blank message. It's a new # so they must be using an auto-dialer.

ID does not show up. Recorded message only, stating my credit cards are in danger though my credit rating is okay. You are told to press 1 to speak to an "agent". Upon pressing 1 all I got was a busy signal. I have received similar calls in the past. Those originated in Virginia and I reported them. This is a scam/boiler room operation to sell credit "protection". DO NOT FALL FOR IT !!!!!
I like talking to these "agents" and wasting their time, as they have to close a sale quickly and the longer you keep them going by playing dumb, hard of hearing or being unable to speak English well, ETC. it costs them money.
Report this number to the California state attorney general's office, or any fraud office in your area.

NOTE:  Canadians have NO protection or recourse from these type of calls that are generated outside the country.
