The call last evening was after 8PM - my phone is registered with the DO NOT CALL Registry and I stayed on to try and get someone to remove me from the list, but all agents were busy.

I just got a call from them but they claimed to be a nonprofit debt relief service.  There is also a real business by the name of "American Family Counseling Center" in Canoga Park, CA and  "American Family Counseling Centers" in Stanton, CA.  Both are mental health providers.  What scumbags to use the business names of real companies.  Personally, I just left them the phone number for a local FBI office.

Calls all the time.

caller ID says French Village but it's a recording regarding credit card ..... SCAM

American Family Counseling Centers- they call under several exchanges from the 714 area code.  Their recorded message states, "This is an important message about your credit card account. Because of the amount of your current balances and because your interest rates are higher than 12%. You may qualify for the interest rate reduction program. This special program is exclusively for customers of credit card companies that may have received Federal stimulus money and it allows you to consolidate all of your high interest credit cards into one account with much lower interest rates. American family counseling centers a non profit company can help determine your eligibility, call (800) 619-1083 to share simple non specific information and see if you qualify for this program, That's (800) 619-1083."  They do not respond to requests to remove numbers from their call list.

National Consumer Couseling, more like National Consumer Collection Agency. Liars after money, that's all.
