I'm getting four or five a day too and I'm getting real tired of it. I think I will report them to the BBB. Enough is enough. And if the owners of this phone number ever read these messages Note: If I don't answer the first 3 times don't call back.

Thank you, Ivan and that's all fine and good, but what are we supposed to do to stop these harrassing calls? They are annoying, inconvenient and I do not want to receive them! I get 7-8 per day. Since typing this, they have called me twice. You're quick to defend Mark Allen Mortgage, but do have any suggestions for the victims of these ridiculous calls?

these people are a fake.  There is no business that is associated with this number, the best way is to contact your phone company to get a run the calls and report them to the poice dept.  They will get caught.

4-5 calls per day on cell

ANNOYING!!  My boyfriend says it's a cell phone virus.  He used to get the calls (from other numbers) with his razor cell phone.  Since switching to a new phone (same phone service, same number, just a new phone) he has stopped getting them, and has not received any new ones.

These people call constantly!  I called the police and I am pressing charges. I have had it! They are harrasing my family.

I recieve multiple calls a day and have for more than a week now. The first time I picked up I only heard breathing. Then nothing and I threatened to call the police. Is it possible they could be getting info from us via our phones?

I received a call from an inexperienced dumb and unprofessional girl from this number asking me about my mortgage.  Then before we can finish the conversation, she hangs up on me!  Unbelievable.  I am unsure which company this number belongs to because the telemarket did NOT disclose it.  How are these telemarketers supposed to sell mortgages if nobody knows where they are buying it from?

they are from a mortgage company.  Very aggressive and borderline harassment.  Thinking about calling the better business bureau on them.  They have not placed me on their do not call list after numerous requests.

Same thing here.  I plan on doing my best to scam bait them to reveal who they are.  Since it is a bad connection and they are using a false caller ID it is probably a voip connection from overseas(or a local "boiler room").  The reason it probably doesn't respond to you when you pick up is because they are using some cruddy autodialer software that should detect you voice and alert a person there but since the connection is bad from the voip it doesn't "sense" your voice answer and thus never alerts the scammers.

Will report back with what I find.  Maybe we can have a laugh at their expense.

Ohh and I plan on suing for every one of the documented calls I have from them if they are US based.

Maddening and very frustrating.  BUT I have the answer on how to stop these calls.  I foolishly entered my cell phone in to two on-line mortgage websites: Quicken Loans and Lower My Bills.com  Since then these calls started -- all as described in the other comments.  To stop them you must:
STEP 1:  answer the call on the first or second ring. The calls are being made by an auto-dialer.  By the fourth ring the auto-dialer has disconnected.
STEP 2: wait a second or so until the auto-dialer connects to a "real" person who is calling you (calls made between 2PM and 9PM). That person will introduce himself/herself as calling from "mortgage services" to followup on some inquiry you made on a mortgage financing.
STEP 3:  indicate very politely that you have either (1)lost the home to bank foreclosure, (2)became bankrupt, or (3) your former wife now owns the home, that you are now homeless, and you were avoiding all the previous calls from 714-555-5555 because you thought they were bill collectors.
STEP 4: calls will immediately stop

I get a call from theswe fools every 15 minutes

I have been getting calls from this number for a week, some times 3-4 times a day! I tried to pick up almost all the time; most of the time they just hang up when I pick up. 2-3 times they asked for my name. When I responded with "Who is this?" they hang up right away! Few times I missed the call, but they left no voice message!

I get 4 or 5 calls a day from these people. I had my mom answer the phone on one occasion and ask who was calling and as soon as she asked they hung up. It was not an auto dialer it was a person and I have a prepaid phone and no mprtgage so how did they get my number? Also how do I go about suing?

They called my cell phone and left me a voicemail about mortgage and my credit card (I don't even have a credit card...OR a mortgage...or even a house I could have a mortgage for).

They only called me once so far, thankfully!

Called 11:04am. Promoting "Halloween OC". I guess a big event at the fair grounds. The same company calls for other events. Very annoying- have never gone and never will. Don't know how they got my number
