Received a call from 714-579-1340 which left a message on my answering machine. The message wanted me to call 866-579-3137 ext 209. I called the number and played the message, they wanted info on someone I knew 10 years ago. The phone was answered "law office" when I asked for clarification they stated "law office of amy mcdonald".
Told them I hadn't seen the person in 10 years and to not call back this number. The man (who would not identify himself) got beligerant.

I called  (949) 719-2497 and spoke to Amy McDonald. She apologied for the action of the unidentified man. I gave my phone number and asked he to please make sure I was not called again. I also refered to a previously sent email stating my request not to be called again.

She did acknowledge the phone numbers stated above and said that Beck's Creek Industries was an affiliate of her's and they were a collection agency where as the person who would not identify himself stated that they were not.

now they are using 714-579-3136 and having you return call to 866-579-3137 ext 207. They got all my information from my 16 year old son by threatenting him with the sheriff. what can i do about this?

Report them if they keep calling you. If they call you multiple times you can get a police report for phone harrassment. Send them a validation letter. You will most likely have to do this over and over again. They won't validate anything with you and try and scare you by saying they have proof. If they had proof they would be able to prove it to you. What's so funny is they will still have to prove this to the judge. Just because they don't validate with you doesn't mean they won't have to eventually. So if they file start the discovery process. Show the court how many times you validated this with them and how they refused. The judge will get mad they didn't do that and think they are wasting everyone's time.

There are attorneys out there who will help you sue in Federal Court. I recommend you document that and sue them

Sue Amy McDonald and report her to the State Bar. Beck is calling themselves the Law Offices of Amy McDonald so bring her into this.

Above all, they all need to be reported so we can get their illegal tactics shut down.

They are losers. They only know how to use scare tactics. They also like to file suit in hopes you don't answer it and they win by default. Or better yet they hope you just give in and pay them. I will point out that they will need to PROVE their case in court. They will need to validate that what they are saying you owe is actually yours. Printouts, photocopies, etc....They don't work. They are desperate individuals looking to make money.

By the way calling your office manager with that kind of verbage is against the law. There are plenty of attorneys who will take your case without any fees.

Don't let them scare you. They are pretty pathetic to act like that. It's just a pure act of desperation.

So what if you have a lawsuit pending. It doesn't mean you have to call them back. In fact, you should make sure you answer the complaint. If you can get legal help. Beck tends to file so they can get you to call them and they can bully you around and get you to pay or not answer the complaint so they can win by default.

Answer the complaint. They still have to validate with you. You have the right to know if this is even your debt, if they have a legal right to collect on it, etc. So fire away a them. That is your right.

If you have to call them back, ask them if you can record the call.
