Well that makes me laugh Beck. After you are served you have 30 days to answer your complaint. Then after that period of time if you don't answer, you can have judgment entered which would lead to wage garnishment. It just doesn't happen like that with a snap of a finger. If it did happen in a week then either the person did not answer or Beck did not have them served properly which at that point the judgment can be vacated.

Above all else who cares if they sue. They still have to prove it. Bring discovery on these people. They have got nothing. Sue them in Federal Court. There are very sympathetic juries right now to this type of thing. There are also attorneys out there willing to waive fees to help you sue them. Sue the b*****ds people.

Let's face it, if they had documents they would be able to validate and not be so abusive on the phone. They are abusive because they are desperate for money and to pay their own bills and will stop at nothing, even if it is breaking the law. They file in court in hopes you will either give up and settle or ignore the summons so they could get a default judgment. Don't give them that pleasure. Nail them in court. It can be done.

I got a call from this guy about an employee I DON'T have.  I can't say for sure, but this sounds super scammy.  I wouldn't tell "Mark Perry" anything.

ooeee, do you seriously believe anyone will fall your obviously phony claim? As I mentioned earlier, if the debts that you're trying to collect were valid and legally collectible, then the law would be on your side and there wouldn't be any reason for to stoop to posting phony messages online.  The fact is, you try to scare and intimidate people into letting you steal their money.

called as a law firm,they didnt get what they wanted,1 week later i was served with a summons to appear in court,i didnt show up so now i have a judgement and i just recieved notice of garnishment!!!

Report them and if they keep calling, then call the police and get them for phone harrassment. Write to them via fax, certified letter and email that they need to validate basically what business they have with you. You will have to do this a lot of times, since they will argue with you. They will tell you they have all this big evidence, which they don't. After that gather all of your evidence and report it to the Attorney General Office, FTC, etc. Also, report Amy McDonald to the State Bar.

There's also a lot of attorneys willing to waive fees and help you sue in Federal Court. Take all of your evidence and sue them in Federal Court.

Don't worry if they try and sue you. Their refusal to validate means they have nothing to prove. It will be a fun experience for you to tell the Court how many times you tried to validate with them. Make them look stupid in Court.

Since Beck likes to try and embarrass people and be cruel, let's turn the tables and embarrass their cruel and embarrassing tactics in Court.

I am an employer and received a very legitimate sounding call from Mr. James Stone.  He said he was from the Law Offices of Amy McDonald.

He was trying to chase down an ex employee of mine.  One that I had not spoken to in about a year or two.  And one that has not worked for me for over 5 years.  He claimed they were filing a lawsuit against my former employee and trying to find him.

I found this post after I hung up with him.  Obviously, these guys are still using the same tactic.  He left the same phone number 714-579-3138 to call him back if there was any additional information.
