If this was a legitimate company trying to sell a product, then I would assume someone would be on the phone when I answer instead of silence and then a dial tone. When I call the number back I simply get a busy signal. I also am on the national Do Not Call list, which seems to be useless.

If you made a "living" scamming people on the phone all day, you'd have a short fuse too!

You're a grumpy old fart at 61.   He ask you if you worked for them,  not your age.  There is a difference.   You just aren't trying George!  You jump all over Mr. Kyle when he just ask a few simple questions.  He didn't accuse you of spreading herpes.    You eye sight or  reading comprehension is failing you.
People trying to be nice to you and you just act like an.......old fart!    Chill man......let's us be best Buds!!
And for gosh sakes,  lose that short fuse.

If you will re-read my post,   I believe that I asked Questions for information purposes. ....didn't accuse you of anything.    Did I?      Little bit of an attitude and  kind of hot under the collar aren't you?    (Now,  that was a question and an accusation)

if the utility company gave out your information and your on the dnc list, thats probably something you should consider taking up with your company.

George,   you seem to be the answer man here,   If a utility took it upon themselves to give out customer phone numbers for this company to call,  is this still a violation of the DNC?   Does the utility have the right to bypass the purpose of the DNC,  and just give out customers names to a 3rd party to call and the 3rd party is then allowed under the DNC to call?   I'm curious because I'm in the same boat as Poster "Seth".
Also,  do you work for them?

Sorry George,  no cigar.    I have not inquired anywhere about anything nor have I attended any event or entered or requested anything else.   I do not use the internedt except to check my email once a week  (which I never get any or send any)  and I come here when I get an unknown caller.   I live a dull life,  I guess.  The only thing that I can think of is if one of the utilities started handing out customer names to contact.  Or else,  maybe they just called this number.  The old shot in the dark,  aka   shotgun theory...

Maybe we should just refer them to call you then, instead of all these people who DON'T want them to call.

I see. well out of curiosity i asked how they got my number and they said it was from a home show and specified which one. just so happens i was at that exact home show and inquired about home improvements. so maybe that's how they got your number....you may have inquired some where in the past or someone you know could have referred you. I gave the gentlemen plenty of referrals when I was signing contract. Its the way the business goes.

They are Telemarketing to people on the Do Not Call Registry list.  How is that acceptable?   It is their responsibility to purchase that list from the FTC at assigned intervals and up date so that they do not call those who have requested not to be telemarketed.  It is not the consumers responsibility to advise the Telemarketers that they are on the list.   I would hope that each and every person who gets these calls will not just complain her,  but go to the FTC/DNC site and file a complaint.   These Telemarketers are getting to where they push the envelope and ignore the DNC because no one complains.  I would never do business with anyone who harasses  me and my family via our home phone.  We pay a monthly bill for this utility and it's not so that some damn Telemarketer can use it as their personal sales tool.

Hey, how is lying on the internet working out for you? Sites like this must really cut into your illicit profits.

I am replying to the "employee" from Power Solutions which is the name of the company associated with this number.  If people want your services, they would call YOU.   You spam people with your unwanted phone calls and for me, I would never use a company that calls and spams me.
