they call me about once a month. ive just learned to live with it. i mess with them...tell them i have diffrent names for my credit cards...im illegal...and funny stuff...theres no getting around it

Account Services scam (Heather) again.

I got this call this morning. I have been going through credit counseling and am close to paying off a card. I pressed 1 and immediately got somebody. When I asked which card, the voice said "your Visa OR Master Card" I told them I don't have a Master Card and then they hung up. Definitely a phishing scam. And, of course, so close to Christmas. I usually don't answer calls from numbers I don't know, but I thought it was family or friends since they live in that area code.

Call came in at 9:58 am cst, caller id said  "Account svc", no message left. Same old, same old! I've learned elsewhere that the robodialers earn money on completed calls (i.e., connected calls) via intercompany phone charges when calls are routed through various carriers, regardless. Just a fraction of a cent per call but since they can easily place millions of calls and continually rotate their spoofed numbers, it can add up. The scams they perpetrate on the gullible are the icing on the cake - the people who own the businesses make out on the calls themselves. One of the worst offfenders is a company named Pacific Telecom based in Oregon which sells the service to others scammers (though Oregon revoked their telecommunications license for abuses, but that didn't seem to put them out of business, maybe they just moved operations elsewhere.)

Received an unsolicited call on my cell phone from number 7146077250. Very annoying.

Received a call from that number.  Strange accent; perhaps Indian asking for "Vishant", "Rashant" or something like that.  Hung up when I replied "Wrong number".

This # is teh same numbe rthat called me on 425-406-9028. Please google this number.

my calls came from India first two third was american and it may start off as card services but they knew my card number or at least the first 12 #s, how much was on my bal, n my available credit n that it was a citi, so i called to complain to them, got new card

I got that same call; and they wanted some infomation on my credit cards to lower my rate, and since they had my information, I thought they were legit. I have closed my card, and having new ones re-issued.

Same thing, missed cell phone call, no message. Glad I didn't answer it.

I got the same call, on CELL phone. Annoying!!!! Glad it was a weekend so I don't have to lose minutes...

They called me too. I will save the phone number as: "Don't answer!!!"

just got a called, I thougth it was a friend so I answer and it was an automated machine ("Heather") and as soon as I hear 'account services' I hang up.

This number is the second number that has called me since I bought tickets to a play online.   They required a cell phone number in order to purchase the ticket. It been 6 calls in 3 days. Anyway I am going to FIGHTBACK

- Avoid giving phone numbers unless it is required to complete the checkout. They might say it is required but checkout will complete even without it. Try leaving it out a proceed.

- If it is required but it seems unnecessary to have the number given they have your email address.  I plan to provide the phone numbers that they are using to annoy me and let them call each other. LOL

They keep calling me at the weekends before 7:00 am and I'm really ticked off!  It's about time the government really cracked down on these people! Seriously, you have to watch your back...

Received a call on my cell phone saying they were calling my credit card balance (not a real person)      - NO NAME GIVEN - and want to help me lower my interest rate.  Of course I hung up but how did they get my cell phone number??? and on a Saturday morning!

I received a unwanted call from 714-607-7250.  How can these calls be stopped?  Pat D.
