I think this company is actually some kind of marketing scam. It's pretty common in the "home improvement" and "green home" industry.

LA area BBB is shut down due to allowing companies to pay for ratings. Wouldn't use it as a reference. Also found an article in Contra Costa Times about your scam on seniors. How is this company still in business?  Where are the regulators?

"First I would ask everyone to go to the Better Business Bureau website and you will find we have an A rating. No scammer will have that."

Lol. The BBB is worthless, and the branch that gave you your "rating" has since been expelled from the Better Business Bureau.

This company appears to have some unsavory relations with a couple of entities now listed as "surrendered" on the Secretary of State Website. Most recent registered agent is not Casey Simon, whose name appears on the contractor's license, but William Mitchell, presumably his attorney (doesn't look like there's any pending action against the attorney with the state bar, but, frankly, that's not saying much). Since the predatory company in question is a dba, it was a little difficult to find the parent entity, unless they are still using the FN under a surrendered corp, which wouldn't be that surprising.

The marketing tactics make me think that this is some kind of bait and switch. Clearly they're using an automated dialer. My guess is that they attempt to connect to people who are vulnerable and sell them on either defective, overpriced or superfluous products. It's, sadly, not uncommon in the industry.

Is Casey Simon out of jail?

To John Aden:

If your company was reputable you wouldn't have to resort to boiler room telemarketing and munge your numbers.  Plain and simple.

Now Pacific Coast Home Solutions is using another number -- (714) 729-1810 -- in the hopes of snagging more unwary consumers. Why does Pacific Coast keep changing its number? Maybe the Attorney General SHOULD start an investigation. Something sure doesn't smell right.

To all the people offended i want to say sorry, the people that call you literally have no control over calling you, we call from a dialer.  Basically we are sitting at a computer sending us these calls we are not intentionally calling people on the do not call list. We are also told and trained on when we do get someone on the do not call list to remove them from our system.  I have worked at a few places like this and we do the most to try not to be in that situation in the first place. As for the "waste there time method" that may actually cost someone there job but if you simply ask us we have no problem taking you off the system. people forget that we are just like you trying to make a living and not trying to make that living ripping people off. i read all these things and it's just really surprising how much stuff is not true. i am not saying to do business with our company, you should do what feels right. but what i am saying that most the time we do not have control of the call until after it is dialed, don't want to be called again tell us it does not make sense to call when no one is benefiting. But like i started off we are sorry we are people too and we understand your frustration and you do not have to buy anything special to not get our calls, just tell us.
PERSONAL NOTE: PEOPLE TEND TO FORGET WHEN ANY TELEMARKETER IS CALLING NOWADAYS THEY HAVE YOUR ADDRESS,ZIP AND PHONE # i think people should be careful when they get calls, even when i get them at my home from other companies i am always respectful for that reason just be careful and this is not a threat, i just think people should know.

Hi Joey
1. The is no "ongoing investigation by the attorney general of us in any state"
2. I understand many people do not like telemarketing. However no one here is a criminal.
3. I hope you will contact me directly and I will remove you from any list we have with you on it.

What a bunch of criminals.  They robo-call and spam with no regard for the DNC registry.

We've notified all our contractors that we are boycotting Avalon Windows, Alside Vinyl Siding, CoolWall Exterior Coatings, GreenFiber Insulation, Anderson Heating and Cooling and anybody else featured on the Pacific Coast-Hole website.

There's an ongoing investigation by the CA Attorney General, too.

Hello Jerry
I am John Aden the Corporate Training Manager at Pacific Coast Home Solutions.
I understand there is some frustration and I wanted to see if i can help.
First I would ask everyone to go to the Better Business Bureau website and you will find we have an A rating. No scammer will have that. Next please visit the website for the League of California Homeowners and you will see we are an approved contractor. That's no small accomplishment, especially when you see their requirements we must pass before becoming an approved contractor.
A credit check, background check for liens, bk's, lawsuits, unhappy customers and more. Plus it's an annual approval process. Once approved, we go through it all again a year later. That's important because it means we can't pull one over on customers from year to year.

Jerry, we built our business on helping homeowners save money by offering more energy efficient windows, insulation and tex cote for the outside of the house. We've been in business for 15 years.
We have a brick and mortar building. We dont contract any of our work, all installation is done by our company employee installers, unlike Home Depot! They use outside contractors!

In short if you have any questions, contact me personally or come by my office!
I'm happy to help.

Twice this week we received a call from Pacific Coast Home Improvement, 888 347-7247. Made sure in between his speel this time I asked the name of the company and the telephone number. He seemed happy to answer, then kept going on with his speel. Once I had all the information I told him I was on the DNC llist and I would be reporting the call.

You have to understand how telemarketing works. First companies use phone calls because coming to every home in town, in person,  is not feasible nor cost effective. So they purchase lists of phone numbers in a particular area. That list costs Thousands. It contains many dead old numbers, disconnected numbers and would you believe...bad numbers... because people move and die. Therefore instead of hiring someone to sit on a phone and test dial number after number just to screen bad numbers, companies use an AUTO dialer. It test dials the list and when you say HELLO...it logs that number as good and forwards it to the call center where a HUMAN calls you and you hang up on them or take the call or whatever you might do.

If you were NOT on the DO NOT CALL registry BEFORE some phone list company got your number then guess what ...your number will appear on this list they purchase...and it will get dialed and you might be mad thinking "What the heck?--I signed up on the DNC registry 3 years ago and I'm still getting calls...these buggers are violating the DNC system."  No, the company they buy the list from had your number maybe 10 years ago and continues to sell your number to whomever is looking for such lists. As soon as you say take me off, most companies do take you off. But whenever they buy the next list and you are on there again...you might be a recall.
But I hope that explains why there is no response to calls sometimes, and explains why you might be getting calls again.

your just an unsignificant statistic that probably lost out on a great opportunity by not taking the time to listen to the best in the business ... see its people like you and all the rest of you negitive jerks that think your the s*** well I got news for you a** holes... your not smart enough to understand the value of good people to people business relationships I've worked for telemarketing companies and there is always a postive reaction to positve reaction... telemarketers are trained to be positive .. and good mannered... if you recieve any negitiveness from any telemarketer most likely your the reason why!!! there is a proper way to handle unwanted calls .... JUST ASK TO SPEAK TO A MANAGER AND  INQUIRE ON HOW TO STOP THESE CALLS FROM HAPPENING ... or are you that simple minded that you had to go and buy a phone ... oh thats rite yes u are ...

I did as you asked and they laughed me off. Sorry about that, but if they call again ask to speak to the manager and let him/her know you want off the PCHS list permanently or you'll call the authorities or bring a lawsuit. They are so used to irate customers threatening to open a can of whoop-**s on them, they laugh and share stories. They were recently fined and are still edgy about it, so going there will get you heard and what you want accomplished. I am truly sorry they make your life such hell.

This company calls to offer people who can't afford to make upgrades to homes like double paned windows, paint, roofing, insulation, heating and a/c etc. A lot of people don't even hear what they have to offer before they talk s**t or hang up. The do offer money to help you upgrade your home. They're are part of a California energy efficiency program. Hope this helps.

I needed a full-time job to pay my rent and Pacific Coast Home Solutions was the only one fitting the bill. I was told that my job was an "appointment setter", getting sales reps to homeowners to sell vinyl windows, super-cote, insulation, roofing, trim, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. I was schooled in product knowledge and, convinced that we were offering quality products to homeowners with the offer of financial assistance, went to work. Now, in all fairness, the products themselves are great, however the tactics of the people offering them don't reflect that. I was instructed to talk until I was either hung up on, or the homeowner set an appointment time with me. I was told that homeowners weren't our friends repeatedly, yet reminded that we needed to tell homeowners that we were doing "something special for someone special". I was introduced to our "company superstar" to listen to him on the phone and was appalled at the rude, degrading tactics he employed on clients. I was fired within 3 weeks of starting because I just couldn't bring myself to be rude or pushy with homeowners, especially ones who told me of personal struggles and hardships, which caused me to be unable to set the quota of appointments necessary for minimum production standards. I am sad that I was fired but happy to be away, I also want to assure the board that if you talked to me and told me to take your name of the list, I did what I could to make sure my manager knew who you were and that you requested removal. Thought I'd tell the other side of the story. By the way, if you call to "harass" them back, you will only reach a front desk clerk who doesn't do telemarketing at all, so please keep that in mind before unleashing your anger on her.
