DON'T POST YOUR PHONE NUMBER ON CRAIGSLIST, THEY GET YOUR NUMBERS FROM THAT SITE.

7143138390 got my phone number from Craigslist. Just make and appointment for him to come over get his business card at the door and cancel the appointment. Tell him whenever you call back I will make another appointment and cancel at the door. HE WILL STOP!  Then take the card to your city manager or code enforcement for soliciting without a license in your city and he will be cited and you already have all his information. BEST DEAL

Even if it's a scam, I don't see how they make money if they immediately hang-up on call-backs. That's what makes it freaky.

Called then hung up. I called the number back, got no answer. Why do these jerks keep calling, and who are they??!!

Two calls today 9/16.  Get person on line but no help - Tell them to remove my number but the calls keep coming.

The entire operation is an ILLEGAL ENTERPRISE. These crooks are calling people ILLEGALLY in the first place so why do you think they'll take you off the list if you ask?

Try a loud whistle after you get one of these crooks in person, you may have to use it repeatedly.

A new one to add to their list is 313-651-7729 I HATE THEM and I especially hate the fact that as soon as you get them to listen and you say take me off your calling list they hang up!!!!!!! AGHHHHHH!!!!!!!

I called the Morgan Drexen.  The Operator doesn't know anything about it.  I did try the FCC.  In caller ID they show up as all kinds of business names and #s.  Here are a few:  408-651-8124, 603-214-3344, 623-871-2692, 616-980-1200 as "Pro Master."

I would like to punch John Stevens in the face!!! I'm getting these same calls and they drive me crazy. I took some advice of one of the comments above and called 866-225-1956. Not sure who they are but they were really nice and said they would take care of it and remove my name from the list. He said it would take up to 24 hours for them to stop calling. I gave them the 3 numbers from John Stevens-Debit solution calls which are: 714-682-8390, 626-259-5536 and 702-520-1196. Hopefully this will work.

I receive daily calls from a recorded message identifying itself as "John Stevens of Debt Solutions." When I pick the option to speak to an operator, I am put through, but as soon as I start to ask to have my name removed from their list, the operator breaks the connection. I do not have caller ID on this phone line, which is a dedicated incoming line from which calls are never made.

I got the same call and seeing the numbers everyone has posted, it leads to California area codes.  So, here is the solution, REPORT IT TO THE ATTORNEY GENERAL of California!  They have a consumer division at the link below:

i did get a number that you can call for them and you do get a real person, however when you ask them to remove your number from their list they either say "hello? hello?" and then hang up or just hang up, AFTER they have already said something to you. HUGE PAIN

Call 866-225-1956 and they will remove your number. Rember to keep the number that Jon Stevens is calling you from.  They can trace it and stop the calls. The people are really helpful and hopefully this will stop all the BS!

As soon as I get these calls I press 1 - someone answers and the first thing out of me is "This is the FBI and unless you want to get arrested, put John Stevens on the phone".  1/2 the time I get a hang up and the other 1/2 of the time (on their dime mind u) I hear rustling voices in the background about being arrested and it's the FBI....then they hang up.  Payback on their dime and hopefully people answering will get up and walk out.  Anyone got any other ideas of what we can combat these idiots with when we press 1 and get a human....

These people need to stop calling me. they call everyday 3-5 times a day.

I called the number 1-866-216-0842 and tried to get my name off their list, but they kept hanging up on me. So I told them I needed debt help, and they still hung up on me. So finally, I got someone who transfered my to his "supervisor" and I told him flat out to take me off the list. He said he would, and the calls would possibly continue for 3 to 5 days. If they call again, I'll act like a "customer" until I get a supervisor and then I'll threaten to sue them.

great idear about the fax but they still continue to call from diff numbers. I have several. they have been calling me for over six months now.tried going thru attny gen office with no resolve. Another thought. no point in getting frustrated over it, instead have fun with it get as stupid and buligerent as you can. It seems to be the only way i can find some solus. for an ex: I would ask the oper if they take it in the a**. I would also call numerus times when I'm bored and say my name is johns stevens and i would like to do you in the a** mother f.... the best number to call that they always answer is 978-370-2203 Have Fun

you are right the 866-216-0842 is the number to call them over and over again and waste their time and they have to pay for the 866 call.  If you keep calling they keep answering, eventually they'll take you off.  I am blowing up their phone today.  you do get words in edgewise it's funny.  I've called over 50 times so far.  They hate me, they say they only have two agents there and that they get $5.00 for every call they answer.  Which is great because whoever pays them will see that they took calls but made no sales.  Send them faxes to this number, they will answer but the fax will never go through so they will just keep getting call after call until you tell your fax to stop trying.  Isn't redial and revenge on these guys great?  LOL

I just called Morgan Drexen @800-868-1458 as mentioned in posting from Chris on August 6th. Very nice person on the phone apologized and took our company number to "remove". I will call them every time I get a call from now on. It takes 7-10 days to remove from the calling list according to the person who took my info.

The call comes from 978-570-2203. I receive many calls a week on many lines from 'John Stevens'. If I wait for a live voice it is foreign sounding and they hang up when I say I want on their do not call list.

Thanks for your suggestions.  I called the 866-216-0842 number several times.  Usually they hung up on me.  Finally someone listened long enough to understand they were calling the Captains office on a U.S. Navy ship and were disrupting operations.  The call taker told me he would take the ship numbers off the call list.  We'll see if it really happens.

I pretended to be interested in their service and was able to speak with a person from a company that is actually paying these scum bags to annoy us and keep harrasing us.  The name of the company is Morgan Drexen.  Their phone number is 800-868-1458.  I say we call them every time you get a call from "John Stevens" and let them know what you really think.  Also make sure that you go to the national do not call registry and add all of your phone lines to it.  After 30 days you can start filing complaints with the FCC.  If enough of us do this then maybe we can make a change.  This will require time and effort from all of us.  I hope those of you as fed up with as I am will follow through with this.
