Just got a call from this number, didn't talk when I picked up, wonder who it was.

I just got a call too, but I didn't pick up. I think is a debt collector from santander consumer. If u have business with them, they might be the ones.

THIS MAY BE A SCAM. American Client Services 714-782-0005 has a website amcerv.com that's registered to domainsbyproxy which is a favorite tactic of scammers who want to hide their real identity. amcerv talks about compound interest and paying off your credit card debt in general terms but does not spell out in detail what ACS will actually do. ACS wants you to contact them for a free consultation and I suspect they will offer to reduce your CC interest and/or interest rate for a fee during the contact. Be aware that as of 10/27/2010, it is *ILLEGAL* for companies to charge up front fees for help on unsecured debt like credit card debt http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2010/07/tsr.shtm that states "fees for debt relief services may not be collected until ... the debt relief service successfully renegotiates, settles, reduces, or otherwise changes the terms of at least one of the consumer?s debts."
Just remember --- IF ACS WANTS AN UPFRONT FEE, THEN IT'S A SCAM.

I have no debt so yes they are scamers.  I agree Malika you are one of them.  Get real people are not as dumb as you think.  They know who to believe and who not to.  You are in the not to list.

they called me at 2:40pm... i answered since it was a 714 area code. some woman said 'hello is your mom there'. i asked who it was and she said 'sandra from american client services is your mom there'. i said no and she said shed call back and i said 'no, dont'. i dont even live with my mom, how did she get my number...

So then why are you looking up the number on here? Happy customers don't need to do that, the drivel you posted shows you are one of the scammers. How about you go back to the boiler room, running the scam on this site doesn't work.

you guys are so dumb.. if they dont leave messages then call back and yes they do help u with ur debts and i know that for a fact cause they helped me out and im debt free now.. i checked me crsit scores and they are improved..

no its not disconnected.. its because business hours are from 8 to 5 and if they go out to lunch then they turn off the phones.. call during those hours and see if they pick up...

Got a call from them 04/29/2011 8:02-am on my Cell Phone I was woken up from a deep sleep since I work night shift, I don't know where they got my number from, these a** holes don't have a right to use my cell minutes or disturbing my sleep, the guy claimed he can reduce my credit card debt which I have, I told him that I don't have any credit cards (by the way it's the truth) he hung up.
later on the same day I called back to the number 714-782-0005 a recording says " you have reached the number that has been disconnected or no longer in service"

Theses guys might steal your identity if you give them any info. be careful.

Called me @ 11:03 on cell, I answered, nothing was said. I hung up.

I have been getting calls from this number too. I think they should not call you on your cell phone. I dont know how they got my number. They also have called the house. They didnt leave a message.

I received a call from this number this morning at 8:06am. I called it back and it is some kind of information line regarding reducing your debt. The name of the company is American Client Services. It is still annoying to receive these calls even when you put your number on the do not call list. Maybe the do not call list is really a call list....reverse psychology. :-(

Stop wondering!  I called the number back on 3/27/11 11:30 Pacific Time...Organization Name is "American Client Services...dedicated to returning America to debt free living."  I looked up their website, amcerv.com...looks like they help folks develope an approach to ridding themselves of debt...I did not check, but probably has some fee involved.
