It IS Bank of America. I applied for a job through their website and had their HR department call me from here. It's not a scam.

Received call to cell phone. Couldnt answer, but they didnt leave a message

Got two calls today from this number on my cell phone and I answered neither of them.  The first call left a voicemail asking me to contact someone at Bank of America at an 800 number.  The message sounded like it was a prerecorded male voice.  The second call didn't leave a message.

update - This is Bank of America's call center in Southern California, for multiple departments. If you dont have an account with BoA, call is probably due to mistaken number on one of their client's accounts.

its def legit....just got a message from BOA looking for my ex boyfriend...who i know lost his job and had a hefty loan with them and I know for a fact I was put down as a reference on the loan......trying to collect their money.

abusive individual calling stating he was from bank of america saying something about a chevy silverado..

I dunno, this number seems suspicious. After I appled there, they called me to "confirm" my email and social security #.. Who asks for a SS # confirmation over the phone?? I'm gonna go to one of their branches to get some things cleared up over that matter..

I get calls from this number on occasion, they never leave messages.  I do not know anyone with this number and I will not call it back unless they leave a message with a good reason.

This stuff is still on going...as of January 2010....I don't answer unknown numbers. the callers (they called twice first Olga then Wendy) and said it was about home loan and call 877-420-7570....don't trust anyone ...

I applied for some BoFA credit too and got a call from this number too. So looks like this is legit.

I just received a call from a lady claiming she is from Bank of America and that the phone call may be recorded.  She then proceeded to try and confirm with me that I had received an Obama program to avoid foreclosure letter in the mail, which I had NOT, and wanted to verify my income which I sure as hell would not do.  I then inquired if she was aware of all the notes on my account to which she answered yes.  I then said ?then you must be aware that I have documented a long history of Bank of America not having respected this process and I have now retained a lawyer to represent me.  She just hung up on me.  The phone number she called me from was 714-792-0931 (Placentia, CA) and I attempted to call the number right back but received a ?this number is no longer in service? message.?

Caller Dwayne from BofA called to verify employment of an employee.  Did not answer 3 times, at which point a voice mail was left.  The caller only asked if an employee works here, his title, and my title.  Seemed legit.

Same as other comments here, BoA wanted Kenny (not me) to call back (866 number this time); from the other comments, it seems like a pretty bogus scam someone has running here under the BoA banner.

BANK OF AMERICA- Auto Loan Division.  They are the account managers once your car loan is 2-4 months past due.  They are your last chance to negotiate payment arrangements before getting your car Repo'd.  So CALL THEM!

just as an FYI: i requested informaation from bank of america online and received two legitimate calls from a BOA representative from this number.... 714 792 0931 and when i just called the number back there was a bank of america recording....

Woman called and left a message in spanish... was told that the accent of the voice and dialect was actually from spain not mexico (being in AZ I had several people listen to the call who could understand it that told me that)

I don't give out my cell number for anything so I know the call is bogus

I got this call almost every two days, but when I take the phone and they are HUNG UP on me, and the call ID show is (714) 792-9031. EVERYONE should beware when you see this call.

I got the same call. The man name Dan asked me to authorize payment behalf of my husband on account number that we do not have ending with 3519. He told me that the payment is for 800 dollars and was not paid since February. He asked me to give authorization to take the money from my husband?s bank. I refused and he started chocking stating that he has a medical condition. I said what is your name and he angrily replied what is yours. I told him and he handed up. I called my bank and I talked to representative from frauds. Then I called the 714-792-9031. The account manager gave me the supervisor. They looked at all my accounts and said that they have no account with this ending. Than they gave me the collection department. The Bank of America should investigate this issue because I am withdrawing my money from there. It is not secure. The same happened to my husband. I feel that I can not trust BOA if they do not protect me or inform the costumers that there is a fraudulent call going around and we should notify the BOA or what we should do.Thanks!

I got a call from 714.792.9031.  Linda from Bank of America calling. I called back 800.552.5203.  Daniel told me I have not made my car payment because they mailed my statement to the wrong address.  Took care of the whole issue over the phone.  Thanks for calling BofA!

Called 4-8-2008  At 10p.m  Are they crazy? People do sleepat tha hour. My wife answered told them I was in bed. The guy wouldn't leave a message.

Didn't answer call. Voicemail from Stephanie at Bank of America, looking for Anna P. regarding "an urgent matter", left the number 866-731-2685.

Called the 866 number and asked for Stephanie, they tried to put me through but her line was busy. They took my name and number and said they would get my number removed from Anna's account. They were really nice and seemed legit... I wasn't the one they were trying to get a hold of for the "urgent matter" though...

I received two phone calls about fifteen seconds apart on my cellular phone. I have never registered for anything using that number, I use my house phone number. Both times the phone didn't even finish ringing before whomever is on the other end hung up.

i received a call on m cell phone from this number.  when i answered, they immediately hung up.  a couple seconds later, I received a call on my work number.  I answered this call as well, but they hung up again.

I am applying for a job at Bank of America.  When a Human Resources
recruiter calls, the 714-792-9031 number shows on my caller ID, even
though the BofA employee's direct dial number is slightly different (the
area code & prefix are the same).  This must be a BofA operations center
located in the Yorba Linda area.

Man called from this number.  Claimed to be from Bank of America and was looking for an employment verification.  This call will not be returned

A female left a voice messege and a 800 number on voice mail. She claimed to be with bank of america and wated to talk about my bank account (which I don't have with them). Someone should block this number or investigate these schemes.
