Don't call me

I have been receiving repeated calls fro 714-479-4358.  Someone calls, but there is nobody there to speak to when you answer the call.  I called the numb back and received a record message that the call was from the Orange County Register Marketing Department and that i should ignore the call.

I checked to confirm my phone number was registered with the government, "DO NOT CALL' list.
It was still active and I filled a complaint.  I urge other to file a complaint.
if I am not mistaken it is at $1000 per violation in California. Other states are much lower.

Good one LOL! I'd have sent them to the FTC or FCC phone #.  Still, its inexcusable for them to keep calling, and the laws has changed also.

I had been subscribing to the OC Register Sunday paper for a couple of years, I recently cancelled my subscription.  After I cancelled, I became inundated with calls on a daily basis.  I finally called their customer service number at  877-627-7009 number and told them I wanted to change my phone number on my account.  No problem, she said.  Then I gave her my new number 714-796-4358.  That's right - I gave them their own telemarketers number!  I have not received a call from them since!

I get calls all the time and it started when I was 16. However today when I answered, the guy asked if I was Stephanie and when I said yes, he hung up. It was really creepy and made me very uncomfortable. When I tried calling back, no one answered and there wasn't an answering machine. I'm really tired of this several times a day and am officially freaked out.

It's the Orange County Register. If you answer it just once and tell them several times you don't want the newspaper, they will stop calling you. Good luck!

Got my first call from this number. I don't ever recall subscribing to them. I'm glad to know it wasn't just me.

I just want to let everyone know that you can get the Sunday Register at the 99 Cents Only store every Sunday and only pay $1.08 including tax.

I finally blocked that number with my cell phone provider- so annoying!

This is the Orange County Register and they are calling me 3-5 times a day...even on the weekend sometimes.

As others have posted this number never leaves a message and calls daily.  Super annoying.

Still getting numerous calls throughout the day on the landline from this number - 714-796-4358 - most recently at 11:27am and 12:13pm - I answered the 12:13pm call but nobody replied to me, then it went to a fast busy...  makes me wonder if it is a machine doing the calling to check to see if the number it called is valid...   very, very annoying!!!

call 714 796 6789 and tell the live person to take you off their list immediately!

Horrible/unethical company. I cancelled, and I must be on their list forever because they constantly call me.
Worst yet, I had previously signed up on a promo for a year. Telemarketer told me it would end after a year. Liar! After one year, papers came anyway. Liars!  Effers sent me a numerous bills at a very high rate, tell me I now owe them $9. Then sent me to collections!!!  for $9!!??  Are you effin kidding me!  Would never do business with them again!!!!!

I get calls from this number every day! When I answer, nothing happens--there is a hangup.  I've attempted to call them back (to tell them not to call me), and the line appears dead. So I can't even contact them to tell them to leave me alone!! Other comments here say it's the OC Register; is that true?

I canceled my Sunday subscription to the OC Register a few weeks ago.  Now they call multiple times a day but I do not answer.

This woman called and was so rude because I wouldn't renew my subscription and she repeated the same annoying comment 3x basically made me feel stupid b/c I'm not with them.  How dumb, I will never go back to them and I hope she gets fired for not having the right skills for the job.  Plus, don't call people if you're not having a good day..

I get calls from this number 5 times a day! from 7am to as late as 11pm.

The OC Register call me at least twice a day asking if I want to continue paper service. The calls are spaced out to once in the morning and then in the evening. I've asked them many times that I'm not interested, yet they still call. At this point I just ignore the calls.
