I recieved a call from this number a couple times now saying I owe them $1,500 for their client "Continental Finance" (a credit card company). My max on that card was $200, but thats not what I owed when the card closed. They threatened to have legal papers served to me at my place of employment. Was told if I gave them my credit card number and set up monthly payments to them, they would not attach my wages. So I did. They told me they would send confirmation of this to me in the mail. They never did. They never gave the name of there company....stated they worked for a lawyer. My bank statements don't show whoes taking my money....just has LAR FULEERTON CA next to the transaction. Since June they have collected $1,000 dollars from me. I've spoken to 3 people...Lisa Martin, Stephen Stanwhich, Ronald Wright and a Sandra who refused to give me her last name. Course I'm sure those are ficticious names to boot.

I got this call for my husband who is out on the road.  I tried to call them back to tell them that i wasn't going to be able to make a payment on one week and arrange to pay extra the following week, but when I called the number I had spoken to them on before, it was an answering machine for something totally different.. after a couple weeks they called me back and left a different number on my answering machine to call them back at. My husband didn't remember having a bill for that much through the company they claimed they were hired for.  I then tried punching the numbers into google search and came across several sites like this.  I feel we were scammed and lost several hundreds of dollars to this fraudulent company.  Please, before you pay them any money, make sure you actually owe it to them!

Hot air heh? how do we know those attorney's you talked abotu are even lawyers. THEY could be a scam. wouldn't htat be smart. i even have the phone number of the people who served me, because they left the business card with my payroll.  they are in nashville if you don't believe me, they are called the american process servers. even in the yellow pages.

You people are ridiculous! Do NOT listen to what these people are saying. I got a call from Lisa Marten 3 weeks ago, and I called in twice. She didn't return my calls. I thought it was a scam after readin the post from MissMalibu,so after she called me two day ago, i didn't return the call. I get called in my HR/payroll at my work and there was a server with a frigging COP. I have to go to court, and the payroll lady at my work told me that they can garnish wages in our state, so thats probably whats going to happen. I called Lisa Marten and since i was already sevrved, they can't do nothing. Seriously, i really hope these "ATTRNEYS" from Krohn Moss are real attorneys and not FAKO'S. Because now i'm screwed. Do your self a favor and call them back because she told me that i could have setteled this out of court and now i can't and they're gunna take my money, i have no choice.

I got 2 calls from a private # saying the same thing as everyone else "process server" call for a new attempt to serve you and avoid legal complications contact Lisa Martin.  This is a big scam.  If you are being sue by a debt collector on behalf of a credit card company or a legitimate debt the process server will come to your home and serve you the papers in person.  Do not contact these people.  Also they can only sue you in the state that you reside.  You can however contact FDCPA Attorneys Krohn & Moss at 1-800-875-3666.  What these people are doing is a violation of your rights.

I got the same voice mail today (first time) asking me to call Lisa Martin to set up a new court date to go get my documents from 8a-2p. Gave me a file #.

I rec'd a call from a different number with whome they told me to call this number and speak with an atty: Phelps..He was stating that i owed a debt that was about 2k more than any debt I have ever had for any credit card. he put me on hold to ask the other atty some question. He had me on hold for about literally ten secs and came back and told me what the "atty" said...It took him about a minute to explain..To which I replied unless your atty is an auctioneer u r full of crap..I had gotten scammed similar to this about 2 years ago and what I had learned from that experience (after they got money from me) was simple..if they claiim to be an atty just ask for their bar number...to which they have to provide if they are a real atty. I hope that someone reads this before they fall for some scam and loose their bank acct info.good luck to all of you who google this stuff before they get anything or any type of your information...Blessed be:) Stan

Left a 714  number and told me to call Lisa Martin. Can someone please let me know who these people are? I have not called back yet.

I got a call from my work saying someone was there trying to serve me papers,  My work refused them and was told to have me call this 714 number back and ask for a Lisa Martin.  I did and was told they were trying to serve me papers from Contenental Finance.   They wanted a large sum of money via debit card to stop wage garnishment.  I called Continental Finance and was told they had nothing to do with this and that they have nothing negative about me.  I called back again and they were at "lunch" after I told them I needed their name for my state attorney's office to check on this.  Who are these people, what company are they??????

Left a message saying they were from American process servers office and wanted to schedule a time to serve legal papers? And I wa to call back and speak to a Karen white. When I called back, they did not answer the phone as "American processor servers  office". Instead just asked who I was calling for, then when I told them, that person put me on hold. These are a debt collectors trying to use dirty tatics.
I googled american process servers and they are in new York, not California.
