Caller left no message and I do not know who it is from

Same deal as above. Was a computer calling, voice synthesized, reportedly from American National Bank of Texas. Said my debit card was inactive and wanted to process a reactivation. Of course this is a fishing scam to try and get our card numbers and empty our accounts. What concerned me was I used to live in Texas and bank with American National, so I called them to make sure someone had not opened an account in my name. They reported receiving a large number of calls today about this fishing attempt, and that no account was open in my name any longer. The call had come in on my mobile which is frustrating. Turns out the banks are reporting that elderly have fallen for this scam. Wish that button on my phone that says incinerate caller actually worked....

i got the same call and i answered. it was a recording saying national american bank (or something along those lines?) calling to alert me of fraud on my debit card, and press 1 to proceed to take action or something. I hung up at that point because chances are it was going to attempt to get my debit card number and may use it for identity theft?
