SCAMMERS!! This is what happened to someone else:

I was called by some foreign speaking people who stated that they would provide me with information and application to file for government grants. They said it would only cost me $3.87 for registration but they also charged my card $9.95. The merchant name they used was AFC id Safe Haven . Later they emailed me and said that they will be charging me $59.00 per month. I am furious! This is rediculous!

The number is NOT disconnected; they have recorded the "disconnected" recording onto their answering machine so that you will think it is.

Let the recording play, then when it gets quiet, tell them you know they are scammers, and you've reported them. I have a feeling they are listening!

got a call 3 times already, saying ive been approved for a grant, they dont speak english, then ask for credit card information, then call back and they say its no longer in service

I also keep recieving calls from this number... (714-994-2630) 4 or more times a week, but they do not speak when I answer, and it says not a valid number when I call back. This is ridiculous!

I too have received calls on my cell phone from 714-994-2630.  I finally called the number this morning and it says "disconnected or no longer in service"  How can we sue these people that are scamming people?  It is not enough just to report their number, they need to be put out of business permanently and hurt them where it hurts....... in their pocket book and also to show them we are not going to take this from these jerks and rip-off scammers.

DO NOT CALL!  There are many sites dedicated to this phone number and what a scam it is and how some people have even been manipulated to give money and were unable to recover it. I DO NOT ANSWER A PHONE NUMBER THAT I DO NOT recognize anyways and then I do a search on the internet so when I found this I definitely wanted to get off of their listing.  Thank you.

Many people who gave their card info to pay the small shipping charge ended up with the automatic debit scam where strange charges kept appearing month after month on their cards and they had to cancel their cards.

THIS IS A SCAM. This is a version of the advance-fee-for-something scam where something is a grant, loan, scammed-money refund, lottery winnings, interest rate reduction, tax reduction, gift card, refund, doggie, cruise, vacation, free gas, etc., and the advance-fee is for tax, shipping, registration, insurance, secure handling, processing, etc. They may send you a fake check, may want your credit/debit card or bank account number, or tell you to wire cash via Western Union, Moneygram, etc. They can put recurrent difficult-to-cancel monthly charges or a 1-time charge on your card or bank account, and sell account info to other criminals and you'll have to replace accounts altogether. Wired-cash is irretrievable - once it's picked up at the other end, it's untraceable and gone. If they want you to call them up for instructions, they may tell you not to discuss the wire with Western Union desk clerks but the real reason is WU clerks are familiar with these scams and will warn you not to wire the money. Report to US Postal Service Inspectors https://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/forms/MailFraudComplaint.aspx , the Federal Communications Commission http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm , the Federal Trade Commission https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ and your state AG, as appropriate.

You should work for Interpol or the FBI!!  I can't believe these people continue to operate after months of scam reporting.  It would be worth it to scam them back.  I'd "wear a wire".

My husband and I received a call from this number as well (714-994-2630). A nervous little mouse of a man with a slight accent was trying to pronounce my name. My husband questioned him and he hung up immediately. We called back twice and the number was disconnected within 2 minutes. I called back once again and a woman answered the phone pissy and all and denied anyone using her phone.

Get 5 to 6 calls a day from number.  If I answer nobody says anything.  Calling it back says number not in service.  They call between 6 AM and 11 PM everyday.

They told me the same. But they wanted only $1.87 for shipping of my paperwork. Then he wanted me to give him my credit card and when I told him I didn't have it on me he started bashing me asking where is it and where is it and where'd did I leave it. It was horrible. Of course he got nothing from me.

Comany calls and won't stop!  I am getting worried they have too much information on me.

definitely a scam. they work with the same ppl calling from a 424-245-2187 number. They speak with a heavy accent and tell you about free government money. and they ask for a fee for about $2 obviously its a scam. a few ppl have been scammed already dont be one of them. long story short the government does not EVER just give you ANY amount you ask for completely free just because you ask or apply. anyway they switch up their story to match you so they can get your card number, the wont let you write a check or anything else.

I have received four calls in as many weeks from this telephone number (714-994-2630, Buena Park, CA).  Today, finally, I had had enough.  I asked how the man on the other end had retrieved my telephone number and he only repeated he was calling to "...give you free grant money for education or a house..."  I told him that I no longer wanted him or anyone else from his telephone numebr to call me again, ever.  I further explained that:  #1. My telephone number is on the National Do Not Call Registry, and #2...I hung up.

Received call from same number: 714-994-2630, missed the call but returned the call and got the answer- that the phone number you have contacted is no longer in service. WHAT AN A***OLE ALL THESE SCAMMERS ARE.....cant they get out and find a job just like the rest of us working USA citizens. Might i add that the computer phones have griggered alot of unwanted marketers and scammers, as well. God bless those who tend to do other wrong......your day will come SCAMMERS!!!

How did you get your phone to block the number?  I'd really like to see everyone be able to just shut them down.

I just received this phone call and did not who it was. I did not pick up waiting for a voice mail. They did not leave a voice message. I have blocked this number from ringing on my phone now!

I get calls from these people all the time on my personal cell phone, they call themselves "Grant Funding Source".  They call me in the morning, at lunch, and in the evenings on random days.  I have asked them to stop calling me, and then they just call from another number.  I ask for a manager, they say that they do not have one.  This is harassment.  I do not have many daytime minutes on my cell phone, and when I am trying to do my business, this is a huge distraction and annoyance!  I am registered on the national do not call registry.  

I have just filed a complaint about them.
Please do the same!  Let's shut down this ridiculous operation!  Power in numbers!
