someone from this number called me this morning to verify my address, then my answering machine cut them off

My advice....Dont ever answer your phone if you dont recognize the phone number. If they leave a message, listen to it. If it sounds fishy, just delete it. They like to call every now and then. Making up a new way to get money.

This is illegal and it needs to stop.

Ask them for their address, and they probably hesitate to give it to you. DONT let them scare you. There just like telemarketers. Average "Joe" type.

This guy left a message saying he is "Ron Silverman", from a law office. And not even saying what law office he is from. He said I made a mis-communication agreement over the phone for a settlement. And would like for me to reach him at this phone# 1-866-591-8781. And left no ext number.....This number is also linked to 310-831-2112, Stan Cooper saying he works for law b***s***. JUST HANG UP THE PHONE. ITS A NOBODY BUT A SCAM SCAM SCAM.

Called my house several times asking for my nephew, who, according to them, gave our number as a reference.
He does not live here, has never lived here but they keep calling.
When I called back to inform them about my nephew not living here the man was rude and even hung up on me!!

I have filed a complaint with the NY Attorney's Office, the BBS, the Federal "No not call list as well as my state one!!

I have received several calls to my cell phone requesting I call 1-866-591-8781, The Evans Law Firm, ask for a "Mike" and/or "Stan Cooper" related to a very important matter ??? Since, I did not recognize the number, I did not answer the calls.  The messages left are simple--to call their toll free number related to a "PENDING case and it would be in my best interest to return their call."  What weirdos!  "The Evans Law Firm" is on a fishing expedition.  Please be careful with what you tell them!!  Report them when you can!

Received several phone calls for my husband from an account opened in 2000.  The lady calling is a Leann Williams claiming to be from Jason J. Evans Law Firm.  Apparently, she claims there is a PENDING case against my husband.  Now,either there IS a case or there ISN'T; how ignorant do these people think we are? Don't give this lady or anyone else from there the time of day they are bill collectors with no sense of character.  They seriously are a joke.

Someone from this number called my house and left a message for a person that does not live there and said they had time sensitive material involving a court case.   Since it sounded like an important message, I thought the decent thing to do would be to call and let them know that they had the wrong number.   After telling him that he asked if I knew the person, I stated that I knew of her and had heard that she worked at Walmart, and he asked if I would give her the message the next time I saw her.  I said no, and he began to yell at me asking why?   I then stated that it wasn't my place to deliver this message to her, and that I didn't have to call him to let him know he had reached the wrong number in the first place, he then began yelling at me more, and I told him to shut up and hung the phone up.

I happend to google a particular law firm number that was on my caller ID and found this site. I had a message from a "Ms Benjamin" Evan Law Associates asking me that I have 24 hours to contact her on an urgent, sensative matter the number that was left was 1866-591-8781 x115. Who the heck are these people??

on 3/30/09 a Mr. Keller or Keleher left a message on my home phone asking for me but by my maiden name--I have been married for over 20 years.  He asked me to call him back at 866-591-8781.  He did not leave a company name but I looked up the number that showed up on the called ID (716-204-1083) on the internet and found this site and several others that state it is a scam. I have not called them back and don't plan to!

Person from Evan Law phone # 716-204-1083 calling family members and old friends telling them that they need to have me call them back, that they are a law office and start threatening with arrest, etc.  I have notified the state bar assoc. I intend to file a bar complaint. Shady characters,beware and notify the authorities....

Caller identified herself as "Ms.Gomolski"  Jason Evans "Law Office".

Gave a case number and asked me to pass a message to the person she was trying to reach. Left a toll fee number: 866 591 8781

i told them to go to hell. they were saying my mom was in trouble or something.

Received a call - went to voicemail stating a name and county someone lived in is a respondant in a case someone retained them to take care of.
