This place called threatening legal action against a relative that doesn't and hasn't ever lived at our residence, over 12 different times, each time a new lie stating legal action or we need to talk to so and so about a private legal matter and we're going to file papers with, get this the county I live in and that my relative needs to contact them immediately and I need to by law tell them that they called. Keep getting calls with recording that says "...this is an important message regarding a time sensitive issue about your ss #...".  I attempted to block them - but was told by my carrier that I have to file a police report.

Same thing, A call about a time sensitive issue regaurding a ssn#. didnt say who the call was for either just a ssn#. Its a bunch of you know what....

I got the same call with the same message about a dozen times, i think i would talk to them if they would tell who they were or what they knew about my ssn#, even when you answer the call you get the same recording so i just started answering the phone so they didnt fill up my voice mail.And the weirdest part is they call my cell phone which i just changed the number about a month ago.

I kept calling and calling them back.   They answered the phone.   They want a case number or social security number.   I don't have a case number and I'm certainly not going to give them my social security number.   The guy was really irate with me.   They refused to answer my questions and finally just told me to stop calling them.

SCUM COLLECTION AGENCY.  They called my daughter in law parents looking for me, can you believe this?  I never put them down as a reference on any credit app.  Isn't this against Federal Law?  Anyhow, I ignore all calls and have never returned a single call to them an won't.  Some jerk leaves a messages stating some claim # an wants a return call today from me or my attorney.

Someone called my Fathers house, told him that He had to get me to call katie campbell, someone had brought charges up on me, and I could be arrested! My Father is 74 years old, will believe anything anyone says, very upset now! If you need to get hold of a person, I dont think that a lie is the way to do it

Well.. I got a call from them just about an hour ago and they stated my name & said they had my SS# and needed me to respond or it would be file as a "fail to cooperate".. The thing is that I have only had this number since Sunday.. How in the world would they have gotten it this fast?

I received a missed call from the above number that I'd never seen before. When I called it back, I was routed via an automated message identifying the company as QAR, to a Mrs. Hill. When I asked her why someone from this number had called me and to what the call was in regard, she went silent and began searching for my phone number finally saying in an accusatory tone that "there was no number like mine in the database" and unless I gave her my name she "have to assume I was in error". When I asked her again about the nature of the company and call the line went dead.

Left a voicemail message: "Hello, this is an important message regarding a time sensitive issue about your social security number ..."

I been getting this calls too and from a lot of diferent phone number, whic at the end all are conected to this SCAM.

DO NOT GET SCARE, AND DO NOT CALL THEM BACK....AGAIN DO NOT GET SCARE AND DO NOT CALL THEM BACK IS A SCAM.

The best advice that I can post here is: If you do not know the number do not answer, once they hang up save the number in your phone with the "SCAM" word, then just delete the message.

i agree a scam,seems all the banks are out there if you had a loan or acct in the past there now looking  for me,,why to get my business,but most of these are scams,and the reason the ecomomy is so bad they are trying to rip us off,i would get in touch with someone in your area and have them searched i just tried ,,all i know is QAR   ,,,,,,,Q  i dont know but AR ,,is suppose to stand for account recievalble,and if so,you would get letters in the mail not just phone messages,

Wow! Yeah Kaitlin Campbell called me too and told me they were suing me for 4x the debt I owed but were willing to settle for what they bought the debt for.  I told her that I was wondering what I was going to do with the 2000 in my bank account cuz I decided not to go to Mexico NOT! Anyways- I thought it was legit cuz yeah I do owe this money on this card and offered arrangements but she denied payments. I told her see her in court. I did some research.....I'm going to state what I found out but check your state laws! I can't be sued because I've moved to another county than where I signed my contract and they don't have an attorney in my state.

LOL - I just got a call from "Tennessee Smith" as he said thats what his name was from QAR.  Actually, he left a message, because I DO NOT ANSWER CALLS FROM PEOPLE I DON'T KNOW.  Yeah, I know I owe money, only because I lost my job, thanks to Arnie the great gov of CALIF.  Stupid f****r.  Anyways, yeah, get in line s*** head.  You are actually the 32nd collection agencies phone number that I have saved in my phone - which I set to be ignored when you call again.  It will just go to voice mail and that will be deleted when i get around to it. What is hilarious is that I only owe three different credit card companies, a total of all three under $10,000.  Whats even more hilarious, is the times that I did call these companies and asked for some help, (or payment options, etc.) and all of them denied me help, because at the time I called, I hat yet to be deliquent with any of them.  I was trying to be honest and up front about what was to come and NONE OF YOU wanted to help.  So, s*** my ****!

Got a call at work about an 'employment verification' of some bogus fax number. Then a minute later got a call on my cell phone regarding my social security number. Same voice and and same caller ID number! Talk about a scam!

I received a call from kailyn cambell saying i need to get in contact with her immediately im being left in the dark about a legal matter after checking my background something didnt seem right to give her a call at 716 210 1341 ext 215 immedieatly. I called and got an answer machine i then hung up and googled the telephone number.

don't worry it is a scam!! don't sweat it!! they cannot do anything! if u r still upset? let the BBB of ur city aware and put the number on the national do not call register!!

Call your local Attorney General's office and file a complaint.  Also contact the Federal Trade Commission and report them there as well.  Provide both these agencies with the name and address listed above.

QAR is unfortunately a legitimate recovery agency, but never make any repayment agreements with them.  Do not give them any of your personal information.  Don't return their calls.  If you wish to settle a debt, contact the original creditor and ask them which companies they employ for recovery purposes.  Choose to do business with anyone but QAR. They are the most unprofessional, rude, and sneaky company....  They will refuse to give you written documentation of your agreement, or receipts for any payments you make. They won't let you speak to a supervisor.  The only person at QAR who is courteous and efficent is Mr. Price.

"negative statements against you," "so we can protect you," "done a background check and I can see you have never been involved in anything like this," "some has 'filed' this - not me - I didn't do it - and I don't know who..." references to my "known associates" and "daily activities" and on and on and on in around a 3 - 4 min. message, addressing my voicemail by using my first name in the most personable and friendly way, as if she were just trying to help me out, by making this heartfelt personal appeal to good sense and reason, backed up by a good dose of THE BOOGEY MAN IS OUT T0 GETCHA!

I get threatening calls. I get stern calls. I get calls from obviously India-based call centers requesting a "location information," but none so bizarre and outlandish as this

Same approach as above.  When I continued to questions Troy Ellis,and asked him for the name and number he wanted, he gave me the wrong last name and phone number.  I told him that and he said he had misdialed.

I'm not going to pretend I don't owe some money. This is 2009 and I'm in the same boat as millions of other people. I paid what I could for as long as I could and then I couldn't. I contacted the people I needed to and tried going through the proper proceedures. But they want to sic a bunch of criminals on me after these banks took billions from the bailouts. So I say - f*ck 'em. I live in one of the hardest hit areas of the country and I'm lucky enough to have a job for three days per week to try and survive. My credit is shot so I'm in no hurry to pay these pricks back. I would if things pick up. I'd try to pay them back in full and not some settlement.
But here's what people need to know. There are millions of people in the same boat. They can't sue them all. It's kind of like the illegal downloading thing - too many defendants not enough lawyers. So I've learned to sleep easier at night. These people have access to your credit reports. They know if you have an income and what it is. They can sue me all they want. I'll be found guilty and ordered by the judge to pay up. I won't be able to and they might haul me back into court for the second hearing where the judge determines if you have the ability to pay this debt. If not it goes away. I don't want it to come to that or to have to file bankruptcy but keep pushing it QAR and that's what'll happen. It's not hurting me any more than I already am. They don't want people to know that those routes are available.
My other advice - caller ID and a phone with a ringer you can turn off. These jerkoffs called me ten times a day when they first started. Now it might be once a day. Keep wasting your time, QAR. Pay these sacks of garbage 10 bucks an hour to call and make up lies and threats. When I do have enough to start paying my bills again it won't be through you. I'll contact the place I owed money to in the first place. If they don't want to take my money anymore - whatever. If they sold the debt I guess they don't care about my account one way or another anymore. That means these leeches have probably paid pennies on the dollar to take over that account. That's what I'll give you people - five to ten percent. Truth be told it's probably been sold a few times. These jokes probably have 1-3 percent of my debt invested in this. So give me a ring with a settlement offer of five percent and we might get somewhere.

Bottom line - unless you owe tens of thousands of dollars to any one place they probably don't have time to deal with you and won't get to you before the statute of limitations runs out. Ignore them and be ready to follow one of the options I laid out above if you are one of the people who get sued.

Got a call from a Mr Chuck Byer or Dyer from QAR at my job, stating that he needed either me or my lawyer to give him a call back. This is a total scam.

My dad called me and said someone called him and asked for me. My dad called me and let me know a man from QAR called. Gave his name and number 1-716-210-1341. I called the number and said I was in default of my WM now Chase for some time and was needing to pay the amount or I could have my wages garnished or my property taken from me I guess he mint my house and land. I don't know. But I did know I needed to pay even at lest a settlement but I don't have the money right now. What do I do? I don't know what to do. The people I have talked to from this QAR said I could pay $2500.00 settlement and my debt would be taken care of. If someone knows please let me know please!!!

Got a call this morning, made the mistake of answering it.  She asked for "Tori" and not my full name like companies usually do.  Really sneaky. I thought it might be someone I knew. Nope.  She said it was regarding an old
acct I had with Chase (which I knew had been charged off) and I told her I'm doing a bankruptcy at this point, outta work no money, etc. She said "ok, I'll just turn this over to the proper authorities for the background check for the DMV".  'click'. That's it. just hung up.  I laughed.  I don't have anything, not a car, nothing, they could take even if they *were* legit and could do something.
After reading the lenghty comments on these ppl, that call made my day.
To think ppl like her are wasting their lives making a living out of harrassement and lies.
