When a collection agency calls you and hangs up or doesn't leave a message, is not a harmless tactic. They are establishing contact with you whether they talk to you or state their business, it's all about phone records.It's proof that they had been in contact with you in some form or another. They do this to help build their case against you if they take you to court.

Called today. Did not answer, and no voicemail was left. The caller ID only said New York, and the number.

This number has been calling me for a few months, and they never leave a message or when they do it's four seconds long and is someone breathing then they hang up. I've never gotten anything in the mail stating that I owe anyone money, though I am pretty confident my debts are all settled at this point. I've also never received anything in the mail from the company that others have listed above.
I have answered once when they called and kept saying Hello, then a man came on the phone said something in jibberish and hung up on me.

Debt collection company, calling in regards of debt which had already been paid. They insist they own the debt but as soon as you ask for proof they hang up and when you call them they deny calling you.

i called back from a blocked number and a lady answered and i think she said greystone alliance.... definitely greystone but im not sure on the alliance

Someone from this number calls and doesnot leave a message.. so today I decided to answer, a man with a deep accent ask for me by a name I have not used in years. So I said this is her to see what he had to say. All he said in fast words sorry to bother you and hung up before I say anything. What the hell!!!!
