Got call from a MS. Colvert from Marshall Jones office. 2 complaints filed against me for fraud charges. If they don't hear from me within 24 hours they will transfer to legal department as direct refusal to pay....

I got a call from them as well saying exactly the same things and that if I didn't comply a sheriff would be serving papers to my door for legal actions. I just realized this call and a few others started about a week ago when I checked my credit score online...

She stated that there were 3 reported complaints and if I did not respond then she would have to take legal action.  "Mrs. Covert" stated that they are linked to my social security number. I was just left a message. Do I take it seriously because she mentioned my social security number? How do I know it is a scam?

You replied to a post saying clearly that it's a scam, but yet you ask.

They want your money.  They are criminal scammers who try to scare people into paying on debts they do not owe.  They want your cc or bank info so they can steal your money.

So is this a scam or not? They called me and I'm so confused I don't understand what they want

I just received a call from this number and they said a complaint has been filed against me and it is linked to my social security number. I have no idea what this could be and anything having to do with my social security number has to be a SCAM. NEVER give out your ss# on line or over the phone!!!

Said they are calling from Marshall Jones office. A report has been filed against me linked to my social security number. If I don't respond in 24 hours they will take action on the report. I have no idea what they want.
