This David Thomas person called someone in my family's phone number where I do not live. How he associated me with their resident is beyond me.   He indicated that the is a claim field in the county I live. I do not write checks and if it had a bad check you can believed county would have already got this information out to me.

I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER WITH A MAN STATING A CASE # AND THAT IT WAS PENDING IN MY COUNTY. PLUS HOW HE HAD 2 AFFIDAVITS AGAINST ME ETC....AFTER READING THESE OTHER POSTS, I WILL DEFINITELY IGNORE. THE CALLER ID SHOWED A LEVOLVE, INC.

So, this number called me a few days ago asking for my mother, saying that he has a notarized document that the county that I live in for my mom for check fraud from a payday loan from 2010 that my mom used me as a reference. I doubt my mom would use me as a reference on a payday loan, especially from 2 years ago when I was living with her. I don't know if this is legit or not... im confused. The guy said his name was David Thomas. Didn't say what company he worked for but was in the fraud litigation dept of his company.

I took a payday loan out in 2010 and closed my account.  This number called me and it was a representative named David Thomas from Bernstein, Ross, and associates.  He was very helpful and allowed me to settle the debt I owed for just over half of what I owed, waiving some interest and fees.  I went through hell getting my credit fixed, and i WISH that more creditors treated me as well as this firm.

This guy called me today, suggesting that a debt from 2007 has been in their office and that they were going to get in contact with the local officials if I did make good on this debt.   Made it seem legit with saying we were on  a federally recorded line.  I have never heard of the BMG (Bahamas Marketing Group) before...

Somone from this number called my home when i was unavailable, so a message was taken for me. I was instructed to call this number back (716-250-3049) and a man named Robert was who I needed to speak to. Well, of course I called because I was EXTREMELY curious to what it was about. Well, when I called and asked for Robert he was the one that answered the phone and he told me that I was being investigated for a crime in Georgia and he needed my information (social, birthdate, mother's maiden) I mean come on man, really you think I'm that frickin stupid?!? OMG!!!

So, my advice: DO NOT ANSWER THE CALL OR IF YOU DO ANSWER, TELL THEM WHERE TO GO AND HOW QUICK TO GET THERE.
