This was from a BonTon card I had 15-16 years ago. I'm not paying. Told them my offer was in the neighborhood of $0. Ha!

This was from an old debt that was well beyond the statute of limitations. They said they were going to sue me and the recording would be used against me. Told them I am going to counter sue. Doubt they will be calling again. It was hilarious!!! Kinda hope they call again.

A message was left on my phone # that I have had less than 2 years for an ex I haven't talk to in at least 5 years. I am married now and faithful by the way. The caller identified herself as Ashley Stewart. She said she was calling on behalf of the litigation department of the National Profiting Group out of New York. She said that documents ahd been fowarded to her from the county and how she had tried to contact the ex several times and since a repayment had been reached she wanted to know what to do since the deadline was soon. She never used the word repayment but you could tell what she meant. My husband said she sounded real nice and honest. The only question is if this was something going to court why and how and why again woud he use my name as a reference? I need to put on my boots before I contact Mrs. Ashley in the morning. Will definately will post if and what she says tomorrow this has to stop.

They are debt collectors??? The only information you will get from them is calls. They are rude and nasty. You will get no information from them, only requests to send them money based on their word. Contact your State Auditor General.

Hmmm, I also got a call from this same phone number (which is from NY). They called my place of employment! Very sweet sounding lady by the name of Ashley Stewart saying that I should call back regarding "county paperwork." The county that I live in is nowhere near the state of NY and I don't think my county office would have called me at work (don't think they even have my phone number) before even attempting to call me at home/cell. The message just sounded too fishy. I actually called the number back to complain to them, but of course, they didn't answer & wanted me to leave a message.. hell to the no!

Just listened to a voice mail from a very polite woman claiming to be looking for someone who'd put me down as a reference and that they were calling all family and friends trying to locate this person (who I've never heard of!) I think it's a new way of bill collectors to locate YOU while stating that they're looking for someone else.... I would've called them back if they had given me a name of someone I actually knew! Nice try though...
