Same like others. They keep calling me and leaving massages to call them back. When i call back,#disconnected.

This is a legitimate, outgoing-only number for GEICO.  I just received a call confirming a new car that the dealership is adding to my policy for me.  Definitely legit 100% GEICO.

Just got a call on my cell and no message left. When you call the number back it is out of order.  I have no claims with Geico and they are not my insurance company.

It's Geico. First they called an hung up before I answered on two rings, but as I was checking it out they called back, and knew enough about a claim I notified them about last week that I'm convinced it was legitimate.

This is definitely NOT Geico. They called around 9:30 AM this morning but did not leave a message. I called GEICO earlier and they confirmed this number is NOT theirs. DO NOT fall for it

My son was contacted by a person calling from this number who said he was calling from Geico regarding a collision caused by a Geico client and involving my son's car among others. The number he left for my son to call was inaudible, so we tried calling this 716-267-4000 number. The recording said it was a disconnected number.

And this is supposed to be Geico?

Yes, they called me immediately after I had put in a claim with Geico.  Nice people.

Wondered if this number is a part of the scam?  Supposedly, if caller is engaged in conversation one can rack up twenty dollars +.

I posted a few minutes ago..saying it was Geico..I forgot to add that if there is question..call Geico and ask if anyone is trying to reach you. We had a fender bender so assuming that is what it is about. It is true that the 716 number says it is not a working number. So don't give out info..YOU call Geico and check would be my decision

Got a call from this number which tells you to call an 800 number..it is legit and it is Geico..only problem is is that there is no "Chelsea" to connect with as the message states..you just get the menu for claims, yada yada. The person who left the message spoke really fast so you don't hear who it is. If you've been in an accident it's probably follow up..don't know yet (I listened to the message 3 times

My son's friend had gotten into an accident and my son was in the car. Geico just called to make sure he was okay and not injured. Took 2 minutes.

There seems to be a mixed feeling as to whether this is a legit call.  Is there a way to find out for sure?

I received a call from this number but didn't answer it.  I looked it up under reverse call and found this website.

they called husbands phone 3 min after I called then to report an accident, left a voice message with a 1 800 number to call, it was Geico.
maybe the number is only outgoing.

The caller has no control over the database that your own phone company uses to look up names that are associated with the caller's telephone number.  So you can blame your own telephone company for being stupid, not GEICO.

This was a call from GEICO. It's a legitimate #. They left a message about a claim. Rather stupid that Caller ID shows shows ALLTELL.

i got a call from this number. a lady with a nice voice started asking specific information about an accident that i was involved. Dont say anything.

We purchased a new vehicle this past weekend and Geico called to verify the info on the account!  This is a legit number.

Geico legit.  I was a third-party WITNESS to an accident.  I had given my contact info to the police and, therefore, to the involved parties as well.  This call was from Geico -- who is one of the involved party's insurer, though they don't say which party.  They were looking for me to make an over-the-phone recorded statement; it's essentially a civil legal deposition.

No good deed goes unpunished, eh.

I've been waiting for a call from Geico. Didn't pick up because ID said ALLTELL New York. Argh!

I called geico they said they don't know anything about ALLTEL. So this is a fishing scam. Don't give them any information.

caller claims to be with geico, leaves a message and wants me to verify information about a claim, there has been NO claim I do NOT have geico, and I have NOT had any incidents in my vehicle, this is either a scam or miss-dialed number, i am not going to return the call as i am unsure of the validity, the number called from is 716-267-4000, the number they asked me to return the call was 1800-716-2777

I received a call from this number claiming that she is calling from Geico and asking for rental car confirmation.  Seems it is a bogus call

yes it is Geico. I have Geico ins. and they called about a claim. Funny though when I tried to call the number back it says out of service.

I just called geico for a quote and 30minutes later I got 8 calls in a row from this number! some I answered and no one was there. Other times it left a voicemail of nothing or long beeps. stop calling me!

It was a returned call from Geico/Traveler's Home Owner's insurance. The caller was polite and did leave a message answering a question about my policy.
