these people are just doing there job--maybe if you scumbags would pay your damn bills they wouldnt have to call you n harass you stupid! its funny how i have never got a call from a collection agency-hmm wonder why--oh yeah! because i pay my bills-on time at that..try it!! some people i understand run into situations where they have tragedies and such in their lives where debt can be a problem but not by choice. completley understandable.. but for the most part you people are just trying to get something for nothing-and you deserve every phone call and harassment you get!! so stop crying about it-be an adult about it-handle your problems-pay your bills-go on with your life.

I'm glad in a sorry way) to see I'm not alone in this. You can now google there name and yellowpage the phone number, but as far as info on the company it is still nothing. I just don't answer the phone when they call because they are a load of bs. I actually responded the 1st time they called and the lady got smart and other ish. I actuallyreceived a threat this morning that I have 48 hrs for me otr my lawyer to contat them about my docket. Everything they say on the phone leads thm deeper into illegal collection practices. And everyone's story on this blog backs it up.

I started getting phone calls from 716-312-0822 and had a guy named shane saying he would summon me, well I had a few other calls before about the same debt that was unbelieveably high. I waited for the summons nothing came. I think its a scam since I've read all the other responses and saw that these guys don't check out and it is a federal matter and wouldn't be handle by the state. He said that they would most likley garish my wages. Is this guy insane. I call the bull$h!t card.

They called my house looking for my husband's EXwife. I called them back and left a message letting them know that she doesn't live here or have any reason to use my phone number as her's. I gave them her cell number and current address, not knowing what i do after reading the previous posts about this "law firm". I got a call from my Mother-in-Law and apparently they are calling there looking for her too.

they told me tht they had  a judgement against me from a debt from april 2000 @ tht time I was a sr in high school. I admit I did use the card however I may have 18 but my mom and dad was still making decisions for me. techincally speaking I was still a child.  anyways this guy insulted me stding I didn't have a job and they probably couldn't garnish my wages bc I'm probably on walfare. I told  him 4 his info I didn't have any kids. I was recording the converstation. he was rude and very unprofessional.  something has got 2 give these collection agency is going 4 to much,

About 6 months ago we start getting phone calls from a supposed company called Eastern Asset Management attorney John Nicollia. These phone calls, actually messages, stated the following: " This phone call is for "Jeffrey" (not my name and withholding my last name) and your case number is 71196, at this point in time please be advised to avoid a sursummons (?)complaint to your physical address or place of employment, it is imperative and required you return this phone call immediatley.
Now mind you we have called these guys back like 5 times and tried to explain to them that we don't know a Jeffrey and it is not any relation to this guy. They have been extremely rude and finally would say they would take our name and address off this account.
Well they called again today and I just got feed up with these knuckleheads.
I called back and explained I am not Jeffrey he doesn't live here and quite freaking bothering us, this goomba (obviously from up East)starting going off saying we know it is you and if you don't cooperate I'll have the Sheriff come out and arrest my A$$. I finally told him to f^%$ off and he will be hearing from my attorney. He then asked for a Mary Lou and Wayne. Then my parents name, obviously I told him none of his business. He then said according to Dallas County you are being sued. He then asked why I have an attorney? I told him to f off again, at this point I consider this harassment and I will be calling the FBI.
Unbelievably, he asked "how do you think you can get the FBI's number?"
I replied "I usually use something called a phone book and if you knew of this you could find my name is listed in it and amazingly it is listed under Jeffrey."
Well he popped off and I hung up.

Anyway, this thing has been going on for awhile so I called an attorney friend and asked him what I should do. His advice was to call back and have them send you something in writing stating what this deal was all about.
So I called and got another guy, I explained to him I would like to have something in writing and please remove me off this list or I am considering
turning this over to the FBI. He calls me a jack***, says he won't send me anything in writing but my address and name are removed from this file.

So I do a little research, I did a reverse number lookup that came back with an unlisted name. The 888 number they had me use is also unlisted. The area code was for Buffalo, NY so I Googled the company and attorney nothing came back, not one hit. Yellow Booked the name and company nothing came up, and got on the ABA website and looked up the attorney's name and yet again nothing.

I am considering calling the FBI because it is out of state, and am concerned something strange is going on here.

It is a phony baloney debt collection agency... they are trying to collect a real debt, but they do it in a VERY shady way!!! They told me first that they were a government agency, then that they were from North Carolina, then that they were a law office, and they would never admit that they were a collection agency.  I did some research and found out that they were just a bunch of scammers trying to get WAYYY more than the debt was worth.

Who is it? The call came from Buffalo, New York.
