A man calling himself Sam Roth from Texas Dept of Legal Services called my mom's home, my mobile and my home. This individual stated that I was being summoned to court on "several" complaints that have being filed against me. I researched before calling the number and found this website. I figured it was a prank and it was someone trying to just make up supposed debts that I owe and try to trick me into paying. Also, these idiots weren't even pronouncing the county I live in correctly so I knew it was a fraud. They can keep calling if they are into wasting their time but I know I don't owe anyone money and I'm not falling for it.

Got a call from this number and told me that he is from Texas legal services. I immediately check the number and found out this site. I didn't give him a chance to say anything else. I wonder how they get your number and can harass you like that.. they come out with last digit of social security number too. He claims there's a complain about me on their office. I wouldn't waste my time to be harass like that.. I know there's people buying bunch of list of old files of unpaid credit cards or loans or something etc etc.. I think they should check it first before they proceed harassing people since few years ago i filed for bankruptcy and all the debt was included to that..

These people are shady, illegal, completely ridiculous morons representing themselves as a "Mediation" firm between you and supposed legal action. The contacted me about a payday loan over 5 years old from when I lived in a different state. I moved to Arkansas and closed my bank account in Michigan not realizing I apparently still had a balance with 500FastCash (according to my calculations this was paid and I have not heard a WORD about this since June of 2008 until now)  Anyway, a woman called my work ID'ing herself as someone in Arkansas who had a pending summons against me and I needed to call above # with a supposed case #.  I had no clue what this was about and got freaked out so I called it. This man at CMS proceeds to tell me that the client wants to sue me for fraud (BS tactic #1) and that I had until we got off the phone to make arrangements because a process server was en route to my work and ready to serve me papers NOW. After doing extensive research I have debunked this because process servers do not call ahead, ever, and if they do, its for legitimate reasons like foreclosure and this is a last resort. They are paid to FIND YOU and would not give you any type of heads up. I got worried and set up payment arrangements that day but then canceled it after finding out that there were no pending charges against me (BS #2)- Process servers and court papers cannot be stopped once they are sent out.  So this was false . I would not have had a chance to clear this up and stop this person from apparently coming to serve me.  On the other hand, I NEVER received any prior phone calls or letters about the debt and all my contact info is current and valid, so there is no reason they could not have contacted me by mail if this was legit. Any reputable company will attempt to serve at least ONE letter and make contact by phone first BEFORE any legal action.   BS #3 includes that debt is NOT criminal, it is civil, and only able to be pursued for 5 years. This company buys junk debts for pennies and then uses cut throat tactics to try and recover money.   After I canceled the payment, some other woman called from an apparent law firm trying to mediate with me again. But did not give a full name for her or the firm, there is NO info when searched or cross referenced by phone #.  The process server apparently called me again today and said she was scheduled to be there at 3 pm to serve me. I just hung up. Ignore these fools!!!!! They cant do anything!
Another factoid for you! Payday loans are not able to be pursued in court!!!  AAAANNND- It was an online loan company that is not licensed in either Michigan or Arkansas . So actually they cant even try to make me repay the debt. Check the laws in your state!
