I received this on my cell phone.  Said his name was John and was with World Travel I think.  He has a very heavy Indian accent.  I asked him if he knew of the Do Not Call List and he said he was glad to know about it.  Then I hung up.

Just got a call from 716-406-4172, wasn't able to answer it cause i was at my desk, i called back and it said that it wasn't a working number. Scared me because i have family up north.

something like Jeff from National Brand Shopping (didn't quite catch if that is what he said) said I was getting this call because I filled out a form at a store and I remembered doing that right?  When I said No??? he hung up.

Received a call from 716-406-4172 at 8:45am on a Sunday morning. I didn't recognize the number so didn't answer.

Almost 10am when the call came in. Same shpeel about me filling out an application at a mall. Guy with a heavy accent started yelling at me within two minutes because I said I wasn't interested. He started yelling "why?! Why not?!" And even mentioned my deceased spouse as he was yelling at me calling him "breanne" initially. It did have something to do with travel. I hung up on him. Going to check into filing a complaint with the FCC.

If they can't tell/list a number....I ignore those calls.

Indian accent.  Called me at 9:50pm.  I'm angry.  I hung up on the guy.

Calls me in mornings no message, and no answer or disconnected when I call.

about the same as the other messages posted. Got a call on my cell phone couldn't hear anybody so called back on the house phone.  I was told it couldn't be completed as dialed.

New York credit card scam

Calling from New York. Another scam call. Called at 8:42 this morning. Getting started early

Don't fall for it.  I did last week....its a come on for a 90 minute sales talk and an expired/past due date gift certificate for free travel.  Scammers.  Bad people.

I answered the number (716) 406-4172 and a man with an accent that was difficult for me to understand tried to tell me the name of his company. When I could not understand him, he got frustrated and hung up.

He then called back with the number (347) 753-9068.

He told me that I had filled out paperwork at a store (something I never do) and that I had won one of two vacation packages.  When informed that I did not live in the state he thought I did and that I had no vacation time, he got flustered.  He told me his general manager would be in touch to discuss my options, then hung up.

Just thought people might like to know he has two numbers.

Got my second phone call on my cell phone in recent days from this number about 10:45 PDT.  I didn't answer it

I got the first call about 30 minutes ago.  The second call from the "manager" came in 20 minutes later.  He gave me an address of where to claim my "prize." He kept asking me to confirm a meeting time for my claim, I said I'd get back to him and asked for his direct number.  (he gave me a number) Before we hung up, he said "I didn't get your name." to which I replied "do you not have it on the card I supposedly filled out?"   He began rambling about the trip, so I hung up.

I then called the location of where he said I can claim my prize.  It was a hotel, and they confirmed that Grand Travel World Wide has reserved a room from 2:00 - 10:00 today.  Basically, its where you go listen to their shpeel about their company.

I called the number back, the person said the company was world wide travel.  I was transferred to the extension given.  Apparently, the person I spoke with previously left for the day.

I didn't give any personal information, and really didn't answer their questions.  Seems like they are just trying to market their seminar.

My story is similar to some of the other posts here. The woman was difficult to understand since she had a very thick accent. She claimed that I had entered into a contest at a grocery store or mall last Christmas. When I pointed out that I hadn't done that, she said I had probably just forgotten that I had. She was calling so I could claim my prize and I told her I wasn't interested. She asked me if there was something making me feel uncomfortable lol.

Total scam.

I asked who he was calling for, he didn't say, something about filling out a survey - as soon as he said lucky draw I promptly hung up on him.

I got a call from them yesterday, same thing, Indian woman with a very heavy accent calling from Buffalo. I entered a contest at a "mall". I asked her "what mall" and she just started listing big box stores, none of which I had been to. Then she started asking me questions like "is it you and your partner, then?" and "how often do you travel", etc. All I really said during the call was "Why?" and "No." Then I hung up. She said the company name began with a "G" " but I didn't even bother to write it down.

Got this call in Toronto as well this AM.
Didn't answer it, obviously a troller.

I received a phone call from that number 3 hours ago, I did answer it, but I didn't hear.  My wife received phone call from USA yesterday, we traveled to USA last month, we left our telephone number when we added to a store membership, the store is called RUUM (children clothing) located in Walden Galleria.  Or they are calling us nor the sell data base to a telemarketing company...

I got a call from +1 (716) 406-4172. The woman had a very heavy accent so I asked her to repeat herself. I asked many times until I made something out. She said "you guys filled out an application...". I said "us guys what?" I told her that I couldn't understand her and she hung up. Weird!!

keeps calling my rogers cell phone....I'll never answer -why do they bother?

I live in Canada, so the unfamiliar area code was immediately suspicious.  Didn't quite catch the name of the company, but it starts with a J.  Called my cell phone at about 1:30 PM on a Tuesday.

Caller said "Do you remember when you filled out a ballot while Christmas shopping?"  

I don't celebrate Christmas, much less shop for it.  Also I hate malls.  Starting explaining that I don't Christmas shop but I got pissed off at being lied to and my temper got the better of me so I started shouting at him to take me off the list.  

He hung up.  

i made him repeat the name of the company he was calling from, and it sounded like "julia" or "iova", and then he launched into the pitch "do you remember filling out a ballot for a contest, in a store or a shopping mall..." - similar to other "you have won" hooks.  pure scam.

Got a call today at noon. Very pronounced indian accent. As pronounced "Jova International" when asked again he spelled it as IOVA.
They say the are calling me because I have applied to win in a contest and gave my number in a shopping mall. I did not visited a shopping mall since early fall 2013 and for sure I was not applying for anything. They say I won the contest bla, bla, bla
My only answer was: I will not pay you anything!
And then they hang up :)

They keep calling and hanging up every few days. Very annoying.

Telemarketing company calling themselves: "Julia Travel". Hung up on them since it's a scam!

Just recieved the call at 9:40AM this morming.  No once answered on the other side so I can't say who it was.  I live in Canada.
