I received this call on my cell phone. The guy on the other end had an India accent, very strong accent and unable to understand. I asked him if he was in the US and he said yes. I kept telling him I couldn't understand him and he had to be a scam. I then told him I was going to record the call and forward to NCIS to investigate. All I heard was a click.

I normally screen calls but seeing I'm in the Buffalo area I took this call. I found this was spoofed and did not originate in this area.

This is a fishing call for live numbers to sell. Calling the number back nets me "Sorry your call could not go through" from my carrier so it is a fake/spoofed number.

I seem to be getting spam calls and texts like crazy these days. Didn't even bother to answer seeing as I know no one in buffalo New York. Screen calls that you don't recognise. You can call back if its legitimate.

GCI, aka AB Vacations, Global Discovery  Vacations, Global Holiday Travel, amongst many more I'm certain, does NOT appear to be a legitimate company nor their representatives. They are still operating out of their Coventry Lane office in Crystal Lake with a paper sign on their door as of January 2012. The reps have no business cards or any written documents for you to take with you UNLESS you deposit money with them and sign a contract that does not protect you in the court of law. Please practice due dilligence and research this company and any company before signing any agreement. The 3 day law only protects you if you cancel the agreement with their acknowledgement. If you cannot get a hold of the other party, your word is against theirs and it most likely will end up in a binding contract with them. If something appeals you, and the company is a worthy one, then the offer will be there in 3 days which upon you have time to discuss with your significant other and not be under any undue stress in the decision-making process. Also, besides doing the math ($ investment regardless of the $159/wk + activity fee; not to mention out of pocket expenses like airfare + food) please consider that if this company should go out of business, there is no clause in their contact stating that you are protected. So.....your investment may not be a lifelong one. It's only good while that business is in operation and/or if the goods are truly rendered as they verbally state. And now-a-days, even legitimate companies are uncertain of their future. Again, none of this is in writiing (contract was inspected....)
Beware - be responsible and be on guard.

I received a call from 716-406-4415.  He identified himself as Robert Garcia of SDS Travel Service.  He stated that I entered a contest and won a weekend getaway.  He was very intmidating and acted angry when I asked for his name and number so I call him back later.  He gave me the info., and now i am posting it here.

Got a call from them too, telling me I had won my choice of a couple of trips. Very heavy Indian or Middle-Eastern accent, even though they supposedly were in New York.  What got them caught? My zip code is shared by 3 different cities. They stated that I filled out the form with the default city, which I would never use on any form that I supposedly filled out. They gave me the 406-4415 number to call back, which was similar to, but not the same as the caller ID number.

To Mark and others supporting the number:  You obviously work for the telemarketing company and have no idea how transparent you are.  "Every buddy" is not everybody, and your grammar is so bad and similar to the caller's that you are an obvious fake.  You have been busted, and busted good.  Go take a long walk off a short pier and quit calling us.  It is obvious you are some sort of telemarketing group or identity theft group, so I hope you get caught and put in jail where you belong.

I just got a call this morning telling me that we had entered a sweepstakes last April at a "mall", couldn't tell me what mall or any other information.  Apparently my husband and I won a 3 day 2 night trip to anywhere we chose including a 5 star hotel accomodation and free round trip airfare.  We had to meet at the Crystal Lake location to claim our prize and listen to a 90 minute presenttion.  I told the gentleman that I would need to speak to my husband and get back to him which is when he gave me tha above number and said that they were called Global Connections.  His extention was #159.  The number that showed up on my caller ID is Clarence Cen, NY716-406-4419.

I just got a similar call from a man named Frank and he said he was calling from Global Connections International.  I asked him for the website and, at first, he said that they don't have one.  Then, he said, "Oh wait...yes...We do have a website and it is www.exploregci.com and that they are located in Buffalo NY."

I checked out the website and asked him to verify AGAIN where they were located.  He said that their main headquarters was in Buffalo NY, but the website said otherwise.  I pressed him about who was the company CEO/President (since Frank insists that he was a Manager).  At first, he said he didn't know...Later (After I heard him typing away - probably going to the website he gave me) he said Tom Lyons (which is what was listed).  Epic FAIL, Frank!  You are a scammer and I am going to have you prosecuted!

Just for reference, he said I should schedule a time to come to the local office here in my area (Crystal Lake, IL) and pick up my prize package.  He said that both my wife and I should be present.  I told him I wasn't available to come until mid-November.  Anyway, here is the address and informaton he gave:

Global Connections Int'l
500 Coventry Lane
Suite 140
Crystal Lake, IL  60014

Phone: (716) 406-4415 x222
Contact:  Frank

Supposedly won a 3 day/2 night trip with airfare for 2.

Call from this number stating that I won a trip.  They said that I filled out an entry, but couldn't tell me exactly where from.  The requested that my husband & I meet at a local hotel, and listed to a 90 minute seminar.  I looked the number up on google to confirm that this was a scam.
