I actually called Vacation Store and confirmed it with the lady who answered the phone.  She told me that they have outsourced their call centre and that these guys calling from New York are one of them.  Still I don't know why the call centre have to represent themselves as some other company.  Anyhow, its legit so you will get a meal and a prize if you attend this hour sales pitch,  but of course the kind of prize is determined by a draw (the guys on the phone told me that I could SELECT my prize which is clearly not true).

Everything in the above mentioned emails is true, the phone calls, the presentation site, trophies, latina ladies, shady presenters, posters, websites, food, cubicles, etc.

Please also read:
http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/resort-villa-c107572.html#c573790

To make a long story short: my sister+hubby bought into their 5-year trial membership @ 1, 500.00 in 2008, and got their member's folder, which actually is titled :Resort Villa Vacations, located at 690 Rowntree Dairy rd, suite 201 Woodbridge, ON L4L 5T7. The 216 Chrislea address seems to only be their presentation location.

The vacation "prizes" they then received where all so very restricted that they never made it to Cancun, Las Vegas nor Orlando, cause you could only book tue-thursdays, not incl. holidays, and the administration fees were like around $600.00, only to make the "not guaranteed" reservations. Furthermore, the prizes were only 6 months valid!!

When my sister signed up for the travel membership, she was told verbally by those gangsters that she would receive a membership confirmation from them by mail within a week, so that they could still cancel the membership within the 10 days cancellation period.
Needless to say, that the "confirmation letter arrived 14 days later and no one had the decensy to answer any calls/emails/fax during the mentioned time.

Finally a couple of days later, after numerous frantic calls. someone picked up the phone at the "reservation" extension and gave her the cell phone to a lady named Roula.
That Roula-witch then told her that they've surpassed the 10 days cancellation period and were thus bound to their membership agreement. My sister yelled at that woman and said that she would go and stand in front of their presentation site and warn everyone from this scam, but Roula told her that she would sue my sister for blackmailing and trespassing private property. My sister swallowed the humilliation and violation of her dignity, and is now just paying the dues and waiting for the 5 years bond with those money-monkeys to be over and never to be associated with TVS, eresortvillas.com, Resort Villa Vacations Club Inc., Bona Vista, nor Triad International ever again.

My sister also mentioned that an other couple had bought into the points programm early into their "cubicle session', which was then 'celebrated', however, she now came to the conclusion, that that couple was probably one of the scammers themselves, a tactic to make the whole deal look more 'attractive' and less harmful.

My sister+hubby fell for those gangsters after feeling absolutely mentally exhausted after the 4 hours presentation ordeal, and thinking that the 1, 500.00 won't tumble them into financial distress anyway, which it didn't, but the violation to their dignity was the hardest to swallow.
They as well as myself have since been to a couple of other shady time share/vacation club presentations, just to slam a big fat NO to those shameless scammers after initially enthusiastically giving the scammers some hope of a jackpot sale and wasting all their skills & efforts in the process.

Btw, according to our researches, eresortvillas.com just expanded their "business" with zipartist.com, so beware!

AND LAST BUT NOT least, please also check the Better Business Bureau website, cause the company "Resort Villas Management Inc." aka http://www.eresortvillas.com, located at 201 - 690 Rowntree Dairy Rd, Woodbridge, ON L4L 5T7; currently does not have ANY rating at all, see it for yourselves at (the reason that there's probably no filed complain, is because buyers of this scam feel humiliated to the core, or just can't do anything due to the signed binding agreement):

They're back...just got a call from them...telling me that I filled out a ballot in one of the malls - sure.  Don't recall filling out any ballots in a mall over the past year.  Pretty crazy how people can get your info.  The person I talked to was seemingly fishing for more info though.  He was going over the criteria to qualify for the prize(s)...age, marital status, income and so forth.  After going over the criteria, he was like hopefully you qualify based on the mentioned criteria...yeah right...like I was about to disclose any more info to him by giving any form of confirmation.  I'm usually pretty wary of these types of calls and hope that others don't get caught off-guard.

Has anyone actually been to one of their presentations? What do THEY GET out of this? Opportunity to sell timesharing? Sounds like a scam -- and too good to be true -- but unclear how?

I got that call and searched online. Their scam company used to be called "vacation store company." Here is the website of a person who actually went to their appointment. http://www.supersam.com/?page_id=58 The page is entitled "Scam Alert 216 Chrislea road"

I just got the same phone call from a person with an Indian Accent saying that a coupon from Nov. 18, 2008 a major retailer (canadian tire, zellers, etc.) drew my name (and 149 others) for one of those 5 prizes. The caller was unknown, the reception was bad (suggesting that it was not a land line), and the background was loud (suggesting there were other calls about the same grandprize in the back). I stayed on the line to get more info about them since i had not clue what they were talking about. They had my address, marital status, age range, and income range... Scary to say the least. I was then transferred to the "senior manager" Sean David. They then said that I could pick it up at certain times sat, sun. Instead of giving anymore info, i said i would discuss it with my husband and call them back (number below) for some 'secret coupon number.' I dont know if this will help anyone but if this is a scam i guess someone who lives nearby can check it out.

Canadian Gifting Center
216 Chrislea Road
Room 202(second floor)
Woodbridge, ON

Intersection near highway 7 and Weston road

"Sean David"'s number was (416)628-9766 ext. 100

I asked the guy to fax me the "ballot" which I had apparently filled out. He said he had it in front of him but it wasn't their policy to fax a copy to people - i could come into their office to have a look at the ballot. I told him I was concerned about fraud and could I talk to his supervisor to have HIM send me the ballot by fax. Apparently the supervisor was in a big meeting and couldn't talk but they would definitely call me back.

Oh when I was talking to the guy I asked him to hold on while I searched online to see if the company was bunk. He waited a short time and then told me to hurry up as he didn't have a lot of time. I told him if he didn't have much time, he shouldn't have called me :). Sometimes it is fun to screw with these guys heads.

This is a scam. They use a number of different phone numbers but it is the same address in Woodbridge, the same company. Here are two sites that have more details on this scheme.

http://www.supersam.com/?page_id=58
http://whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/905481057

I don't know if what they do is illegal, but it certainly qualifies as a scam by any common sense standard.

I just received a phone call from the Canadian Gifting Centre saying I filled in a ballot with my address and phone number.
The name he gave me was the one I use in the phone book. I have a seperate name in the phone book so I know when it is a telemarketer.
He was male, indian accent advising I won 1 of 5 prizes. Name of Mark Cooper, not an indian name.

Canadian Gifting Centre
216 Chrislea Rd 2nd floor
Woodbridge ONTARIO

That is at Highway 7 and Highway 400 area. He refused to hang up, I asked for his supervisor and he put me on hold and then came back himself.

I also receive a call from Canadian Gift Center just now. The manager's name is Steve Carter. After reading all of you folks, I am convince that this is some kind modus operandi to hook people about their marketing strategy. I thank my wife for being so cautious to bite, this make me think twice and search the internet. And I found all of you guys.

I just got the same call - strong indian accent hard to understand, 5 prizes (worth $2000). Sounded too good to be true, so I googled the "National Gifting Center of Canadian Promo" and came across this blog - thank God, now I know for sure this is a scam. The number they gave me to "cancel" the appointment is 4166281990.

OMG. I got this call today. I couldn't even understand what the guy was saying. He told me the address of the "gifting centre" about three times and spelled it out as many times and I still didn't get it. Something to be said for having an unlisted phone number...gotta look into that. It would be worth the money not to have these and other scam artists phoning all the time!

I got the same call and these guys are very rude. They said that the prize was for my parents and I sat there for a good 20mins listening to the guys stupid speech and in the end he tells me that my parents are disqualified cuz i told him they can't speak english. To me this is very racist and discriminating. They got me so mad, I just ended up telling them off and hanging up. Their excuse was that we would have to present ourselves at some ceremony, and there would be no point without knowing english. This is how I know it's a scam.

I got one of these calls today and the caller said he got my number and the caller said I filled out from a ballot, I filled out. Wrong answer. Then he said I must've been shopping at JCPenny, not one in Toronto. Then he said well the retailer gave them the information electronically.  Talk about red flags going up.  I asked for the company details and he said he didi't have that information. I let him do script and got his 'manager' Chad that was selling me the same 5 prizes and a nice dinner he even said I could look them up on the BBB site http://www.bbbmwo.ca/commonreport.html?bid=1031571 and gave me the web address www.vactionstore.ca. When I said not interested he asked to speak to my husband and kept insisting we had to attend the session tomorrow night. I said give me a # and we'll call you back. Then I found this site and the BBB site has received complaints against this group.  Anyone want to call Chad? I tried and it just kept ringing 416-342-1547. This is also listed as one of those mystery call numbers.  I'm glad I really dislike telemarketers, this is the first time we've gotten such a call in over a year.

I got the same call yesterday (i am also in woodbridge) and was thinking of going.  After reading this blog i will not go.  I can't believe how gullable i am sometimes.  I know it was some sort of sales pitch but i guess the idea of a 1 in 5 chance of winning a 50" big screen tv got the better of me.  Luckily, my wife has more sense than i do.
